113 === [00:00:00] Dom: Uh, I do, I think, unfortunately, something is wrong. Like, I definitely think something's wrong with my cooler. I, I ordered a new cooler. Like, my computer right now is at 70 degrees. I'm not, I'm not doing anything. Like, that's, yeah, it should not be that high. I think I have something wrong. [00:00:16] Charlie: Alright, so it looks, it looks okay so far. [00:00:18] I'm looking at it right now. It looks okay. No errors. Well, this was what happened last time, right? Remember when Lyle was like, hey, the audio's off? It's because normally when you start recording in Squadcast, it lines up everything perfectly and it's [00:00:30] fine. I had to like manually adjust it. Um, so if you're listening to this now and you missed the last podcast because you're like, oh, what the fuck happened, I updated and fixed the recording. [00:00:38] So, sorry. It's [00:00:40] Dom: probably, it's probably my fault, but long story short, there is something wrong on my computer. I'm currently, I ordered a, I'm going from an air cooler to a water cooler because at this point they are, yeah, they're water coolers. They're just as expensive. Water coolers are also so much better now. [00:00:56] Look [00:00:57] Josh: at Charlie holding his cup. I'm sorry to cut you off, but this [00:01:00] man is like plugging his new mug and nobody said anything about it yet. It is adorable. Shut up. Got his fucking, shut up. I got this for Father's Day. For the people who aren't watching. Do I need to make this? [00:01:09] Dom: It's, yeah, Amanda is truly the, she's the best. [00:01:12] Charlie: I [00:01:12] Dom: don't know how, [00:01:13] Charlie: I don't know how to get, I don't know how to get the, yeah, you guys does, Amanda, does Amanda have a No, no. No. It's 'cause I have, man, I have manual focus on. [00:01:20] Josh: Does Amanda have a sister by any chance? No. And she doesn't watch side [00:01:23] Dom: right? ? Um, [00:01:29] Josh: it's a, it's a [00:01:30] mug with his two pups face and his son's face. [00:01:32] It's really adorable for the, for the people that are listening and not [00:01:35] Charlie: watching. Uh, but something is, or if you can watch this on YouTube later on, [00:01:38] Dom: something is definitely wrong. All, all one, all one person. Something is definitely wrong with my, um, with my computer. I, I've been getting crazy. High temps and then also like my ram has been throttling. [00:01:51] I think my air coolers messed up. I ordered The new arctic freezer 3 which apparently is a really great water cool I used to always be when I first started building [00:02:00] computers like whatever like 15 years ago or whatever Water coolers were not safe like leaking. It was a real thing I'm still afraid of them. [00:02:08] I mean now now they're Honestly, like you can't yeah, they're great, but [00:02:13] Charlie: you just have to orientate you have to orient or orientate [00:02:16] Dom: Orientate [00:02:17] Josh: Yeah, orientation. [00:02:18] Charlie: Orientation has to be a specific way. Exactly. The orientation has to be specific for the fans. The orientation has to be specific for the fans. [00:02:24] The fan of the Orient. [00:02:26] Dom: I have, the fan I got was the Arctic Freezer and it only goes on [00:02:30] the right way. You can't not have it going on the wrong, so I'm thankful that I don't have to worry about any of that bullshit. [00:02:35] Charlie: Well, you can like have it upside down. Not the Arctic. [00:02:37] Dom: You have to put it on, it only can go on right side up because it uses an adapter to go on to it. [00:02:43] Charlie: Yeah, [00:02:44] Dom: so [00:02:44] Charlie: like, [00:02:44] Dom: luckily [00:02:45] Charlie: that's not an issue. Can you send me a link? Can you DM me a link? 'cause I'm, um, my computer sometimes. Oh dude, it is [00:02:50] Dom: legitimately, it is rated the best. Uh, like, like at home, like non loop water cooler. Right now, the, the Arctic, [00:02:59] Charlie: [00:03:00] I'm, I'm not in the, um, I'm not in a. You know, going to be purchasing any new computer parts. [00:03:06] Cause I don't need to, cause I don't play any games on my computer. Like literally I only use my PC for recording this podcast. I think, [00:03:11] Dom: you know, what's funny about you saying that is I was going to end of the year, they're coming out with like new processors. Wait, you know what, why don't we actually start the intro and then I could talk about computer stuff. [00:03:21] Cause this could be relevant to the episode.[00:03:30] [00:03:53] Charlie: What's up everybody. Welcome to the overachievers gaming podcast. As always, by the one, the only, the Goku extraordinary [00:04:00] himself, chef Krondo. [00:04:02] Dom: He looks so comfortable. [00:04:03] Charlie: He looks so cozy in his, uh, [00:04:05] Dom: you need to get like a lazy boy as your office chair. And then you'll really, you'll really be Zen. [00:04:11] Josh: Right. Well, you know what? [00:04:12] I, I, it's it for me, it's early. I was up until three in the morning grading last night. So, uh, you don't say, yeah, we were just up at three in the [00:04:21] Charlie: morning feeding a human person. So actually it wasn't me. It was Amanda. Cause I slept. Okay. [00:04:25] Josh: Well, you know what, Mr. High and mighty with your child [00:04:30] and your, you know. [00:04:31] adult life. This degenerate over here was trying to kill dragons last night at three in the morning. Okay. So I'm [00:04:37] Dom: in, I'm in your boat, dude. I'm, you know, Hey, look, it's perfectly fine. Hey, by the way, [00:04:43] Josh: Is Charlie lagging on the stream say something Charlie shouldn't [00:04:47] Charlie: be on the stream per se because I literally am yeah on Broadcast [00:04:50] Josh: you're definitely like delayed for me. [00:04:53] Charlie: Well, it shouldn't be on the stream. Okay, so it should be good. [00:04:55] Josh: Whatever I won't look at it because it looks like all [00:04:59] Charlie: One [00:05:00] viewer, which I think it wouldn't [00:05:01] Josh: be it wouldn't be some technical difficulties without podcast Like this podcast is fucked up. [00:05:08] Charlie: It's since they got worse Truly. But [00:05:11] Josh: yeah, I, uh, I felt like going comfy mode this morning. [00:05:14] So I'm, I'm wearing my robe that I bought to go to Otaku Fest and I never went because I'm a fest. I am a, uh, recluse. [00:05:23] Dom: You such a fucking, you're such a fucking [00:05:25] Josh: weep. I am a fucking weeb. Okay, so I saw this and I thought it'd be really funny if I went [00:05:30] as like, like Goku. I was gonna wear like flip flops and a white and a, like a tank top and just be like, you know, I'm Goku in, in suburban Goku retirement mode. [00:05:40] Yeah, Suburban Goku. There you go. Yeah. So yeah, I just saw it on Amazon and I was like, I got to buy this. This just seems like something that needs to be my wardrobe. And yes, and also joining us is [00:05:49] Charlie: the DJ Fast Ham's himself, uh, Ashi Pastrami. Thank you so much for joining us, gentlemen. It's good to see you all. [00:05:56] Dom: I was going to go to the beach today. I really wish I did. That's [00:06:00] why I really wish I did. I really wanted a burger and an Aperol spritz on the beach. That sounded absolutely wonderful. [00:06:06] Charlie: You just reminded me that I need to go get some Aperol spritzes for next weekend. So. [00:06:10] Josh: Yeah, I think I'm ordering. Yeah, that's right. [00:06:11] Now that you just said that. Now I really want Shake Shack. So I think that's going to be my lunch today. [00:06:15] Charlie: So they actually added a Shake Shack near us, uh, and I am not a fan of fast food, but my God, do I love Shake Shack? [00:06:22] Josh: Dude, Shake Shack's fire. I, I, I, I'm not, I, I also like, so part of this year is like me cleaning up my health and all that shit. [00:06:29] [00:06:30] And I don't eat fast food anymore. Well, so that's, that's the one exception to my, like, I, I [00:06:36] Charlie: just feel like they're on the spot, right? [00:06:39] Josh: Yeah. Burgers? Yeah. It's also just like, I don't feel like ass after eating one, like there's, there's definitely fast food places. I don't know how. I just don't. Like, which is weird, but. [00:06:48] Charlie: You get the triple and not the double, is that why? Strong burger. [00:06:51] Josh: Me? No. Dumb. If you think it's a strong burger, it's actually that that's uh, it's a strong it's [00:07:00] strong. It's heavy. Oh, it's heavy. Okay. Well, [00:07:03] Dom: I think it's, I think it's a delicious cheeseburger. [00:07:04] Josh: I'm not saying it's bad. Like when I say strong, I just feel like it's the best out of light. [00:07:08] Well, what of what I can get down here as far as um, Sure, sure, [00:07:12] Dom: sure. [00:07:13] Josh: Yeah, I just think it's, cause they have like one called like BurgerFi, which is pretty good. I kind of, I mean, Five Guys for me, I used to love Five Guys, but for some reason, like, it just went downhill. Like, I don't like it. It's just like a big, I don't think I've actually even ever had Five Guys. [00:07:26] I gotta say, it's not the same as it once was. [00:07:29] Charlie: It's like [00:07:30] checkers don't don't have it. It's not good. I'll fuck [00:07:32] Dom: with checkers though. [00:07:33] Josh: Checker. I mean, hey, dude, you know I'm in a weird [00:07:37] Dom: boat where I'm either I love the ass and bad end of the food spectrum Oh, yeah, and then I and then I love actually I love off. [00:07:45] I don't know why I'm saying this. I love all yeah I love White Castle and crystals. Don't [00:07:49] Josh: even Not even going to try to hate on him. People will [00:07:50] Dom: be like, Oh, Tom, you must be so picky about like, especially your pizzas. No, give me Elio's frozen oven pizza. I don't give a shit. I love, I just love everything. I just want to eat. [00:07:59] I just want to be eating all the time. [00:07:59] Josh: [00:08:00] This is a fun fact that people that are actually really good at cooking, most often do not enjoy eating fine dining and things like that. They enjoy. eating like shit. I mean, and Anthony Bourdain talked about it all the time. The fact that like cooks will spend a entire day like slaving away to make this like Michelin star meal and then go eat it like Waffle House or something like that. [00:08:23] It's the same, same thing [00:08:25] Charlie: where my dad was a house painter for 30 plus years and he hated coming home [00:08:30] and having to paint at his house. So I totally understand. Yeah. [00:08:33] Josh: Yeah. [00:08:34] Charlie: So, [00:08:34] Josh: yeah. [00:08:34] Dom: Uh, speaking about painting, actually, I don't know why he's speaking about painting. Uh. [00:08:38] Josh: Let's give it some Warhammer stuff. [00:08:40] Dom: Well not Warhammer, I'm talking computer stuff. [00:08:41] Josh: Oh, we were talking about the computer stuff. I was mentioning earlier. You can [00:08:44] Charlie: find us at uh, Instagram Twitter's over at 2 verse 3 and 1 set OG podcast at fm, where you can get this episode and every episode where we talk about what we're playing, what we're looking for, a little bit of gaming news. [00:08:51] Go Dom! [00:08:52] Dom: It is really, Charlie, can I just say something to you? When we first started this podcast, what was it like, 2017? [00:08:57] Charlie: Uh, 2018. 2018? [00:09:00] 2018. year anniversary. [00:09:02] Dom: It was Oh shit, for real? You've just You have come so far in regards to your comfortability with speaking. Cause when we first started, you were really shy Yeah. [00:09:10] Right? Like, I do feel like I'm not saying this in a disparaging way, I don't want you to take this the wrong way But I do feel like I carried a lot of conversations, cause I am a fucking loudmouthed asshole. Right. You You have just Yeah, man, [00:09:20] Charlie: it is, honestly, it has helped you. Nice little comedy. It has helped me because, uh, for my work, which I go back in three weeks, which I'm not looking forward to, um, quit, man, welcome back. [00:09:29] After [00:09:30] I been playing the lottery, so I can, second time [00:09:31] Dom: in my life, second time in my life, I'm telling you to quit . [00:09:33] Charlie: Yeah. Uh, no, but like that has helped me because I have to like, give presentations to like high ranking people and I don't know, it's, it's helped me just, yeah. But a thank you for the compliment because I feel like it has helped me immensely, immensely. [00:09:46] inmeasurably measurably I can't speak for words though, but like, whatever, I can't speak the words with confidence. So, Yeah, [00:09:56] Dom: long story short, your confidence is definitely gone up. I see it. Uh, [00:10:00] you're, you're a sweet man. Uh, my computer has been having some issues. I have had issues. What was that? I think I was saying something specific. [00:10:07] It doesn't really matter. Oh yeah, I was saying, okay, I was saying, I usually have always done an air cooler, because growing up I was terrified of water coolers, but water coolers are like super chill now. So I ordered an Arctic Liquid Freezer 3. No, I didn't even mean to do that. I put the link in the, uh, OG in our discord. [00:10:24] So please go to our discord where we have a lot of fun conversations. Mostly just [00:10:26] Charlie: OG pog, OG dep. Wait, what? I mostly just [00:10:30] me, me talking shit about, uh, there's an invite link in the description. [00:10:35] Dom: Check out the discord link. But yeah, I put, so I got the Arctic liquid freezer. Three. [00:10:40] Charlie: I'm going to click on this and it might change the, the. [00:10:42] This thing. Oh, no, I didn't. Okay. I went to a different [00:10:44] Dom: apparently. Well, not apparently like all of the YouTubers do performance tests. Obviously, they always have that up. And this is one in like every performance test. Which one are you getting? What do you mean? The, the, the 360 size? The 360. Okay. Okay. Yeah. [00:10:58] Uh, but because of [00:11:00] this, I have to get a new case, which I don't mind anyway, because I want, I've been wanting to change case styles. I've had the same Corsair case for ever. Uh, I got the Montech. It's like 150 bucks. It's not, it's nothing. And it's one of the most budget, and it's also a very affordable. The 420 is [00:11:16] Charlie: 130, oh my gosh, yeah. [00:11:17] Dom: Dude, so if you go to like the Corsair one, the 300 bucks of equivalent, it's not even as good. It's like, yeah, so blah blah blah, long story short, I got a new, uh, CPU cooler, cause I've been having like, when I played DayZ, I'll sometimes randomly go to [00:11:30] six frames a second and I have to like, just log out. [00:11:32] Hopefully I'm not fighting anybody or being chased by a zombie. You know what I mean? Like this weekend is PVP weekend. Like every weekend is PVP on the server, the main server I play on. It's not 24 seven PVP, which is actually pretty fun. Um, but I really do enjoy PVP weekend and going to like be an asshole. [00:11:47] And I couldn't play this weekend. I can really play this weekend anyway. I was insanely busy, but, um, yeah, so I got a new cooler because I got a new cooler, I wanted to get a three 60 size, uh, liquid cooler. I didn't want a smaller one, so I had to get, I have to get a new case. [00:12:00] But I don't mind because I got a pretty cool case Montech King 95 Pro or some shit. [00:12:06] It's called [00:12:08] Charlie: Cool case didn't go for that like Swedish wood case. Whatever it is Swedish wood. Have you seen this? It's like it was it was like a it's a reddit thing on build a PC or something like that [00:12:17] Dom: I mean, I'm sure I'm sure yeah, I'm sure I've seen it. But no there the Company is called Montech They actually have new case coming out next year. [00:12:28] Fractal design is [00:12:29] Charlie: what I'm thinking of. [00:12:30] [00:12:30] Dom: Oh yeah. I used to, I used to love that. That's good. I mean, that's a good brand. Uh, but no, I got the Montech King 95. It's actually, I want to, oh, can I do this? Oh my God. Can I do this? It's like the window. You can share a screen, but your [00:12:40] Charlie: computer's going to shut down. [00:12:42] Dom: No, it won't stop. Ah, I got this case. It's a pretty cool case. [00:12:48] Josh: That is pretty cool. [00:12:50] Dom: It is a dual chamber setup. [00:12:52] Charlie: It's a little, a little thick boy. [00:12:55] Dom: Cause everything goes on, everything is on the side. It's like, you [00:13:00] see, we're normally on a PC case, um, Everything would be under it, but like your, your power supply and all that shit goes up here, and then your motherboard and peripherals are here. [00:13:10] Charlie: Oh, interesting. Okay. So it's shorter, not necessarily, uh, taller. I like that. [00:13:17] Dom: You know what I should have done before I ordered that and make sure that it fits? Is I, you know, I have, I have a setup now on my desk. Okay, I can stop sharing this because I need to actually look at the measurements of this thing. [00:13:28] Okay. [00:13:29] Charlie: [00:13:30] Dom's having a realization in real time on the pod. Literally in real [00:13:32] Dom: time, uh, okay, measurements. I, so I have a, I have one of those nice standing desks for work and stuff. And I bought a side accessory, a PC holder. It literally attached to your desk, you put your desktop on [00:13:46] Charlie: it. [00:13:47] Dom: Uh, the width. So [00:13:48] Charlie: it can, so it can go up and down, like it attaches to the underneath. [00:13:51] Oh, oh no. It doesn't [00:13:53] Dom: fit. Is it too big? It's too wide. Oh, no. Oh, no. The width is 15. 75. My, my [00:14:00] desk holder. Oh, no. Oh, what do I do? [00:14:03] Charlie: Uh, how about [00:14:03] Dom: this? Well, it's 11 inches. What do I do? It's [00:14:07] Josh: four inches [00:14:08] Dom: longer. This [00:14:08] Josh: is a problem that I don't think many men would complain about. [00:14:15] Dom: In this instance, yes. Oh, no. I just, I literally am picking this up from Micro Center after this call. [00:14:20] I was going to go to Micro Center and pick it up. [00:14:22] Charlie: Well, you can always say [00:14:22] Josh: no. But I want it. Well, one of two things. You either get a different, uh, [00:14:29] Dom: I'm gonna let it [00:14:30] hang off the side. [00:14:31] Josh: There you go. [00:14:33] Charlie: Or just modify, modify the, modify the holder you got there. [00:14:36] Dom: So, yeah, I had this desk holder. I could honestly buy like some wood and make an insert that just like goes over top of this, hangs off a little bit. [00:14:43] I bet. [00:14:45] Charlie: Okay, I got wood here. So if you need something, let me know. I can print it for you or I can make it for you and then give it to you when you come up here. You just give me the dimensions what you need. I got a bunch of plywood. I got some two by fours. So I just sent, uh, [00:14:57] Josh: It's so [00:15:00] weird. This is my connections unstable. [00:15:01] I don't understand why Uh, [00:15:04] Dom: so long story short, I'm not a very good computer. I might have to upgrade my desk too, in a way. [00:15:09] Charlie: Uh, funny how these things compound, right? [00:15:11] Dom: But yeah, uh, can't wait, can't wait for that to be, but oh, oh, okay. What I actually want, what actually mattered was I wanted to say, cause you mentioned you were going to upgrade, but you're like, why would I, I don't play on this computer. [00:15:21] I wanted to upgrade at the end of the year because in the year AMD has new processors coming out. We have new GPUs coming out. We have all this new stuff coming out. And I was like, oh, I should [00:15:30] upgrade. But then I'm like sitting here like, I don't really, my computer is like more than fine. I'm like still very okay with my computer. [00:15:38] Like it. Yeah. She's a good girl. You know what I mean? She's chugging. You know? Um So I had to [00:15:45] Josh: get a new PC this week. [00:15:47] Charlie: Yeah, this is going to be the episode where we all talk about PC parts. [00:15:50] Dom: That's the, it's the PC episode. PC [00:15:52] Charlie: episode. I, uh. Without [00:15:53] Dom: being PC. I was going to say Charlie, make the episode like Josh is the most PC member. [00:15:58] [00:16:00] Chef Crono goes PC. Chef Crono goes PC. Chef Crono goes PC. [00:16:06] Josh: So, so basically I last Saturday, uh, Dawn trail for Final Fantasy 14, the latest expansion dropped on, I think, July 2nd. And Trondo, my best friend, refuses to play World of Warcraft, but he's like a gross Final Fantasy 14 fan. So Then the guy that, uh, is like my, you know, [00:16:30] partner in crime, like slash raid leader for in wow, he got phone has he 14. [00:16:35] So I'm like, all right, all right, all right. I'll go ahead and break down and I'll buy it. Spot the expansion, renewed my account, installed it. Game shuts my computer down. I reboot it. I reboot it. It takes the CPU from like 3 percent to 99 percent and Square Enix is solution to fix. This was to go [00:17:00] into the graphic settings in the game, but I can't even open the fucking game to get in there to reduce the graphic settings because they don't have a settings feature anywhere other than in game. [00:17:12] So I literally, I don't know. The game shuts down in the loading screen for Dawn Trail. Like I can't even get into the, the care, like I can't even get into the screen to select settings today. And the one time I did get that far, my computer shut down the [00:17:30] second I hit the settings button. So it's like, that's bad. [00:17:32] Yeah. So I, uh, [00:17:36] Charlie: I just decided to have a fan blasting in your, in your case to try to get it to cool down. [00:17:41] Josh: I actually do. That's the thing. Like I, I, like I had to do that because it's been a problem for me where the seat, but I mean, these are parts that like you sent me years ago. So, um, I figured, uh, I'm going to turn this into like my, yeah, yeah. [00:17:57] So I'm going to turn this into my work PC. I sent you actually the specs on the new one [00:18:00] I got, but I got a, uh, I got a 30, 60 graphics card. Yeah. I mean for my, my budget was 1200 and I hit it like, yeah, I hit it on the nose. I mean, I know I probably could, I probably should have waited for prime day, but it was one of those things where like, I'm uh, yeah, maybe, maybe, maybe would have saved myself like a hundred bucks is what it is. [00:18:16] Um, but I'm pretty happy about it. I'm pretty excited. It's all, all the parts are downstairs. So I gotta, I gotta spend today this afternoon building it. If I can pry myself away from all the Warcraft for one afternoon, but, um, I'm pretty excited about it. [00:18:30] Also, that means that I'm going to turn my old gaming machine, I'm going to take it downstairs and turn it into like my retro gaming, get it out back. [00:18:37] Charlie: Um, shoot it. [00:18:39] Josh: Yeah. Yeah. Something like that. Yeah. But, uh, you know, cause I mean, they are half of it is yours. So, uh, you know, I have to, uh, you know, take out the parts that are his. Yeah. [00:18:49] Charlie: Yeah. I haven't had a need to be like that scene [00:18:52] Josh: from, Oh, sorry. [00:18:53] Charlie: No, go ahead. [00:18:55] Josh: Oh, it's like that scene from office space where they take the printer out back, you know, after they get fired from [00:19:00] Initech and they have the gangster music playing while they're beating the shit out of it. [00:19:04] Dom: Yeah. That, that movie still hits. Do you? Oh, it really does. It is. It is. No, man, no, I don't even know. I don't even know what I believe you get [00:19:15] Charlie: your ass kicked for that. I [00:19:17] Dom: believe you're asking for [00:19:18] Charlie: Wait, try that. What'd you say? You don't know what I don't even know what i'm running in this in this in this Computer, I don't even know where to find that stuff. [00:19:23] Oh, okay. No, I found it [00:19:25] Dom: Do you have nzxt cam? That is a great and like I don't have any nzxt products, [00:19:30] but their monitoring software is like nzxt Nzxt is like the computer. They they do pre built computers Computers [00:19:39] Charlie: I mean, I'm just running it to see what am I running here? I have a Ryzen 5 5600 X 64 gigs of RAM. [00:19:46] Beautiful. Um, [00:19:47] Dom: that's 64 gigs of RAM. Jesus Christ. [00:19:51] Charlie: Um, I was doing a bunch of like rendering stuff. Um, or I was doing a bunch of like crypto stuff that needs a lot of RAM. So I just threw it in here because that's what I was doing. [00:20:00] Um, and then I think I'm running like a 6500. GPU or something like that, a six series. [00:20:07] So, um, I, I have no need to upgrade, um, outside of, like, my cooler or maybe a new case, because that's, like, cheap enough to do. But, um, yeah, I mean, I don't Occasionally, I will have the thing where, like, if I'm, if I'm running a game that's, like, super CPU intensive, my whole computer will just turn off. Uh, but, but that's when I just pop the case and just put a fan on it and it's fine. [00:20:28] Um, yeah. [00:20:28] Dom: Yeah, I'm excited [00:20:30] for this to actually like air cooling has always been a fun. It has been like fine It's not as cold as water cooling, but it's comparable and it's always been significantly cheaper But yeah now it's like oh it doesn't it's not that much cheaper and or it's not that much more expensive to go to water cooler, they are a little they are more legit now and they They are significantly better. [00:20:56] So Uh, computers [00:21:00] aside, they do games. Yeah. What do they do? Uh. How do they work? Well, I guess for Josh they don't work. [00:21:07] Josh: Yeah, I was, I'm like really excited to play Final Fantasy XIV too, so it's like. Uh, it's annoying because my, you know, the funny thing is, is my buddy Toronto has a very old PC. Actually his old PC was a hand me down of my PC before the one that I built that Charlie sent me the parts for. [00:21:26] So like it fucking blows my mind that he's able to get [00:21:30] into Final Fantasy 14, but I can't like it actually blows my [00:21:33] Charlie: mind. Why? Why? Probably because you just need new heatsink probably on your stuff and his stuff. Yeah, yeah. It seals really well. [00:21:42] Josh: Yeah. Yeah. I, I think somebody told me that I might need to, uh, like take out the, um, the processing chip and, and redo the thermal paste or something like that. [00:21:51] Yeah. We should be [00:21:51] Dom: doing that every so often anyway. [00:21:53] Josh: Yeah. [00:21:54] Dom: Well, it's like every other year or something. I, [00:21:56] Josh: uh, [00:21:56] Dom: maybe, maybe, maybe I'll do it. I do it less than that. I mean, I, [00:22:00] well, I clean my computer once a month, just like with a duster, like I take it apart and clean. You should once a month and then every three months I'll reapply thermal paste. [00:22:07] Every three months. Yeah. Interesting. Well, this hopefully this will like air cooler. It's more demanding because it is not it's it's air. It's so I'm home with a liquid cooler. I don't have to do as much, but I don't really, I've never had a liquid cooler. So [00:22:24] Josh: I also don't think that this one has the same level of, like, I bought an extra cool air [00:22:30] cooler for my, for my Uh, for the new build. [00:22:32] So I'm assuming that there it's it. And also like I've always been upset about the fact that when I built the first one, I kind of had like a, I went to Best Buy to buy, buy a bunch of parts and I didn't really plan it out properly. And I got like a 700 watt power supply and I always wanted the eight 50 cause I know that when you're running a more intensive graphical build, you're supposed to have the higher wattage on that. [00:22:56] So [00:22:57] Charlie: you get a [00:22:57] Josh: gold, I might be wrong, but. [00:23:00] But yeah, I'm pretty excited with this new build and a [00:23:03] Charlie: gold PSU will also help because it's more efficient It's not pulling as much power. [00:23:07] Dom: Definitely. Gotcha. I don't know why they make anything less than gold. Seriously I don't know like what the point like budget wise like you're it's it's not [00:23:14] Josh: yeah, but yeah, I'm pretty I'm, i'm looking forward to getting some games that actually use the graphics cards instead of playing wow classic Which is a 20 year old game and doesn't really use them. [00:23:24] So i'm sure i'm [00:23:26] Charlie: sure [00:23:29] Josh: Well, yeah, but but [00:23:30] the but the Final Fantasy 14 engine is way more graphically intense than Wow's is But I will I will admit that you know in while they have something called weak auras, which is like you can actually add Custom lines of Lua code like in to your in game Things so yeah like weak auras are a fucking massive thing in World of Warcraft where like you can you can like like my guy that he Actually like hey like creates custom weak auras and like as he's a web developer But You know, so like we had, like, he actually made a few for me [00:24:00] specifically. [00:24:00] So that like certain things that I do that are bonehead. Like, uh, if I forget to have a buff on somebody, like it has like a huge icon in the middle of my screen that says like buff the tank or like the big one is like we have this automated thing where we have like a spreadsheet and all I have to do is plug in the user's names. [00:24:16] And we copy paste these lines of codes into a thing called method raid tools. And I pumped them out to the raid. And it actually like in game, like let's say we're doing, uh, Omnitron, which is one of my fucking, I hate this boss so much, but like, you know, the, every [00:24:30] Boston cataclysm has like multiple raid wide mechanics that are just pumping out damage and these, uh, The one of the week or as we run will automatically tell you if you're up to pop your like defensive cool down and so like the raid leader doesn't have to call out everything individually to like the healers to say like, Hey, Tommy hit power word barrier or hey, Vash, like hit, um, rallying cry or something like that. [00:24:55] It'll just in game. It'll be like, Hey. Rally and cry in three, two, one. [00:25:00] And like, you know, so it's, but it's all like custom shit that, that has been created. And when you have like a shitload of week auras, it does bog your game down because it comes very resource heavy. But, um, even though it is a 20 year old game as part of like, why they like people have absolutely beaten the game until the game [00:25:17] Dom: that still gets updated. [00:25:18] Like, it's not like, it's just like a 20 year old game. Like, like even days, daisies, like not as old, it's old, but like it, Is it uses a lot, right? Like it's a video is reading it. Cat is pretty much your plan. Like old school [00:25:30] runescape. Maybe that is pretty cool [00:25:31] Josh: looking man. Like, I'm not gonna lie. Like a lot of the fight, like his wrath was, you know, from 2006. [00:25:36] I think this one was like, uh, 2008, 2009. But like, you can tell there was a big step up in terms of, you know, the. Like the it's just everything that's going on like one of the fights sinestra. He's the final boss in this in this raid tier He's like actually in a pool of lava. He's like a dragon that's halfway submerged in a giant pool of lava Fight is cool as shit looking. [00:25:58] The other one I think is really [00:26:00] cool is uh throwing the four winds There's one fight called the conclave and uh, there's like three bosses at the end Three different platforms and there's like this huge wind thing you have to like jump over. It's just, it's just way different. Like in, in wrath, there's just nothing like that wrath wrath and the other ones are very primitive, but this is where you can tell they actually like started implementing way more. [00:26:22] Uh, yeah, I don't know. It's cool. But anyways, other than that, uh, you know, I actually, I picked up a mobile game, [00:26:30] but I think it's definitely not new, but I started playing the, cause you, you guys linked something about teenage mutant ninja turtles. And, uh, I went and got the, um, it's called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Legends, but it's basically like Marvel Strike Force meets. [00:26:45] Yeah. There's not that many turtles. No, it's all random shit. It's not just the turtle. I know. Like, it's so it's like foot clan member. Yes. Yeah. It's weird shit, dude. Like I don't even know who half these people are, but like, nonetheless, like I'm kind of just tooling around with [00:27:00] it very, very casually. [00:27:01] Cause, uh, I, Do you really like the concept of, you know, the 5v5 thing? I saw an ad for Marvel Strike Force the other day, and it was like, over 250 heroes, select whichever one you want. And I'm like, ah, [00:27:13] Dom: whichever [00:27:14] Josh: one. Yeah, right, dude. Wait, they might have changed. [00:27:17] Dom: Nice ad, [00:27:17] Josh: but [00:27:17] Dom: no. No way. It's still, it's still gotta be like hyper team combo base. [00:27:22] There's no, just [00:27:23] Josh: think about that. Like, just think about that for a second. Like we were huge into Marvel strike force for a while. And a lot of the, and I'm sure the, the [00:27:30] listeners that we do have left are all, we're all from that as well. And, uh, yes. It just think about that for a second. Like when we were playing, I think there were like 120 or like around 100 and 110 to 120. [00:27:44] I remember that it was around that. Yeah, it definitely. But just think about that in the grand scope of things. If it costs somebody like six to 700 to like seven star, each one of those champions and you know, there's whales that are still playing that game and playing this whole time, there's so much [00:28:00] money. [00:28:00] Yes. So much money. I, I can't even fathom. Spending all that on a game like Marvel Strikers, but they're truly I mean it it it is a fun I was looking at it and it was making me reminisce about just some signing ways I I really I really do [00:28:16] Dom: kind of like listen the game is kind of dead to us and that's fine Like you can move on from things. [00:28:20] That's totally part of life, but you could also like Acknowledge that we had fun times when we played that game Yeah, remember when the Black Order [00:28:27] Josh: team came out and we were all like just pumped about it Yeah, [00:28:30] yeah, [00:28:30] Charlie: yeah I enjoyed my time with it until I didn't, and then I [00:28:33] Dom: stopped. Yeah, exactly. I enjoyed it until I didn't. [00:28:35] Yeah. You know. [00:28:36] Josh: McDanis would raise the gauntlet and just start [00:28:38] Dom: whooping shit. I still, I don't have many things that I can sit here and say that, uh, like, oh, I did the thing. You know, I, I coined, remember Skilletary? I remember, I remember that. You did coin Skilletary. Yeah. I coined a term in the game. I'll take that. [00:28:50] Josh: You know what I mean? Hey, you crushed White Claws for, for charity, man. Crushed White [00:28:54] Dom: Claws? I found a lot of those GIFs the other day. I don't know why I was searching. Oh, I do, no, it's not that I found GIFs. Uh, [00:29:00] Internally at Twitch, or technically at Amazon ads, every Monday this one woman, she's like a part of, she's like a Twitch, like, bridge within, internally, whatever, long story short, she posts a big newsletter every Monday about, like, what's going on at Twitch, like, for all the Amazon ads people. [00:29:16] Yeah. And, and she asked me one time if I could be featured as like a Amazon ads employee, huge streams and stuff. And I was like, yeah, sure. Like, what do you, she's like, oh, I'm going to do like a little bio and then like link your page and everything. I was like, okay, cool. And then I went to my Twitch and [00:29:30] make sure I scrubbed a lot of clips because that's, was that one of them that you scrubbed? [00:29:36] Oh, John. I went through all that. I didn't scrub it. I left it in there. Yeah. Uh, Uh, it's just crushing a can, right? I didn't, I wasn't saying anything. Well, technically [00:29:43] Josh: you didn't even crush the can. It just went like bonk. I [00:29:46] Dom: ended up crushing [00:29:46] Josh: it. Well, the one you did. I crushed it the same way. You're right. [00:29:48] You're right. You're right. Yeah. Which is why you had a huge. I, [00:29:51] Dom: I, I, I, I did it. Yeah. It didn't crush. And I like. [00:29:54] Josh: Yeah. It was, you had that huge ring in your head for like a month, dude. And [00:29:59] Charlie: then [00:29:59] Josh: the French [00:30:00] just like would [00:30:00] Charlie: come into your channel randomly and just like. Connett. What'd they call [00:30:03] Dom: you? Connett man. [00:30:04] Connett. Yeah. Connett man or something. And I was like, Oh my God. The French. That was so funny. Yeah. [00:30:09] Josh: Yeah. [00:30:09] Dom: There was [00:30:09] Josh: a fun time. That was, that was probably like one of the better things that somebody did with m with MSF was the, uh, that like, was it a 24 hour stream where it was like a variety? Yeah, it was like a charity. [00:30:20] Everybody had like an hour. It was for doctors without border. It was for the Italian, yeah, it was the [00:30:23] Dom: French, specifically the one in Italy. The, the Italy's. Um. Uh, some Italian organization during COVID. No, it's [00:30:29] Charlie: [00:30:30] the Doctors Without Borders. It's whatever the, um, It was, it [00:30:33] Dom: was called MSF. Yeah. MSF or MSF. [00:30:36] Yeah. Yeah. You're right. Yeah. Um, but they were an Italian organization because of how bad Italy was getting ravaged. I remember that. But I remember there was just that, the reason the French thing happens, cause there was that French MSF stream. Mm hmm. I forgot his name. Oh, you were on like right after that or something like that? [00:30:49] I was on right after him and he, he did, he like hosted or rated or whatever from his to mine. And that dude always had like hundreds of people watching. I went from like 10 people watching to [00:31:00] like 500. I was like, okay, it's a [00:31:02] Josh: Christian kiddo. It is a jarring realization that there are that many people with eyes on you. [00:31:07] Like, cause you go from feeling comfortable with your small group of people. And then it's like, Oh shit, I gotta like, you know, put it on a show, you know, I got to keep people entertained. So I'm going to crush that on my head. That [00:31:19] Dom: man. Oh my God. I've had a few of those where like [00:31:22] Charlie: Upshaw will have like 1500 people watching, they'll like just randomly get rated and like, Oh, okay, hi. [00:31:27] Hi everyone. [00:31:28] Josh: You're just sitting there chilling, playing [00:31:30] your game, like, doo [00:31:31] Dom: doo doo. My silly stream. Yeah. Uh, MSF. I, you know, I, it's, it's, it's, it's so unfortunate because I enjoyed, I can't deny also that I did enjoy playing MSF. I just wish it wasn't so demanding. Wish it wasn't so predatory. It did get bad. [00:31:48] Yeah. It got bad. Well, the reason, here's the thing. It is predatory because of how demanding it is. Truly. Yeah. Cause it's not supposed to [00:31:56] Josh: be that kind of game. Like it's supposed to be like, like mobile games are [00:32:00] supposed to be casual, but that game was demanding with the wars and the blitz and you had to do the blitz in order to keep up with metas. [00:32:07] And I mean, it was, [00:32:09] Dom: even if you were French, I thought it was, I thought it was, [00:32:11] Josh: even if you were like, Yeah. Yeah. Even if you were wailing out, you still had to blitz because you need, cause they were stuff that they put in there that you can get elsewhere. So yeah. Manually. Right. The [00:32:23] Dom: MSF streamer. Who started that was was from italy. [00:32:28] That's what it was. That's what I [00:32:30] remember. I don't remember what his name was. Um, That just made me think about the fact that people [00:32:36] Josh: would be asking like how we'd be getting our scores and charlie And I were 100 fucking percent using the the msf bot. I don't even give a shit but like I got that thing and I was like, this is worth its weight in gold [00:32:48] Charlie: There's a long time where I wasn't and I was trying to manually do it and there was like I was still working on the tv Show that was on and like all the crew first gave me shit for like two hours Do a quick blitz, put my phone in my pocket, and they're like, what are you, what are you [00:33:00] doing? [00:33:00] I'm like, I'm sorry, dude. I'm doing [00:33:02] Dom: work. I'm [00:33:02] Charlie: working here. What do you want from me? Side hustle. Hey man, this is my [00:33:05] Josh: side job, dude. Like I got a business. Okay. Like I got a stream. I got to do stuff for the people. [00:33:10] Charlie: That's when I realized that I should probably, uh, not play this game. [00:33:16] Josh: So I just realized my belt came undone somehow. [00:33:20] Oops. Just laughing [00:33:20] Charlie: too much. There you go. And stuff anyway, yeah, yeah reminiscing. It was Josh. Do you still [00:33:28] Dom: do you still have access to like all [00:33:30] the the The like affiliate stuff. Oh, I [00:33:33] Josh: don't know. That's a good question No, I don't I don't think I do but I did for a very long time for a long time. Yeah. [00:33:40] Charlie: No, I mean all the Like the insider stuff that the MSF, you know, it's [00:33:46] Josh: funny actually, what was the guy's name boy? [00:33:48] Wait, I'm sorry. Oh, it was the Envoy program. Yeah, uh, do you remember the guy that was in charge of that? Um, you still have your shirt. Yeah, I have. [00:33:56] Charlie: I have my shirt. Oh, I still got mine. Yeah, dev team. Yeah, you [00:33:59] Josh: [00:34:00] know, it's funny. I still have the I still have the bottle of Apple cider sparkling apple cider or whatever that gave us that has like the Marvel Strike Force logo etched into it. [00:34:08] I liked it It was for me. It's like one of its I don't keep I mean actually I guess I kind of am a hoarder when it comes to certain things but um You're a sentimental sweet boy, [00:34:16] Dom: you can admit [00:34:16] Josh: it. Yeah, like, that, that was a very iconic item to me, I felt like, at that point in time. But, um, Yeah. Yeah. [00:34:23] Dom: I saw the hoodie too. [00:34:24] I [00:34:24] Josh: don't know why. I don't know why. I don't wear them, but, well, I mean, they're, unfortunately, my dumb ass got like a fucking [00:34:30] small in them shits, because I was still anorexic back then, so now my fat ass can't fit in any of that stuff. But, um, [00:34:35] Dom: I'll probably donate that, actually. You should just put it on eBay. [00:34:38] Right, just tell us how you really feel. I'm sleepy. It's been an exhausting. Yeah, I'm sure there's been exhausting couple weeks [00:34:45] Josh: I'm sure there's somebody out there. That's uh, you know looking for an MSF shirt for their kid with the dev team on the back No, [00:34:50] Charlie: yeah, I'm sure I didn't Maybe the maybe in a couple years now, you know, he'd swim in that thing [00:34:55] Josh: Oh, I hope there's some game that comes along that you reunites us like that where we're [00:35:00] actually all three collectively really into it Cuz like I feel like there's game Yeah, well, no, we have, but like, it's just nothing has really like captured our, I mean, let me play the shit out of space [00:35:12] Dom: brain too. [00:35:12] I'll tell you that. [00:35:13] Josh: Was that the game I sent you the link to on? Oh, that game looks sick. Sick, sick, sick. I will definitely be buying that. And especially on my new PC, like that game, definitely going to be using that graphics card that I saw. I sent Dom a, I saw like this, uh, Instagram video for preview for it.[00:35:30] [00:35:30] And it looked like it reminded me of gears of war for some reason. Right? Like, do you remember Gears of War? It [00:35:36] Charlie: does, it does have that vibe. [00:35:37] Dom: I mean, Gears, it's so funny. I just saw, um, uh, Charlie, do you remember Jose? Uh, my buddy from Jersey, we went to Comic Con with. I just saw him yesterday. I had, it was his 40th birthday, and I went out to say hey. [00:35:50] And, um, we were just talking about Gears. So I was like, how do you guys know each other? Cause like, it's all their Jersey friends, and they're just like one random person from New York. And I was like, well, we used to play Gears of War [00:36:00] together. We had mutual friends, and then we met and became really good buds. [00:36:04] I don't know if I thought about it, but she didn't. I want to play Gears of War again. [00:36:08] Josh: It was a great, dude. I loved like running up. [00:36:10] Dom: New Gears of War coming out. E Day. I don't know if you guys saw that. I mean, this [00:36:13] Josh: game looks like a jacked up version of Gears of War. There's a [00:36:16] Dom: new, there's a new Gears of War game that's, that was announced. [00:36:20] It's called E Day. It is a prequel to the first, it's, it's like 20 years before Gears of War 1. That's when the Locust popped up and it's like, it's, [00:36:30] well, I don't think it was Delta Squad at the time, but it's like, you know, Marcus and them dealing with Emergence Day. It looks sick. [00:36:36] Charlie: Okay. Okay. Interesting. I mean, I really like the lore. [00:36:40] I haven't played. I didn't even play Gears of War 5 I think I stopped when like Marcus. Yeah. Yeah, like stopped being the main protagonist so Yeah, that Space Marine 2 looks super rad I'm very excited for the new Diablo 4 expansion which coming out in October. So we'll see October. I [00:36:59] Dom: thought it was later than [00:37:00] yeah Yeah, new interesting new Um character class, rather. [00:37:05] Yeah. What [00:37:05] Josh: is it? Oh, is it the one that's going to be like the witch doctor kind of thing? It's pretty much, it's like a spirit walker or something. [00:37:10] Dom: Yeah. It's pretty much a witch doctor, which like in some ways is like, oh, I wish you would just do something original. But like, what do you, I mean, how many, how many actual, like, I guess ideas you have a. [00:37:24] Berserker in a way. Yeah, like which is a barb. Yeah, you have a few different sorcerers in a different way You have your they [00:37:30] had a power like that, you know Oh the crusader it would be the it would be no, they didn't actually they're probably gonna act crusader. Yeah I mean, that's one of those [00:37:37] Josh: that's one of those diablo classes that you gotta have in the game. [00:37:40] Yeah [00:37:41] Dom: Yeah, [00:37:42] Josh: it's classic I actually really really really wish they would do [00:37:49] Charlie no, you know, you'd be curious to see them do what no you [00:37:52] Charlie: uh, like a like a like a bard class or something Like that [00:37:56] Dom: A [00:37:56] Charlie: bard. [00:37:57] Dom: Interesting. What would that look like? [00:38:00] There should be a priest there and I get like we've had different ways of that. Like crusader is kind of like overzealous but not really. [00:38:07] Like has some healing priesty stuff. Yeah, the holy priest kind of priesty. Yeah. But there actually should just be like probably a priest class in some way that is like. Yeah. I don't know. But yeah, what were you gonna say, Josh? [00:38:17] Josh: Oh, I was just gonna say that. I really, I, you know what I did? I fired up Diablo one the other day cause I was really bored. [00:38:22] And I find that to be just for me, it's like the, one of the best nostalgia throwbacks ever [00:38:30] because two, two is great, but like there's something about one that has this, uh, One is tough. It's, it's very hard. Like you do try killing the butcher right away. I mean, I know there's, I know there's people that have like obviously cheesed it and there's like easy ways to do it, but I'm not one of those kinds of gamers. [00:38:48] Like, I just kind of like pick a character and rolled up, but try like playing like a, like a mage in there. They just suck. And they're so bad. And it's like you, unless you're going to do like the little do pack thing, but I try to avoid doing that because I feel like it just [00:39:00] ruins the game. Um, but it's, It's fun. [00:39:04] I don't know. Like, I, I kind of wish they would, uh, I kind of wish they would like do with one what they did with, uh, D two remake. Uh, cause I would love to play that again. I mean, granted, like a D a D one room. Yeah. Because I wish I could play it online with my friend. Like, I feel, I wish we could, cause they used to have an online, I mean, it obviously way back in the day, there was like an online component to it, but that's not, you. [00:39:25] There's no server hosting the game, so you can't do it well. Back in the day, it used to [00:39:30] be a land thing that they didn't have. They didn't have the online ability. Oh, yeah, it was like [00:39:33] Charlie: local network. Um, yeah, [00:39:35] Josh: yeah, yeah, yeah. So, um, I mean, I guess there's a way to still do it. Like if you spun up a, uh, like a virtual machine or you had like a, like a virtual server that hosted it and you both synced into it, but I guess it's more, I think you can do, this is a lot more work than I really want to do because [00:39:51] Dom: you know what exists. [00:39:52] I used to use this. I mean, you guys remember that little silly thing I did for a little bit called Game of the Beer with my buddy Chuck? Yeah. Yeah. Where we played old games. Oh, [00:40:00] Parsec. Parsec. With Parsec, you could land. You could land. We [00:40:04] Josh: used Parsec to play, um, uh, Champions and Norath together, which is a [00:40:09] Dom: Also, Steam has a play together functionality. [00:40:12] So if you do have an old game in Steam, you could Interesting. connect into their Steam. I wonder if that works [00:40:17] Josh: with Diablo. [00:40:19] Dom: Oh, no, right, Because it's a battle on that game. Yeah, it's a battle on that game. [00:40:23] Josh: Either way, though, that's a cool idea, because I mean, there's different games that we [00:40:27] Dom: Sorry. [00:40:29] Josh: There's different like old school [00:40:30] games we've been wanting to play together because, you know. [00:40:31] You had to [00:40:32] Dom: take a second there for that one. [00:40:33] Josh: Well, it was, you know. You know what's been weird? My voice has been cracking a lot lately in raids. And it's like everybody's been making fun of me because of it. Are you just hitting puberty? That's what I say. But like today, today it hasn't happened a single fucking time and I'm sitting here like. [00:40:48] I've been talking to you guys for 40 minutes straight, yet like I'll be in a raid where I'll be like, I'll do like a call out in the middle of the raid and my voice will crack and everybody's just like, Oh, he's hitting puberty. Like let the child in here. [00:41:00] Yeah. It is. It's not funny, but it is like, it's not funny. [00:41:04] It pisses me off. But at the same time, like grown man, you got to laugh at it. Right. Cause like, I mean, how, like it's, it's, it is what it is, you know, but, um, I've grown up. It's weird. Like in a weird way. Like I don't need to like come back to a while, but like. I've like, I've reconnected with the fact that like, I like, I'm going to a lot of different people's raids and that I don't usually go to. [00:41:28] And I've been like, kind of like quote unquote [00:41:30] networking because I'm an organizer. So like I, I have like a, um, a name that people are, are like more familiar with. So like when I go to apply to organize raids, yeah, like, cause I'm in this channel with like 18, 000. Yeah. People and it's like, it's called stacks and like, I'm like one of the featured because I pay for a spot, whatever. [00:41:48] So like, you see my name plastered a lot around a lot of places. And so it's like, it's been kind of fun to go to other runs and yeah, I am pay to win. Yes, actually, uh, technically speaking, people pay me to win. [00:42:00] So, um, Hey, whatever. But, uh, I've been like getting back into like the social aspect of like online gaming and, and just, uh, you know, the, the whole like community aspect of things that's what I think that's actually what we enjoyed the most about MSF. [00:42:14] We always used to say that is that the community, the community was awesome. And, uh, and, and to this day, we still have, we still have people that we talk to. Actually, the majority of the people that are in our discord all came from MSF. So, um, it's, uh. Yeah, just [00:42:30] community. Some of my longest [00:42:32] Charlie: standing friends are people who I knew from like playing Dark Age Camelot, all the people at KOT and whatnot. [00:42:37] So, yeah, now we all have kids and they're gaming now, it's weird. [00:42:42] Dom: The, uh, wait, what was the clan? Was it KOT? Uh, I don't know if like, is, are those forums and stuff even used anymore? Probably not. Uh, they're still around there. The other day I got an email, happy birthday, or no, last year for my birthday. I got a KOT. [00:42:58] Uh, birthday email, but I was like, [00:43:00] I've never gotten this before once. Why is this happening now? There's no way this is alive still. I think about how much time people [00:43:05] Josh: must have had to have spent on that stuff like doing building forums so that you could go in and like You know make posts to each other and now we just have discord for it We didn't have that back in the day, but it just [00:43:15] Charlie: teamspeak is what we had back in the day. [00:43:16] Yeah Yeah, teamspeak and ventrilo [00:43:19] Josh: and uh, it's just It just truly cracks me up, like how far we've come to where it's like, I have this program that just has hundreds and thousands of channels with [00:43:30] information and data, you know, stored in them. Whereas back in the day, like somebody that, you know, in the days where building a website wasn't as simple as just going to wordpress. [00:43:38] com and firing up something, you know, they had to like actually build these forums to like go in there. It's just crazy to me that people spend so much time to. Produce that for us and we didn't really like think about it at the time. Yeah. 'cause we're young and you know, you don't really, you know, time is not as much of a, um, importance as it is when you get older. [00:43:57] But, um, it's just, I love video [00:44:00] games, man. I, I, I feel like, you know, I, I've been like, I've back in the dating game and women ask me like, what I do and I'm like, I'm a gamer. And they're like, oh, of course you are. And it's like, I, I don't think you understand. Like, I've been doing this since I was. Like I let 10 to 11 years old with Starcraft, you know what I mean? [00:44:15] So like it's just one of those things where I think like Once you've really sank your teeth into the fact that you can have friends online like look you guys Like I I one day we're finally gonna get to hang out and i've like always wanted to hang out with you guys And you know, i've never met you guys and it's so funny to [00:44:30] me or it's it's it's like My parents boring [00:44:32] Charlie: in person. [00:44:33] Josh: You're sweet. You're whatever My parents are always think it's weird that I that I meet up every sunday or every other sunday with two guys That i've never met before but it's just like Interesting to see how that dynamic plays out with like meeting people on a game and building friendships with them and That being like a foreign concept to the older people, you know [00:44:52] Charlie: Yeah, but now they just get together on their Facebook groups and doing all that fun stuff and I guess the same thing I know my dad actually told me that like is the same [00:45:00] stands He now understand now understands like why I would like get together with people so because he's doing he has like his own Uh, he was looking into getting, like, doing, like, some sort of side hustle, and I was like, told him that he should do the YouTube thing, because he's doing, like, firewood and whatnot. [00:45:14] That's his, like, pseudo, pseudo retirement. Yeah, he, like, cuts and does firewood, and sells firewood, and makes firewood stuff. Oh, okay, got it, got it, got it. Because he need, he can't paint anymore, and can't do pressure washing. He's not, he's not physically able to do it, even though firewood cutting is something. [00:45:28] Yeah, that sounds way more [00:45:30] physical. Yeah, [00:45:30] Josh: that sounds like firewood. Firewood sounds way more, yeah. Well, [00:45:34] Charlie: actually, he's got machines that, like, literally will just pick up the logs and put them in there and splice them. Sure, sure, sure. Long story short. It's funny, [00:45:39] Dom: like, he can't paint anymore, but he, he cuts and sells firewood. [00:45:42] Um, [00:45:42] Charlie: yeah. That's funny. But anyway, he's, um, he was saying, like, he's joined, like, a bunch of YouTube communities now. I told him to do that because he's looking to do something. Um, and he's, like, built his own, um, YouTube community, which is crazy to think, um, but he's now understanding because he's meeting all the people he's like, no I understand like what you're why you would like do this thing [00:46:00] Like I didn't understand it before but now I get it. [00:46:01] I'm like, yeah, you want now it affects you So now you understand it. Haha. I see how it goes Anyway, do you uh, what games do you play right now Charlie? Uh, I'm playing a bunch of the new ones that just came out. Uh, I'm playing Yeah, I [00:46:15] Josh: saw you on Honkai, StarRail, and some other mobile game that I saw on StarRail [00:46:20] Charlie: since it came out, so I've slowly been playing, changing that. [00:46:23] But there's a new, no, they had a new one come out, it's called Xenla's Zone Zero. Or Xenla's Zero [00:46:29] Dom: Zone. Say that, say [00:46:30] that, say that three times. Xenla's Zone Zero. Xenla's Zone Zero. [00:46:32] Josh: Xenla's [00:46:34] Charlie: Zone Zero. Yeah, um Which is kind of, I mean, I [00:46:39] Josh: saw it on the, I saw it on the store when I was going through and looking for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game. [00:46:44] I saw that one at like the top of the list. [00:46:46] Charlie: It's a, I mean, it's fun. I enjoy it. I don't like, um, I'm not somebody who enjoys like the Genshin impact, like action type game. I, I'm very much more like I would rather do. Um, I either, either A, [00:47:00] have like an auto path kind of deal, like I, like I was joining Black Desert online. [00:47:03] Like BDO. Like, yeah. Yeah. Or, uh, doing something of like, you know, Honkai, which is kind of like a RPG. I can set it up and hit auto and let it go and do its thing. Cause I, I can't really sit there and let it go. I have to, like, I've got too many distractions going on these days, so. I can't really, like, sit and play. [00:47:20] Um, I mean, sometimes I do, when Reese goes down for a nap, I can, I can play, or my wife's taking care of him. Um, but I've been playing that a little bit. Um, I'm just slowly getting my way through. Like, I've only [00:47:30] finished, like, the prologue, and maybe a little bit of chapter one. Um, haven't done much of it whatsoever. [00:47:34] But, um, the one game that I actually started to play a little bit, that I'm kind of enjoying as a new player, Looter Shooter, called for the first Descendant, um, Oh yeah, that game. Oh yeah, that's Destiny [00:47:45] Josh: 2, gotcha. [00:47:48] Charlie: Essentially. Um, it's not gotcha per se, it's just, it's, it's, They have loot crates, don't they? [00:47:55] Uh, no, I don't think they have loot crates per, I don't think they have loot crates. There, you, there's just [00:48:00] the, the, you have to really grind to get the things if you want to do it free to play. Like everything, you can get, you can literally get everything free to play. You just have to, the drop rates are abysmal. [00:48:10] That's like some of the stuff to get some of the characters is like a, 2 percent or 6 percent drop rate, um, that you have to do multiple times over. Like you have to, it's like a 6 percent drop rate to get the first thing. And that the first thing that thing has a 6 percent drop break to get the thing. [00:48:22] So it's like really a 3 percent sucks, but, um, and for a looter shooter, cause I was just kind of looking for something. New to try. [00:48:30] Um, that's been great. I've, I've quite enjoyed it. So maybe in your new computer, Josh, you can give it a go. See what it looks like. [00:48:35] Josh: There you go. You [00:48:36] Charlie: should try it too. [00:48:37] Josh: I've definitely been, it's, [00:48:40] Charlie: it's been [00:48:41] Josh: suggested to me by a handful of people. [00:48:43] So it's free. It's on the list. [00:48:46] Charlie: It's free to play. Um, I see where they get, they get their money from like, if you don't want to, it's literally like the way they make their, Um, the monetization thing is like, um, it's just time. Like you pay to unlock things [00:49:00] faster. That's pretty much it is. You can get everything free to play, but like, if you want cosmetics, you want, you want characters, um, you can do everything. [00:49:07] I, the only thing I would say is, uh, don't choose the ice chick. If you make a new character, you get three, a choice of three characters when you first start off. Um, don't choose the ice chick, she's not good. But. [00:49:18] Josh: Oh, is it like, uh, Pokemon where there's fire, ice, and noxious? [00:49:22] Charlie: No, it's just like, there's like a, a, a, a, there's a DPS support and, um, and like a different support class. [00:49:29] [00:49:30] But the guy with the shield Ajax is the best in my opinion. But anyway. But no, I mean, it's, it's, the game looks great. Um, And they've, the, the, the parent company, I think is Nexion, I think is what they're called. They have actually been implementing a bunch of different things, a bunch of changes based off of their, the feedback of the community, which has been surprisingly good. [00:49:51] I haven't actually seen someone do that, because the game's only been out for less than two weeks. I think Tuesday has been two weeks. Um, yeah. I, I haven't played on my [00:50:00] PC yet, but I've been playing on my PlayStation, and it's, the game's been quite fun. I'm, like, I, I think I'm like, I got one character to, like, max level, and now I'm working on a second character, and I haven't made, I haven't made it to, this is like a normal, and then there's a hard set of missions that you can do. [00:50:16] I haven't made it to the hard missions yet, I've just been playing slowly on my own time. But it's been, um, been good. And I've also, I know you haven't tried it yet, Josh, but I've been back playing lots of, uh, fallout 76, so I'm almost done [00:50:30] with this. Yeah, I know, uh, content. So [00:50:32] Josh: I'm, I'm a piece, I'm almost level 300. [00:50:33] I really wish, I really wish I could play it on. Well, you're not a piece of [00:50:37] Dom: shit. [00:50:37] Josh: No, I, I, well, no, I am because I mean, I, I have, I have Oh, a piece of shit. I have seven level 6 85 characters on cataclysm right now. So like, I have problems. Like I just, maybe you are a piece of shit. Yeah, I am. A piece of shit. [00:50:47] But, um, you know, I, I, He got me hooked on Fallout, and [00:50:49] Charlie: then he's like, Why? I'm gonna go do something else. Just left me by myself. [00:50:54] Josh: It's a problem, you know, there's there's like a like memes out there about somebody that like Here's your friend [00:51:00] that's trying to convince you about the greatest And you know the greatest game is coming out and spend 60 on it and then two weeks later starts playing something else That's like totally me. [00:51:07] I I have that problem really badly. [00:51:10] Dom: Do you? Do you have any A DHD Medica medication ? [00:51:15] Josh: No, but I definitely have a DHD, which is weird that I like Wow. So much because it's the same thing over and over again, and somehow it, it captures my attention stitch. [00:51:24] Dom: That's the thing about, that's the thing that's crazy about a DD in general is like routine. [00:51:26] If you have something, it's Exactly, and routines are very [00:51:30] helpful if you have something that can actually grabs your attention. Mm. You like it really grabbed your like Yeah, like I never would've thought I'd been okay at like painting fucking anything and, but then I'll sit here for like five hours, like. [00:51:41] Like what just happened to a five hours just like this like [00:51:44] Josh: Yeah, I I mean that you have a lot of pride. You have a lot of pride in what you're doing with your with your army So that's something I guess I guess too. [00:51:51] Dom: Yeah [00:51:52] Josh: Yeah That's, I think, I find that your hobby is probably what I would deem a lot more healthy than what it is [00:52:00] that I'm doing, but at the same time, uh, yeah, maybe, maybe, [00:52:03] Dom: but a lot of money. [00:52:05] Yeah. [00:52:06] Josh: Well, you know, it's, uh, six and a half dozen. It is. It is. Yeah. Uh, I keep saying it every expansion, but apparently they apparently some mr Pandaria is the next one and apparently they completely do away with the concept of Uh gdkp, which is what i'm really into. So What is gd what is it? It's gold bidding. [00:52:27] So all the items are basically auctioned off [00:52:30] For gold and at the end like everybody basically I I hold the pot and like at the end like there's like A 1. 2 million gold pot, you know, so I have like 1. 2 million gold on me, which is a fuckload of gold and wow, and, um, I technically it's like 1, 200 worth of gold and, uh, and then it like it's divvied back out to everybody in, in percentages, you know, and so like I have to keep track all the loot, the money who's getting paid, what, like the tanks get paid more than the healers, the healers get a bonus DPS, like did this person [00:53:00] fuck up, I need to like reduce their cut by like a thousand. [00:53:02] So like, I'm very lit. But that's what I've been doing for the last three or four years, and I detest the concept of loot council, like somebody, you know, being like, Oh, we're going to give this item to this person because they parse better than the other person. And this person's like, you know, attends all the raids. [00:53:19] So I'm going to give them this item. Best in slot item and then they fucking disappear off the face there. I just hate the whole concept and they're basically doing away with the ability to Um do the gold auctions [00:53:30] so like yeah, I think I think this actually might be the last expansion for me like for real So we'll see I mean, we'll see. [00:53:37] We'll see. This is just what I'm being told, but I can't, I can't go back to the other. [00:53:42] Charlie: How, how, someone go back through the different episodes that we've had and see how many specific episodes that I can't, that we, uh, have done with interventions with Josh about this sort of thing. So there [00:53:54] Dom: are worse, there are worse things. [00:53:56] There are worse things there. That's all I got. I can't actually [00:54:00] finish sentence. There are worse things. There are worse things. There are [00:54:02] Charlie: worse things to be addicted to. Or just do in general. [00:54:06] Josh: Yeah, in general. I could be addicted to crack. [00:54:09] Charlie: I was going to say meth, but [00:54:11] Josh: Both are not good. Or meth. You know, one or the other. [00:54:14] Both, um. Or both at the same time. Terrible for us. Or both at the same time. Really, really get going hard in the paint. Yeah. That's, uh, that's not so great. You get literally an hour of that. Someone in the comments [00:54:24] Charlie: was just in the, during our, uh, our live stream at Twitch. tv slash OG Podcast, uh, was saying they [00:54:30] recently have been liking X Defiant, more enjoying that one. [00:54:31] I gave X Defiant a go. Uh, I just am not a fan of the Overwatch style, um, gameplay. But it's kind of like. I think Ubisoft's, um, Overwatch game it's their it's their it's their are you gonna try marvel [00:54:46] Josh: rivals though. [00:54:47] Charlie: I will try marvel rivals um, it's just something where In x defiant like it's it has like call of duty mechanics where like you could literally get one shot. [00:54:58] Um And i'm just not a [00:55:00] fan of that like yeah, I don't know. It's just I mean, I will give marvel, right? When does that go live by the way [00:55:06] Josh: think next first quarter 2025? [00:55:10] Charlie: But isn't there like a beta coming out or something like that? [00:55:12] Josh: Might be the end of this year. I saw somebody do on a video doing this great tech which obviously they had to fix it but somebody took dr. [00:55:19] Strange and there is an ability that he has where he can create a portal and Like a start point in an end point. And so somebody went and created a portal over the internet [00:55:30] the map. So, and then walked to the entrance of where the enemy team was walking out from and put the other side of the portal in there. [00:55:36] So when the team walked out of their starting point, they immediately dropped off the map to their death. And I was like, Oh my God. Like that is, that's, that's kind of like genius tech, but like, fuck man. Like they, they definitely fixed it to where you can't do it anymore. Cause I mean, it was just like, They were just like instant winning games by doing it. [00:55:55] So yeah, yeah. It's like you couldn't, you could not leave the starting point [00:56:00] without just instantly falling to your death like that. You can't have that at a game. So, but it was just, I love, I love the creativity people have in, in like, you know, reading a mechanic that the game is presenting to you and thinking of this like genius way to completely fix it. [00:56:14] Fuck people over like I think it just it cracks me up, but I can't wait to play that game personally Well, you know, I mean I would hope that human beings treat each other more civilized, but you know, [00:56:28] Charlie: yeah, I will give it a go Um, i'm [00:56:30] not um, like I said, i'm not a huge fan of the mar of the overwatch Style games, but I like marvel. [00:56:35] So I will give it a go. Yeah And see what happens. Oh man, I can't [00:56:38] Josh: wait to just go Hulk smash some people. Like just go rage, uh, yeah, [00:56:43] Charlie: or, [00:56:43] Josh: you know, [00:56:45] Charlie: fly around this door and just [00:56:46] Josh: drop hammers on bitches. [00:56:48] Charlie: Yeah, from what I've seen from people, they say it looks fun. Um, I'm just, you know, I'm curious to see what that's going to play. [00:56:55] I mean, it's going to be free to play too, so it's not like I can't not play it, so. [00:56:58] Josh: Yeah, it's gonna be like [00:57:00] Lee probably where they'll have like skins and things like that as the It's like the monetary way to [00:57:06] Charlie: do [00:57:06] Josh: things. Yeah, but I mean it works. It's a pride. It's a tried and proven Thing that works very well for any game that has moderate IP success [00:57:15] Charlie: For games that are coming out that I'm looking forward to which will be at the end of next month I was on the fence about whether or not I wanted to play it But I think I'm gonna wait until after the game's been out for a little bit to give it a go We'll be Star Wars outlaws [00:57:29] Dom: Oh [00:57:30] yeah. [00:57:30] Charlie: Um, I'm a huge, huge fan of, uh, massive. I'm a massive fan of massive. Um, shut up. You're a massive fan of Massive, but you don't say, um, mainly because you're massive. Uh, they, they, they're the, they're the studio who made the division, division two. And I love the way that they've created the world building thing and if there's any company who's gonna like, really focus on world building themselves, um, it's that company. [00:57:53] So I am curious to see what they're gonna do. That's the, but I'm not gonna prove, is it open [00:57:57] Josh: World one that they had LinkedIn. Is it the [00:58:00] open world game they had linked in chat? The Discord the other day? [00:58:04] Charlie: Yeah, I think Meech may have put in there. Yeah, it's um, it looks super cool. Um, but I am not gonna pre order it. [00:58:13] I'm really Cuz I don't know, I'm gonna wait for reviews and I might wait for it to go on sale because there's gonna be a few other things I need to play first. But it's at the end of next month. I just caught [00:58:23] Dom: myself hard. Cuz I was like, I'm not pre ordering any more fucking games and I pre ordered the super expensive limited edition for Space Marine 2. [00:58:29] Well that's [00:58:30] different. Of course you did. I've been that game. Well it's a Warhammer game, come on now. 13 years waiting for this sequel. You know what I mean? Let's fucking go. Really? It's been that long? Let's fucking go. Yeah. Original Space Marine came out, yeah, like 2011. Is that, is that gonna have a multiplayer? [00:58:46] Oh, yeah, the multiplayer looks fucking sick too. There's like different classes, you can go Chaos, you can go Loyalist, like, there's different, like, Chaos factions. Like, it's, it's pretty, it looks awesome. Yeah. [00:59:00] [00:59:00] Charlie: Yeah, I'm definitely going to go. It's like we're going to meet up to do some Space [00:59:03] Dom: Marine shit. [00:59:04] Charlie: Yeah, the harder thing for me about playing on PC is I have to be here, and the thing about being [00:59:09] Dom: I'm pretty sure it's, uh, it's cross platform. [00:59:11] Charlie: Is it cross platform? If it is, I'll play it on PlayStation. Or cross play? [00:59:15] Dom: Cross play. [00:59:16] Charlie: If it is, I'll just buy it on PS5. Cause that's [00:59:19] Dom: Yeah, cross play between all platforms is confirmed. [00:59:21] Fuck [00:59:21] Charlie: yeah, let's go. Let's fucking go. Alright. PS5 it is. That's dope. Alright, I'll play it. I'll definitely play it then. Because the nice thing about that they just added, I don't know [00:59:30] if we talked about it last time, is they added the ability so that in PlayStation you can join Discord directly from PlayStation now. [00:59:36] You don't have to use your phone. Or something like that. So, it'll be fun. [00:59:39] Dom: Crossplay was confirmed by the creative producer at Focus Entertainment, who was also present during the call. We can confirm that Crossplay will be developed and incorporated into the game. When does that come out? Space [00:59:47] Josh: Marine? [00:59:48] Dom: Dude, September now. It was pushed. They moved it up. To next year, and then they brought it back. Nice. I'm sure they got through a lot of, hopefully that's a not bad sign, [01:00:00] right? Uh, they're not just like, Hey, here's a lot of problems. It'll be fine. You guys will be okay. Well, they [01:00:05] Charlie: did cancel the beta. [01:00:07] Dom: No, they just, they, they canceled the open beta. [01:00:09] They only had a closed beta. Oh. Yeah. They did. So they, they did have a closed beta. Just none of us were, probably. Let's [01:00:18] Charlie: see, Space Marine 2, 69. 99. All right. Um, I'm going to give, I'm going to take, so that is saying available nine, [01:00:30] nine, 24. So pre order, [01:00:32] Dom: nine, four, cause I'm a fucking try hard. I'm [01:00:36] Charlie: literally, I'm doing it right now for you, Dom. [01:00:38] I'm pre ordering it for you. For me? No, for you. Pre order it [01:00:41] Dom: for you. [01:00:42] Charlie: I'm doing it for you. Pre order in pace. September. Expected download date, September 7th. [01:00:48] Dom: Well, if you get, if you, if you get the one version where you get four days in advance. [01:00:53] Charlie: No, I just did the OG one. So [01:00:55] Dom: that's fine. [01:00:56] Josh: Can you get it on? Oh, you can get it on steam [01:00:59] Charlie: probably. [01:00:59] I'm just gonna, [01:01:00] I'm doing it on, I got, got on steam. Well, I have [01:01:03] Josh: $20 on my STEAM account, so, Ooh Ching. [01:01:06] Charlie: Uh, yeah, I can do that. Don't even know where it [01:01:08] Josh: came [01:01:09] Dom: from. [01:01:09] Josh: Doesn't [01:01:09] Dom: matter. Doesn't matter. Doesn't even matter. Doesn't matter. [01:01:12] Charlie: I used my, um, I used use, my brother-in-Law got me like a $40 gift card to steam, so I ended up just using that from the last epoch. [01:01:19] So that's, I actually enjoyed that game a lot too. [01:01:24] Josh: I saw somebody else, another buddy of mine playing it, what exactly is it? [01:01:28] Charlie: It's like a Diablo style, it's an ARPG. [01:01:30] [01:01:31] Josh: Oh, okay, gotcha. [01:01:33] Charlie: It's just, um, you can do a lot. It's like, honestly, it's like the loot filter in Last Epoch is what I wish Diablo would do. [01:01:40] Because it's really well done. You can literally customize it so you get, the only thing that pops up for drops is exactly what you're looking for. So you don't have to, you don't have to pick up stuff. Well, that and [01:01:50] Josh: Path of Exile [01:01:51] Charlie: need that. Yeah, so, we'll see, but anyway. Uh, anything else that you guys are looking forward to? [01:01:56] This summer? That's coming up? Uh, [01:02:00] no. [01:02:00] Josh: Did you say deez nuts? Yes. Dom's, Dom's ready for, uh, ready for some burgers. [01:02:09] Dom: I'm, I'm just, I'm so tired, guys. And I'm preaching in the choir. Uh, I'm just, yeah. My jokes are just that, that's where I'm at with my jokes. These nuts, these nut jokes. Uh, stuff looking out, no, I do have a couple big Warhammer tournaments I'm excited about. [01:02:23] That'll be fun. You always have Warhammer tournaments coming up. Uh, which also [01:02:30] speaking, I boy, gotta eat. I was gonna text you. Uh, I forgot that before y'all switched the date on the crabs, I signed up for a award return. [01:02:42] So I, it's a term I paid for, so I'm, I, I, I'm, I'm missing out on crabs. I'm sorry, is what I'm saying. You son of a bitch. See, I figured if I told you now in this, in this, it's, it's actually less. Wait, do you guys, you guys have, you have like a date to get crabs? No, [01:03:00] we're having a little, I already have crabs. [01:03:03] Charlie: Get together [01:03:04] Dom: next weekend. Uh, Charlie, Charlie, Charlie's doing crab day, uh, Saturday the 20th. How very, which originally it was a different day, originally it was a different day. [01:03:10] Josh: How very Northeastern of you. We moved it for you, Don. And then now, No, you [01:03:15] Charlie: did not. 100 percent in. You moved it for me? We were like, we wanted Dom to come up. [01:03:21] So we moved it. Wow. No, you did not. Dom's a [01:03:24] Josh: scumbag over here, ladies and gentlemen. [01:03:26] Charlie: It's Amanda. Amanda went for it. She's like, we want Dom to come up. [01:03:30] Meet the little one. Amanda's gone. [01:03:31] Josh: Mad. Oh, well now I feel like No mug with the stashy pistachy on it for Ashy. [01:03:38] Charlie: I should have get the three of us on these mugs and give it, and get these, uh, Printed for all of us. [01:03:47] That's funny. Let me see [01:03:47] Dom: if I can get my money back. [01:03:48] Charlie: Oh, don't do it. It's fine. [01:03:50] Dom: No, no. You know, you can't, you can't sit here and say you moved it for me and then expect me to not. Oh my God. I feel terrible now. [01:03:56] Charlie: You can always come up the next day. We'll have leftovers. [01:03:59] Josh: Here, here [01:04:00] on the OG podcast, we're into guilt tripping people. [01:04:05] Dom: Leftovers. That's just the Irish. That's just the Catholic Irish. crab? It's, it's the Catholic. It's the Catholic. Yeah. That's just a hunk. Uh, well normally, well, you can order crab. Like, not, not steamed already and cooked, but like the, the place where it gets from, they cook it and everything and they send it up in a, in a, like a, Like a seafood boil dry ice. [01:04:23] Oh. Oh. Seafood. No, it's like Maryland, Maryland steamed crabs. Listen. Josh. Listen. Fuck with it man. Listen. You guys. It's the best way you can [01:04:30] have crabs. Um. Okay. How, what's the best way you can have crab? [01:04:34] Charlie: You steam them in Old Bay. And a big pot. [01:04:36] Dom: Mm-Hmm. . So you get a big ass steamer. Mm-Hmm. . Okay. Not like, not a boil. [01:04:40] Okay. Okay. Get that boil. No water involved here. Okay. Except for the bottom. Gotcha. You put some beer, you put water, you put beer, you put a half an onion in it. Mm-Hmm. . You put some lemon. Mm-Hmm. . And a And then you put the, the, the rack. Mm-Hmm. . You put all the crabs, well you do a layer crabs. Put a flu ton of old bay layer crabs. [01:04:56] Fuck ton of old bay layer crabs. And then you steam the fuck outta 'em. [01:05:00] Gotcha. And it's just [01:05:01] Charlie: so. Cook her from the inside out, essentially is what you do, yeah. [01:05:04] Dom: Mmm, god damn. Gotcha. Gotcha. You really never had Maryland style steamed crabs? No, I live in Florida. Doesn't matter, it's like a, it's, I guarantee you. [01:05:14] I don't, I don't find. I guarantee you. I don't find crab. I [01:05:17] Josh: don't find crab or lobster or shrimp to be good at all. I find them to be disgusting creatures, so, um, doesn't mean I can't cook it very well. But, You can understand that I have [01:05:30] probably slain like entire lineages of lobsters like I Just have I can't [01:05:35] Dom: you don't [01:05:35] Josh: make seafood now like shellfish. [01:05:37] I don't know When you when you have to when you have to clean as many lobsters and shrimp shits as I did You just I just don't find it. Very I just find it gross to be honest, but [01:05:50] Dom: I mean, yeah I, I'm blown away. [01:05:53] Josh: Yeah. I, I, I find lobster to be absolutely disgusting. I don't understand how lobster is a delicacy at all. [01:05:58] So I mean, it is good. I [01:06:00] mean, it used to be, it [01:06:00] Dom: used, it used to not be, it used to be literally [01:06:03] Josh: with prisoners. I can make amazing, I I did it for in fine dining restaurants, I know how to per I know how to [01:06:10] Dom: Oh, that's what it is. You just never had good lobster. Okay. It makes sense sound. Yeah. [01:06:13] Josh: That's, that's, that's, that's exactly what it's. [01:06:16] I guarantee you, I guarantee you, I guarantee you, like, without a shadow of a doubt that I can create, I can, [01:06:25] Dom: can't believe you never had good seafood ever once. Really Josh? That's very surprising. [01:06:30] [01:06:31] Josh: Are [01:06:31] Dom: you sure? [01:06:31] Josh: Yeah. No, I've never had good sea. I've definitely never cooked good seafood before either. [01:06:36] Dom: Oh, well that's just a given obviously. [01:06:37] Yeah. I definitely don't [01:06:39] Josh: know how to make mussels, clams, shrimp, monkfish, halibut, I don't Snapper, crawdad, I have to cry, uh, [01:06:49] Dom: langoustines, crawdads, all I'm saying, Josh, all I'm saying is I'm sorry, I'm sorry, yeah, yeah, it's okay, [01:06:56] Josh: it's okay, I've definitely never made linguini and clams before, [01:07:00] like a billion times, I've definitely never made that before, [01:07:02] Dom: sounds like you have, I know, [01:07:03] Josh: right? [01:07:04] If you don't like it. Yeah. Olive oil, lemon, garlic, tons of garlic, red pepper flakes. [01:07:12] Dom: Oh, that's what the problem is. You're not cooking them. Oh, that's, okay. Now, dude, why don't you just save them for later? Yeah. [01:07:18] Josh: I just try to eat them raw, right? Yeah. You're just trying to let the lemon cook the fish. I just take a shrimp out of the water and just, with the shell, legs and all, and I'm like, alright. [01:07:28] I just take a lobster [01:07:30] tail, and I don't even cook that bitch, I just rip it off, shell and all, and I'm just, hargh, I just eat it, just bite into it. Just like a big head of lettuce? Hargh. [01:07:38] Dom: Hargh. Hargh. [01:07:41] Josh: That's amazing. I've definitely never made a seafood burrito before. That has never happened. Josh, [01:07:47] Dom: we all know that you're a fucking chef. [01:07:49] Am I? We know that you've made these things. No, I, I'm admitting to you that I've [01:07:52] Josh: never made them before. Shut the fuck [01:07:55] Dom: up. You boss, you Maryland fuckboys. Nice. [01:07:59] Josh: [01:08:00] Chef Boston, I said, I said, yeah, I started with Boston and then I changed it to Maryland. Neither of us. Well, you just said you're doing a Maryland style crab. [01:08:10] Dom: I'm sorry. Wait a second. Wait, wait. Is this another one of those? Like, you don't know where our place is. Like, I know where you guys live. You got, I know. But do you think Maryland and Boston are close? No, I know they're not the same. It's just, y'all are in the North. You're [01:08:23] Josh: in the Northeast. Okay. Y'all are just one group of New England fucks. [01:08:28] You guys are, [01:08:30] what do you mean it's [01:08:30] Dom: not in the Northeast? Maryland is not in the Northeast. It's not in the Northeast. New England is the, is the north, that's where Boston is. That's New England. That's the northeast of the country. [01:08:40] Josh: And Maryland's not [01:08:41] Dom: up there? No. Maryland's on the Mason Dixon line, you fucking dingus. [01:08:46] Maryland is an inch away from being the south. It is the south. What are you talking about? I think it's, I think it's technically above the Mason Dixon. [01:08:52] Josh: No, it's literally, the Mason Dixon line is the top of the This is in the northeast region of the United States. It is north of Virginia. [01:09:00] Okay, this would be the northeast. [01:09:01] Eastern side of the United States. It's [01:09:04] Dom: literally the middle of the fucking [01:09:05] Josh: country. [01:09:06] Dom: It is literal, not in the middle. Okay. Okay. [01:09:07] Josh: Hold on, hold on. Hold, hold on, hold. I'm gonna share my screen. It's on East, east, it's on the east coast in the middle. It's on the [01:09:11] Dom: east coast. Where's the Mason [01:09:12] Josh: Dixon? [01:09:13] Charlie: It's the top of [01:09:14] Josh: Maryland. [01:09:14] Can you see my screen? Do you see where Maryland is in relation to the United States? Do you know how long the Boston, Maryland, east? Look, Tennessee, it's probably Tennessee. It's probably a 10 hour drive. Tennessee would drive be the middle of the country. Okay. It's probably a 10 hour drive. What direction? [01:09:28] I'm [01:09:28] Dom: telling you. It is, [01:09:30] yes, it is below the Mason Dixon line. What [01:09:31] Josh: direction, what, can I, can I ask you a question? What direction is Maryland in relation to Nashville, Tennessee, [01:09:40] Dom: which is in the center of the United States? That is the funniest fucking thing I've ever heard in my life, Josh. If you're going to sit here and say, uh, I'm in the South, what direction is it for me? [01:09:49] Yes, it is Northeastern, Josh. Yes. It is not the Northeastern part of the country. [01:09:54] Josh: This is the North I I literally don't know how much Northeastern you can get, than this It's [01:10:00] actually [01:10:00] Dom: Northeast! New England! What [01:10:01] Josh: the fuck are you talking about? This is literally in the Northeast! What [01:10:05] Dom: are [01:10:06] Josh: you talking about? [01:10:07] There's so much more Northeast! So if Hold on, I wish this Hold on, where There's so much more North and East of Maryland! What are you talking about? If we are looking at this, where, and, and Kentucky and Tennessee, look, Kentucky is technically the middle of the, of the United States. Kentucky is closer to [01:10:24] Dom: Maryland [01:10:24] Josh: than fucking Boston is, what are you talking about? [01:10:26] What are you talking about? I'm dying, I'm dying over here. Look where Boston, look where Boston [01:10:30] is, and then look where Maryland [01:10:32] Dom: is. And you just, ah, okay. All right. All right. Boston. All right. Boston, Massachusetts, the drive. From Baltimore, Maryland. Okay, hold on [01:10:42] Josh: here, wait. [01:10:43] Dom: This drive is eight hours. Is Maryland in the Northeast? [01:10:49] What's in Kentucky? Well, give me a fucking place in Kentucky. In Kentucky. Also eight hours, so kind of equidistant. [01:10:57] Josh: I don't give a shit [01:10:57] Dom: what [01:10:58] Josh: you're saying. [01:10:58] Dom: Maryland [01:10:58] Josh: and Delaware are [01:11:00] considered the South. Right there. They didn't say that! They didn't say that! It said it right there. It said it. The South. On a Wikipedia page that anybody can put go update something to yeah, [01:11:10] Charlie: okay, trust me from there It's definitely [01:11:14] Dom: Okay Dude, that was actually really funny that it even Okay, this reminds me. [01:11:21] Okay. Well, no See There was a, there was this flat earthers that they, there was a test to see if the earth was round. And it [01:11:30] was a hole in a wall, hole in a wall, and then a hole in the middle in a wall. And they were shining a light through it. And if the, if, if the earth was flat, if they had the camera this and they could see the light, right? [01:11:40] If the earth was not flat, the light would be too low. So they, they, they, they had the camera at the holes. It's dark. The light's not on. And they're like, all right, uh, whatever. Turn the light on. And I was like, oh, the light's on and you can't see anything, and they're like, oh, it's so weird, they're like, um, alright, why don't you, why don't you try raising the light a little bit, and of course they raise the light and it comes into the holes, and it's like, [01:12:00] and they're like, ah, it's so strange, cause there's, there's a flat, that's how, that's what that, that, and that's literally exactly what happens. [01:12:06] Let me just Google search real quick where Maryland is, and right there. Dude, it's in the motherfuckin northeastern side of the United States, I can't even. It's on the eastern seaboard. Alright, alright. In the, almost in the middle of the country. Is it, is it more north? Then the exact middle of the country? [01:12:21] Of course. It is not the northeastern part of the country because that is New England. New England is the northeastern part of the country. [01:12:27] Josh: It's, it's on the, it's on the northeastern side of the United States. [01:12:30] Wait, [01:12:30] Dom: wait, where? Sure. You know what? If you were looking, if you were looking at a map and you had to say, Hey, Where would it be? [01:12:37] I guess you could say it is in, it is in the northeastern part of the United States. It is not the northeastern United States though. Do you understand? Does that make sense? No, it doesn't because it is in the northeastern side of the United States. You take some motherfucker from Baltimore City, you put him next to some motherfucker from Boston, you, you might as well be putting someone from fucking, uh, Siberia next to someone from fucking Australia. [01:12:59] You [01:13:00] understand? It is the most, we are looking at two of the most different fucking places probably in this country together. Are you fucking kidding me? Between Boston [01:13:08] Josh: and where? [01:13:08] Dom: Baltimore? And Baltimore. Where [01:13:10] Josh: did Baltimore come out of, into the equation? That's [01:13:12] Dom: from Maryland! We talking about, we're from Baltimore! [01:13:14] What the fuck are you talking about? What are you talking about? I'm, I'm, I'm dying right now. I'm fucking, I can't even believe this. I'm like, I'm like dying. [01:13:21] Josh: Are you just, are you just salty because I'm comparing Boston people to Maryland people? Oh, now I see where the bias is [01:13:30] coming from. No, no, no, no. Now, now I see, now I see where the bias is coming from. [01:13:34] It's okay. It's all right. You're just, you're just upset because I roped you in with Siberians and Norwegians. [01:13:43] Dom: Where, wait, real quick, where did he, where did he mix up those two areas? What was it? Do you remember? South America. I said Spain was in South America, I think. [01:13:56] Thank you so much, everyone, for being [01:14:00] on this ride with us. Stan, you just missed the thing. It's it. Okay. [01:14:02] Josh: Yeah. You just missed it. I will stand, I will stand on business. Maryland is in the Northeastern side of the United States. I will stand on business. I don't care what you say. [01:14:11] Dom: Sure. And Boston. And Florida's, Florida's Mexico. [01:14:14] It basically is. I mean, Florida, Florida might as well be part of South America. Well, that's South America is for wait. Okay. Okay. Okay. Wait, actually let's back up. Do you think that Mexico is in South America? No, it's not. [01:14:29] Josh: I'm not that [01:14:30] stupid. Okay. It just, I call, I call Florida, Spain 2. 0 because it's mainly because Florida, South Florida in general is primarily Spanish and Haitian. [01:14:42] Like Just across the board. And it's [01:14:44] Dom: not Spanish. They may speak Spanish, but they are not from Spain. This is amazing. They speak, they speak a magnitude of different languages down here. This has been one of my most favorite episodes I think we've ever done. Oh my God. And I think you, I think, Josh, I've been having a pretty rough couple of weeks. [01:14:58] I really appreciate it. You guys are [01:15:00] ridiculous. I gotta say, all I gotta say is I appreciate it. Thank you. Thank you for this. I needed this. I really did. I needed this. Why? [01:15:06] Josh: Why? You needed to rage out about something? I needed to laugh. Oh, oh, gotcha. This [01:15:12] Dom: was very funny. I ain't got you. Damn, I'm gonna go have a taco from Spain later. [01:15:17] Josh: Yeah, go, go eat your, your Southern Maryland crab or whatever the fuck you is. It's south of the Mason Dixon line. Okay, are we in the confederacy days? The Mason Dixon line. The only real [01:15:30] thing that determines which is a good job. Nobody has used the Mason Dixon line since the civil fucking war, dude. It is still the only thing that can determine whether you're south or not. [01:15:39] Nobody goes around saying, referencing the Mason Dixon line, unless it's in regards to the civil war. [01:15:45] Dom: I've just found, that's actually not true. Oh my god. It's actually a geographical point. [01:15:49] Josh: Nobody, nobody refers to that shit anymore. Oh, I have never heard anybody referenced the Mason Dixon line unless they were talking about the Civil War. [01:15:58] I mean, you guarantee you [01:16:00] just did. You just did. You are the one that referenced [01:16:02] Dom: it and it was, but, but you know, you said you never heard anyone reference it and you just heard someone reference it. Not part of the Civil War. [01:16:10] Josh: So for the first time in, in probably in my, since maybe like high school, since I've heard somebody referenced the Mason Dixon line. [01:16:17] Dom: Here you go, and it was referenced in a, in a correct and proper way. Oh, a correct and proper way, gotcha, gotcha. Because it is a geographical, geographical point of interest in our country that determines what is north and what is south. Yeah, in the Civil War, maybe. It [01:16:30] does, it, it, it, it, it, it doesn't matter when! [01:16:32] Mason Dixon line. I can't wait for you to google something else that's like, oh, that's the thing.
