Hello Adstrata! It's going to be a wild one today, some major things have happened here recently and we are excited to share everything with you, so quickly focus on in as Tony Pepperoni and I continue to share our efforts to Escape from Unknowable Conservatory...as you call it...The News The Gem and Stone Road Show kicks off it's worldwide tour this week in Ayer. Donx brings together gems and precious stones from the region of Ayer as well as others from around the world. Donx has built a monumental collection over the years and is excited to share it with the world. After Ayer, the road show will travel to Vhel, than down to Waha, and up along the pilgrim's road to Thorvulthia, making stops and expositions along the way. Even if you can't make it to one of the show stops, Donx is always ready to stop and share his collection with travelers. Our key story today is one of survival, persaverance, and discovery. About 1 year ago, a group of Klynn were walking up a mountain when suddenly that mountain begain to lift into the air. I'm sure many of our listeners can remember that day. Tony and I were able to actually see it happen thanks to a viewing crystal that had been set up for us to learn more about the Klynn. Recently, many of the missing Klynn returned and have been sharing their harrowing tale of survival. Bumblefluff, one of the returned recently got in touch with us here at the Conservatory and shared a little about what they had been through. The following is a portion of that interview: So tell us, what happened immediately after the mountain drifted from our sight? [Slowly the mountain floated higher and higher. It seemed to continue ascending for hours, but we are not sure how long it really was. Eventually, it stopped and began to float, like a chunk of ice on the ocean. Slowly it drifted towards another island. This one was MASSIVE! There were two massive trees and a huge waterfall. The rock we floated up on seemed to float along with this bigger island, so we jumped over to explore.] Are you comfortable telling us what you found there? [The central island was massive. We found whole ecosystems, even an abandoned village of some type. We immediately ascended up the mountain to where it was coolest and we were the most comfortable. Luckily there was a large lake at the top of the mountain that was stocked with plenty of fish for us to survive on, however it was incredibly isolated and desolate. We are happy to have returned, although a few of us did stay behind. And how did you manage to return home? [It had been some time, passing through many different new regions of the world, but one day not long ago we recognized some sights so we descended from the mountain and congregated on the small rock that we ascended on, which was still there. We figured it would come back down when we approached the site we originally ascended from. It took some time, but eventually we did descend back down. It wasn't where we originally left from, but we were happy to finally be back.] And we are happy to have you back. Is there anything that you miss from your mysterious flying island? [No, not really. It was a difficult time for us. We are happy to have returned and are eager to return to normal life. We are incredibly gracious for the support that we have recieved from the community. The Klynn had previously had limited contact with the greater world, but the outpouring of heartfelt messages and support that was receieved, both by those of us taken away and those who were left behind.] Is there anything else you would like to share? [We have come to understand that the Ailorous are currently in exodus from their attackers. We are encouraging them to proceed to the hills west of Vhel. From there they should be able to ascend back up to the island. It will be tough going but you will be safe] That's a great idea, and we hope that the Ailorous follow through and find safety. We would like to thank Bumblefluff and the Klynn for their time and are happy to welcome them home. To hear the full interview in its entirety, come find us and get us out of here! Residents of the islands in Morthak's Bay have come together to create the Morthak Merchant's Guild. This trade organization is coming together to help the residents of the many smaller islands to be able to collectively trade their wares with Adstrata beyond the bay they call home. Residents of the larger port cities in Adstrata can expect to soon experience the foods and crafts previously unique to the Bay. The Merchant Guild hopes that in the future, they will be able to expand out beyond just the harbor cities and promote trade and exchange with the larger world. Listeners, you may have noticed at this point that Tony is not with us today. They havent done anything wrong (that I know of), but we decided they should spend their time with the egg in the basement instead of doing the show. When we went outside yesterday morning, we discovered that ... The Spirit ... had been INCREDIBLY busy the night before. The tower and university building had become surrounded with wooden awnings and structural supports, over night. It looks like a construction site. If you were to see it, you would think that everything here was new construction the way it is surrounded. Apparently to acquire such a large amount of wood, the entirety of my stocks of lumber and the garden shed were all broken down overnight. Tony and I believe that whatever is in the basement might be about to hatch and cause a disasterous amount of vibrations. If...The Spirit... thinks that it was worth it to destroy part of the grounds and wall up the existing structures, that seems pretty serious to us. Tony is in the basement now, doing what they can to ensure that magically, we are as protected as we can be. I did leave a crystal down there, let's check in. Tony! Hey Tony! How's everything down there? {{REDACTED}} Dante. {{REDACTED}} Tony Pepperoni{{REDACTED}} TONY! {{REDACTED}} How is the egg doing? {{REDACTED}} Thanks Tony, I'm going to let you go now, but before I do, some of the listeners have been asking....how did you feel about the pizza bagels? {{REDACTED}} Thanks Tony. The winter chill is beginning to fade as Adstrata moves into the spring season. As the weather warms up, after being inside all winter, it is naturaly to want to head back out into the world. It is important to remember that the monsters and creatures of the world are ALSO thiking the same thing, so it is important to be careful out there. While here at the conservatory, we are fairly limited in what we can expect to see outside, you, Adstrata, are much more likely to run into something that is eager to eat you right up. So in order to help everyone prepare to head back out, we have invited everyone's favorite grinder, Wyksy on for some guidance! Hello Wyksy, welcome back to the show! {{REDACTED}} We hear you had an excellent showing at the Exposition about a month ago, congratulations! {{REDACTED}} So of course, as things are warming up, we have people eager to head back outside, but as always the Grinders are telling people to be careful for beasts exiting their hibernation. Do you have any general advice for people on how to prepare or avoid unexpected attacks? {{REDACTED}} Amazing. Is there anything in particular that our listeners should be keeping an eye out for? {The mogera have been particularly active and irritable this year. For your listerns that are unaware, Mogera are a large, subterennean species that is known to dig extensive tunnel systems. This year they have been more active than usual, causing sinkholes and unstable terrain.} Oh no! What can we do to avoid falling into one of these holes? {Keep an eye on the terrain as you travel. If you see sudden changes that you did not expect, test them before passing over them. It COULD be dirt displaced by a Mogera.} Good point, is there anything else you would like to share with our listeners? {{REDACTED}} Are you excited for the Gem and Stone show coming up? {{REDACTED}} Many thanks again to Wyksy and the Grinders for taking the time to educate and protect us and the people of Adstrata. The young musician Astrid Yaw, who's songs have been sung far and wide for the past few years has gone missing. About 4 months ago, her tour caraven did not make it to its intended destination in Lavaht. It was discovered that the young Astrid had snuck off with her considerable fortune and charactered a ship to travel the world and explore. This week, the wreckage of this ship was found by a Minar Kruug, a fisherman, off the coast of Ayer. No remains were found on the wreckage. Ships have begun searching the area, but they are not optimistic.
