Austin Price: Hello everybody. Welcome in for another episode of Bulk of Confidential, brought to you by the great people@knoxvillesmiles.com. Coming up tonight on the show, we have transfers, Jerod, McCoy and Holden Stays. But before we bring them in, we bring in Will Crockett of the volunteer club and Will SEC tournaments. Over. We're turning our attention to the NCAA tournament, which means March Madness, which means a new location for getting together with those volunteer club members. Going to be on the lookout for that location, Will Crockett: So we're going to travel with the balls as far as they go. So regardless of the location, the round, we're going to be there. As soon as we know what we're doing, we will make sure to get that out to all Ball fans. Austin Price: Baseball, big weekend, obviously coming up this weekend, SEC tournaments or SEC plays in full swing, which means a chance to get together for those baseball games, watch the balls, watch Tony Vitello, and that group is playing really good. Baseball, which is a fun time as the weather has already turned, but really started to turn headed to spring. Will Crockett: So we are really fortunate that we have a portrait baseball, so we try to get our members out for that. They're a great time. You're out there a lot with us so people can come and meet you and then just happen to watch a baseball game as well. But additionally, we have a lot of good members that give us tickets to midweek games. If they live out of town, they can't make it, they send us tickets. We want to do our best to get those into Ball Club members hands. So each week in the newsletter we're sending out a link to if you want to try to make it to a game you can't find tits, let us know. We can't guarantee anything, but we will always do our best to make sure that we can help out where we can to Austin Price: The newest Vols headed into spring practice. Emad McCoy. Holden Stay Spring Practice starts today and that means it's football time, basketball time, and baseball time all at the same time, which means it's a great time on Rocky Top. But before we get to Holden Stays and Jeral McCoy, more on Knoxville Smiles, the folks at Knoxville Smiles would like to invite you to visit their website@knoxvillesmiles.com to meet their amazing team and learn about their incredible services they provide in their state-of-the-Art Facility. All right guys, you guys have been here just a couple of months now. What have you enjoyed about your first couple of months here? I think Jermod McCoy: It's a lot more to do from when I was in Oregon State. It is just a bunch more out here I feel like for me to do. And then the facilities, I think it's more accessible. It is like we got a bunch of nutrition stuff, the field open all the time. It is just, I'm always able to do something, get some work in or just go chill. Austin Price: What Holden Staes: About you? Yeah, similar to what JAMA said, there wasn't a lot going on up in South Bend, so just being here, being closer to home from Atlanta, it's been really cool to be able to go home sometimes on the weekend, see my family, work out with my trainer from back home. That's been good. And then Knoxville itself has been great. Like I said, the Southern hospitality has been really good. I like where I stay, just being close to Gay Street downtown Knoxville has been really good vibe so far. I've enjoying it. Austin Price: We go back to when you went in the portal, you visited here first. Yes, sir. And then you took more visits and I think a lot of times when a kid visits somewhere and ends up not committing, everybody goes, well, probably not going to get that kid, but you kind of always had Tennessee at the top. You decided to keep just going and double check, triple check, make sure the more you took those visits, how much did it solidify what you knew leaving that weekend? Holden Staes: Yeah, like you said, leaving the weekend, I felt really confident with Tennessee. I think just the conversations I had with my parents as I entered the portal, I was making other visits, I was really telling them the whole time, I have so many good options. I kind of just wanted to cross my T's dot my i's. So I left Tennessee, I felt really good about it and if my options weren't so good, I probably would've committed on Spot. But I had Washington really wanting to get me and they were in the playoff at the time, so I was like, I got to check them out. And then obviously Georgia and what they offered, I had to check them out. But even after seeing those schools, I still didn't think it was enough compared to what Tennessee had to offer. So after I took those visits, I knew it was a great opportunity to see those schools, but go with Tennessee Austin Price: And then you kind of had other plans. You were going to take more visits and you didn't have anything set up and Coach Martinez kind of called and got you Allall the next day you were on a flight out here. That thing was a whirlwind for you. Jermod McCoy: So I think the day he called me all a sudden to go to TCU the next day and then Coach Martinez called me and I was like, okay, I mean Tennessee over TCU, I'm going to go check them out. Austin Price: And your dad and Coach Martinez had a bunch of different common people, right? Isn't that right? Jermod McCoy: I don't think so, but I mean they had a good conversation in the car. They was just a long conversation, just good stuff they were talking about. Austin Price: What have you learned most about your teammates, your new teammates? Because it's kind of a different world of college football now with just you guys left, let's say a year from now, you guys are still here. You're going to have new teammates that come in from out of the portal. It's just different, right? I mean Brew was come out of the portal for you guys. Hendon was here out of the portal, adjusting to new teammates. What's that? Holden Staes: I think it is been a transition for sure. It's never easy leaving your teammates at your other school. You still talk to those guys, but you want to come to your new school and cultivate new relationships, stuff like that. So I think it's been great so far. I think everybody's embraced the new guys with open arms and just realizing we're all here to help each other get to the ultimate goal, which is get Tennessee National Championship and stuff like that. So I think these weeks right now leading up to spring ball where you're just with your team basically in workouts Monday through Friday, that's the time where you bond and get right with the guys before we start putting the pads on, stuff like that. Austin Price: So Spring Ball starts today. What are you looking forward to most out of these 15 practices? Holden Staes: For me personally, just getting back on the field, it's been over two months since I played because I didn't go through any bowl practices, whatnot. So I'm just excited to put the pass back on and see what it's like playing in a new school, playing against SEC competition. That's all you hear about in terms of when you commit to an SC school, like oh, the competition can be different and I am assuming it will be. So I'm just excited to see how I stack up, get acclimated within the new offense. Obviously the Coach Hippo offense is very different than what I'm used to, so just getting comfortable in that, but also knowing at the same time, I know who I'm as a player and I know I'm going to be successful out in the field. So just coming in with confidence and going out and showing everybody what I can do. Jermod McCoy: Yeah, I feel the same way. I just want to make a name for myself to show everybody I'm here. We all trying to win. Just trying to really just make a name for myself. Austin Price: What is your goal in spring practice? I know want it for you is about getting the pacing of the tempo because Macallan talked about that after the bowl game that you had came to him and said, how long did it take you? And he said, at the end of spring. Yeah. So what are some goals that you have besides that and what are your goals? Jermod McCoy: I got to get, get a bunch of picks. I got to, I feel like when I make plays I just have way more fun just playing a game and it just makes it more fun and then it's just making plays. Holden Staes: I think a big thing for me is just coming in day one and not trying to feel it out, see what it's about, just coming in day one and be like, all right, I'm here for a reason. I was the recruit, I was out of the portal for a reason. So just going out there and showing that and like you said, getting acclimated with the offense the first few days, but after the first few practices are done and I'm like, all right, I figured out the tempo. I know what it is is going out there and playing my game, showing the downfield threat that I am getting after in the run game, stuff like that. And just really putting on film the all round tight end that I can be. Austin Price: Did you come to any Tennessee games in high school? Holden Staes: I did not. No. Austin Price: So you've never seen kneeling live? Holden Staes: I've never seen kneeling live, Austin Price: No. Have you looked at much, you looked at videos trying to get a feel for it? Jermod McCoy: Everybody be telling us about it, how? It's just crazy. So it's something I'm looking forward to for seeing Austin Price: It. Of course, this season's going to be different because you kind of start with a lesser opponent. Not that the atmosphere changes a ton, but it does get more hype for a big game. Right? And then you got neutral site game, another lesser, then you go on the road for two SEC games before you come home for that gauntlet of Florida Bama and those games, it'll be just popping. Right? Yeah. What have you learned about Tennessee? The place, the history of the program, you know what I mean? Have you just sit around, kind, learned things? Jermod McCoy: Something that I've learned is the fans are all in, they're dedicated to Tennessee. It is kind of crazy, the fan base here. It is big, bigger than you would think. Holden Staes: Yeah, I've noticed that even going to some of the basketball games, I think you realize that what Ma was saying, there's no other teams in Knoxville. Tennessee's the show. So all the fans, like he said, are all in and looking forward to Neland Stadium. I know it's going to be crazy. I know it's going to be electric and the hype we have around the team is well deserved, but we got to go out there and put on a show form. Austin Price: I know hype doesn't necessarily hand out permanent numbers till the fall. So what you wear in the spring doesn't necessarily mean that's what you're wear in the fall, but you guys kind of angling to keep the same numbers you had at the previous stop or do you want a new number? Jermod McCoy: I think I'm going to get three. Austin Price: So you want three? Yeah, Holden Staes: I'm playing on earning 13, but yeah, Austin Price: We got So you want the same number? Yes sir. Yeah. Has that always been your number? Did he make the high school? Holden Staes: In high school? I actually wore 44, which is kind of like a defensive and tight end number at our school. A previous player, Truman Jones, who's now with the chiefs, wore that number and then he graduated and passed it on me. So I wore that in high school, but 13 has always been a lucky number for my family. It's just a family number that I've always just been drawn to. Austin Price: What goals do you have just overall, and I don't even mean on the field, what do you hope to accomplish both here in life? What kind of gets you guys going? What gets the engine? Rev? Holden Staes: I would say football aside, I'm interested in broadcasting. So I think a big thing for me, especially being at a huge school like Tennessee that has such a big brand is just networking and getting in front of people and just doing that side of my passion. That's something that I'm interested in outside of football. And then also just my faith, growing my faith more and more. I've gotten close to some guys on the team that are interested in that as well and just talking about Jesus and stuff like that. So continue to grow my relationship and my faith with the Lord is something that I'm passionate about as well. And then on the football side, obviously just coming here and helping Tennessee be the best team we can be. And then personal goals being one of the best tight ends in the conference, translating that in the country and then seeing where the NFL lies in after that. Jermod McCoy: I'd kind of say the same thing, the networking part and keeping God first for sure. And then just as far as networking, I trying to, at the end of all of this, I kind of want to be in real estate. I want to sell big houses and then on the field I'm trying to be all American again. I'm trying to get all SEC, just like just big words. Austin Price: All right. You want to go into broadcasting, you've got the voice for it, but you got to smile more. Yes sir. So serious. We're brought to you by Knoxville Smiles. So what makes you smile? Holden Staes: Scoring touchdowns, hanging out with my family and waking up from a nap. Austin Price: Waking up from a nap. Are you a nap guy? Holden Staes: Big nap guy. Austin Price: Big nap guy. What makes you smile? Jermod McCoy: My family when they come to see me, because they're out in Texas 11 hours away when I see 'em, put a big smile on my face. Just see the film. Austin Price: It's always bigger in Texas, right? Jermod McCoy: Yeah. Austin Price: It's also always bigger at Knoxville Smiles. And here's more from the dentistry that you need to see for your dentistry needs. Dr. Stephen Malone: Hi, I am Dr. Steven Malone. People ask me all the time about digital technology and how it affects dentistry. We'd like to show you what that means here in the office. So dentists used to have technicians that they worked with everything analog. Today we do it all digital also, digital technology helps us with clear aligners so we can straighten your teeth here in the office. If we can help you with your dental needs, look us up@knoxvillesmiles.com. Austin Price: So once you got to campus, what stood out about Knoxville? You know what I mean? You're here on the visit, you go see all these different things, right? And they'll go show you the best parts. Once you got here and you kind of got the walk around and you're a student, what have you found that you like? Where do you go every day? You know what I mean? Yeah. Holden Staes: For me, just being at a way bigger school has been kind of just a different experience, but it's been cool. Notre Dame was like 8,000 students, so coming here, I don't know how many students are at ut, but it's a lot more than that. So just walking to class and seeing how many people are on campus, stuff like that. That's been cool. I would say just a part of campus that I enjoy is just being on the bridge that you see from the ball walk. That's a cool spot just to hang out in between classes, whatnot, just catch a vibe. So yeah, I would say that Jermod McCoy: Honestly I'm not on campus too much. I don't have any in-person, class. All my classes are online, so I'll go to Thornton a little bit, but I don't feel like I've just seen all of campus yet. But I like the Cumberland, the little strip. I feel like I like that. The little plug dance store. They got a little shoe store and clothes and stuff. I've been there a few times. Austin Price: Have any of your teammates taken you to some good place to eat that you really become like, oh, I got to go back there. Jermod McCoy: Not on campus in Tennessee? Austin Price: No. It can be off campus. I'm talking about it can be off. Just Knoxville general. Jermod McCoy: We went to this place called, I think it was called Connors, Austin Price: Down Turkey Creek. Yeah, Jermod McCoy: They had the seafood and steak. That place was, I enjoyed that. It was good. Holden Staes: I haven't found a go-to place yet in Knoxville. So you got any recommendations? Austin Price: Where'd Abe take the tight ends at Holden Staes: Abe's? Oh, I couldn't tell you. It is by the team motel. It was downtown but it was Austin Price: Just Okay. Course y'all have a smaller room so you can dbs there's 30 of you. What have you enjoyed about your new coaches, Abe and then coach. Coach Martinez? Holden Staes: Yeah, I've enjoyed Coach AEs a lot. He was a big piece in me coming to Tennessee. I told this story before, but he was the first coach to come and see me up in South Bend when I enter my name in the portal. So I feel like we started a good relationship off the bat through that and then to visit, just continue to build that. And then since I've been here, I've enjoyed his energy. That was a big part. I just felt like he had good energy as a coach and that's something you want to be around since you're with your coaches every day. And the thing I've noticed from him is just he is a very just soft-spoken demeanor and that's just kind of who he is as a person. But his coaching is very detailed. You know exactly what he wants from you when you step on the field. If you make a mistake, he's not going to yell at you. He's just going to say, Hey, do this to correct it, and he expects the best out of us and that's what you want to coach. So it's been great so far. Jermod McCoy: I think with Martinez, I like how he really tries to make sure we're a good person on and off the field. Every meeting will normally start off with some personal stuff or the standard that we have in a room and just trying to uphold the standard and I think it's just he's, hold on, hold on, hold on. Lemme run that back or I'm going to add on to what I said. Okay, keep adding. Yeah, I think just overall he just wants us to be a good human being and just be the best player on the field. Austin Price: I'm going to assume both of you guys opted in on ncaa. Yeah. I mean who doesn't want to be a part of the, besides Arch Manning, who doesn't want to be a part of the, I Jermod McCoy: Wonder why he did that. Austin Price: I don't know either. What is a fair, what rating would you get where you won't be like, oh that's ridiculous. What's fair? Holden Staes: I feel like I already know they're going to be stingy with the ratings. Unless you're not a top guy, you're going to get disrespected regardless. So I would say a 82, but I feel like that's even shooting too high. So I'll say a 78. If I'm a 78 or above, I'm cool. Jermod McCoy: I feel like with me I got to be like I made some plays. I feel like they should be able to give me a good overall at 80. I think I'm deserving of 80, but I know they're give, they're going to do something crazy and give everybody what they probably aren't or what they don't want to be. But it is what it Austin Price: Is. The first day, of course you guys will get the thing sent to you, but I assume you ought go get it before it comes out. How's that going to work? Holden Staes: I think they just send it to us like you said, but whenever I get it, I'm playing with Tennessee off Rip and throwing the ball to me every time. So yeah, Jermod McCoy: First thing I'm going to do, I'm going to probably boost my ratings, boost my ratings, play with myself. Austin Price: So if you two went against each other in practice, is it a total mismatch just because of the size? Jermod McCoy: No. I mean I held tight ends when they in that nub set I got to hold y'all. Holden Staes: Okay, okay. Jermod McCoy: But look, I'm going to be real though. It's only routes that a tight end going to run out of that. From what I've had to guard is like a out or a dig. Holden Staes: That's good films. That's good. Films set. He's right about Jermod McCoy: That. It's one of the two. Holden Staes: Yeah. Jermod McCoy: So you just anticipate one? Yeah. Holden Staes: Yeah. I would say in a one-on-one setting, it is going to be a mismatch for sure. But if he can scheme it based off the formation, like he said, there's only so many routes of Titans going to run out of a nub set or a bunch set, something like that. Austin Price: Last year's transfer group a one lot, Dante Thornton, those guys all kind of got, they were all kind of close. They came in together. Right. Is that kind how it is for you guys or have you gravitated more towards your position group or somebody else on the team that you've really jabbed with? Jermod McCoy: I think for me it's kind of both. The guys I came in with we're all tight and then I'm tight with all the dbs. I'm cool with the receivers. Quarterbacks, I'm really cool. Austin Price: Practice hasn't started till the today there big guy. That's why you're cool with the receivers. Jermod McCoy: Yeah, I feel like everybody not at spring ball, spring ball's here. We all kind of started talking trash to each other a little bit. So when we had a first practice, well people started making enemies. Austin Price: Who's the best trash talker on this team? Jermod McCoy: I'm not sure yet. I just got into that yet. Ain't really seen it. You got a Austin Price: See too? You've not seen Boo Talk a little trash out there? Holden Staes: Nah, I Austin Price: Haven't. You haven't? Jermod McCoy: I think right now we all, we not really talking trash because we still trying to just learn everything. Sure. And make sure we got it down before we start talking. That's fair. Holden Staes: That's Jermod McCoy: Fair. Austin Price: How much do you look forward to the, these first few days are you're out there in t-shirts and chores, right? Yep. Once you can get the pads on just to get 'em on again. Right. As you said, it's been a few months. Same thing for you. Jermod McCoy: I mean I'm looking forward to it. It is just when you get that feeling, put the pads on, it just feels good. I get to go hit somebody or I get to go make some plays. Holden Staes: Yeah, I'm excited too. I think spring ball sometimes you can kind of take it for granted because you're not playing the game but going out to practice, especially for us, we're a new environment so every time we step on the field it's kind like we got something to prove. We want to show our coaches what we're about, show our teammates what we're about. So I think there's definitely going to be a different aura once we put the pads on Austin Price: LeBron or Jordan. Holden Staes: It's easy for me. LeBron, Jermod McCoy: I'm Jordan. I'm Jordan. Austin Price: We didn't gain on it this week. The totals went up for both. Currently it's Jordan, I think like 10 to seven or something like that. I forget what it is either way. It's our weekly debate here. Holden Staes: What's yours pick? It's Jordan. You're going to say Jordan because Yeah, older. Austin Price: The game different. But you have to understand I've watched both. Holden Staes: So what's your take? Austin Price: My take is LeBron is the better all around player, but when you put the intangibles that LeBron doesn't have cutthroat, undefeated, you started rocking up defensive player of the year. LeBron doesn't have that. Scoring titles, all that stuff. Holden Staes: Scoring titles irrelevant because LeBron is most points of all time. Austin Price: Correct. Jermod McCoy: He'd been playing for such a long time. Austin Price: LeBron's best feet that he stayed injury free minus he's Jermod McCoy: Just trying to play with his son. This just going to keep going up until we play. He's Holden Staes: Not trying to just play with his son. He's still averaging 30 points in year 20. So if he was trying to play with his son and he was averaging six points a game, you could make that argument but he's still a top 10 player in the NBA. Austin Price: My favorite LeBron was when he went back to Cleveland and won. For sure. Holden Staes: Yeah. Austin Price: Going to Miami and Cherry picking a couple of guys and going on one-on-one doesn't do much for me. Just like when Kevin Durant went to the Warriors, sir, he had to go and join up with Holden Staes: Guys. My thing is though, people say LeBron started it when he didn't. The Celtics were a thing before. Austin Price: No, you're right. He went to counteract that, correct? That's correct. Yeah. Holden Staes: And people always want to say Jordan six and oh, but what about all those years where Jordan was getting taken out in the first round? People just seem to forget about that. Think about the teams LeBron went up against with no help. Kevin Durant lost to the Warriors. This is Austin Price: True. Holden Staes: Then he said, all right, I'm going to go play with Steph Clay Thompson and Draymond Green, which was already a 73 and nine team before Kevin Durant joined them. Now LeBron is playing against them without Kyrie Irving. Jordan didn't have to do that. Austin Price: No, Jordan didn't. How many hall of famers did Jordan play with? Holden Staes: Two for Austin Price: Sure. Two. That's right. For certain. Holden Staes: And I'm not saying LeBron lost. LeBron lost some titles. He should have won. That's correct. He shouldn't have lost many in Miami. But I think the ring debate is a little lopsided sometimes because people forget Jordan was getting taken out the first round a lot before he got to finals Austin Price: By against the Boston Celtics with Larry Bird and the Pistons with Jermod McCoy: Back then you couldn't even go to the pain, bro. Holden Staes: Bro. Basketball, I'm not saying basketball back then wasn't good. It was different, but basketball now is better than it was back then. It's different basketball. Austin Price: Three. We got to get you together with Maysack. See Maysack is passionate at the other side. So they have those two guys go back and forth about this. Holden Staes: LeBron's my idol, so I'm passionate about this. I could go with this all day. Austin Price: The thing I respect about LeBron is married with kids. No off the field. Shenanigans And again, longevity for sure. Longevity. But he does want to play with his kid. Holden Staes: That's true. He's Austin Price: Still good, don't he? But he still dominant. No, no, a hundred percent. But I mean the passion is to be King gr senior and King Jr. Right? For sure. You might have to wait a little longer on that. I'm not sure bro's ready yet. Yeah, Holden Staes: We'll see. Austin Price: What have you enjoyed about the basketball team here on keeping up with the basketball theme? Have you guys been to many of the games since you got here? Jermod McCoy: Yeah, I've been to a few I think. Was it number Austin Price: Three, Don Jermod McCoy: Connect? We knew some stuff ain't never seen in person. Holden Staes: Yeah, Jermod McCoy: It's kind of crazy. They just kind of just be throwing it up sometimes and it just fall in. You be like, dang. Austin Price: Is that why you want number three? You want to just help it go from osmosis from the basketball to the football jersey? No, Jermod McCoy: It would be like that though. Austin Price: Did you wear 23 because of Jordan? Jermod McCoy: No, they just gave me that number. Austin Price: That's Holden Staes: A good number to just get. Yeah, Austin Price: It is. But I mean he was over here passionate about it, so that's why I didn't know. What about you? You a big basketball guy? Holden Staes: I'm a huge basketball guy, but yeah, it is been cool to have such a dominant team and I know our baseball team's really good too, so just having the fans excited about a sport every season I think is really cool because our basketball team's probably going to make up a big run. Same thing with baseball and then as soon as baseball season's over, it's going to be time for football. So I think the fans are just going to be excited for every sport year out. Austin Price: What do you guys like to do when football isn't available? Right. Do you have any hobbies? I assume you're gamers, but I mean are you playing any other sports? Do you like to do those things? Holden Staes: Yeah, I like just playing basketball in the free time, so Coach hype, probably not going to like that, Austin Price: But yeah, James Pierce said the same thing, Holden Staes: Playing basketball. I'm a big movie guy so I love just watching movies. Even if I've seen the movie 10 times, I know it's going to be good. I'll watch it again. Austin Price: What's your go-to movie? Holden Staes: Go-to movie is probably American Sniper. I'm legend by Will Smith. Jermod McCoy: What's my go-to movie? Austin Price: No, what's What's your hobby? Jermod McCoy: I be playing the game and I play, I hoop a little bit. I don't be trying to do people too bad on the court. It gets serious when I get on the court. Yeah, like he said, coach hype ain't going to like that, but when I get on the court, I turn into a hooper. I be doing some crazy stuff. Holden Staes: What's your player Jermod McCoy: Comp? My player comp. What would be my build? Holden Staes: Who do you play in the league? Jermod McCoy: I play, no, no, no. I play Rob Dillingham. Holden Staes: Okay. That's a random player comp, but it's Jermod McCoy: Good. I'm just saying I play Rob Dillingham, bro. Austin Price: I wasn't ready for that. What's your player comp? Holden Staes: My player? I would say I'm a mix of both. LeBron, just like my Playmaking ability. If you play on my team, you're going get yours because I'm going to get you involved. But if the game needs to be taken over, I would say I got an Anthony Edwards mentality. I'm just going to get a bucket regardless. Austin Price: Do you wish you played for some sets of Minnesota? Holden Staes: No, I think Minnesota's cool. Not much going on there. Austin Price: They've had a really nice year. It's weird when you look at the standings in the NBA, by the way, it's like all these teams that have kind of been like KC Minnesota are really good and all the teams are the seven, eight seed or legit teams. Right. If you weren't playing football, what sport would it be? Not named a basketball, Jermod McCoy: Baseball. Baseball I was picking, it was really coming to college. I was either going to pick baseball or football. I was probably going, I know my dad, wherever I went to college, he wanted me to play baseball too, but I didn't want to be a dual sport. I just really just wanted to focus on one. Austin Price: What'd you play? What position did you play? Jermod McCoy: I played center field and then I played a little bit of middle infield. Austin Price: Will you get into going into the UT baseball games? Is that something you have interest in doing? Yeah, Jermod McCoy: I probably will once they start getting into the Austin Price: SEC play. Jermod McCoy: Yeah. Yeah. Austin Price: There's murdering people right now. I know. Just throttling them this big home stand. What game on the schedule has got you guys excited? When you look at the schedule? Jermod McCoy: For us or for the Austin Price: Baseball team? No, no for football. Holden Staes: That's easy for me. Georgia, just being from Georgia, going to play in Sanford Stadium, it's going to be pretty cool. I'm probably going to have a ton of family there and then I've never even been to a game in Sanford Stadium, which is kind of crazy, but that game is going to be rocking, so it's going to be the biggest game of the year. Probably Jermod McCoy: I would say just the Georgia Bammer game just because of who they are. Just I feel like those are the games where you really can show people who you are and what you can do. Austin Price: Respect both of those. I like that they didn't say the first one. I mean as a kid it's natural to look and get up for the big game. Right. But a coach would tell you why. I just keep the first one. Holden Staes: I think the Oklahoma game though, it's going to be pretty crazy too. It Austin Price: Is First SEC game on the road. On the road. Hypes return to Norman. Yeah, Holden Staes: Like you said, coach height played there and that's definitely going to be a crazy atmosphere. I think Nico and the quarterback over there are the same year. That's right. That's Austin Price: Going to be like a Jackson Arnold Holden Staes: Head-to-head matchup for them for sure. Austin Price: I'm sure you guys have seen pictures of Neland where they checker kneeling, right? Jermod McCoy: Yeah, Austin Price: Tennessee got that from when they played at Oklahoma in 2014. They stripe it out there. So it's not a checker, it's just once actually Holden Staes: Twice. They want the checker on it since Austin Price: 20 14, 20 15. Yeah. Holden Staes: That's crazy. Austin Price: No, Jermod McCoy: The OU game, me and my friend, he go, Taylor Tatum, you know Taylor? He the running back that's going there. I played baseball with him. We grew up together just playing. But we already been talking about that game, just talking about, I told him I'm going flip him and all that. He talking about he going to truck me, but we going to see Austin Price: How much does the competitiveness come out, especially when it's your buddy. Jermod McCoy: I feel like when it's my buddy, when we both on the field, it's not my buddy no more. We buddies after the game. We talk, take pictures after the game and all that, but when we on the field there ain't really no buddies. Holden Staes: It sucks. Yeah. When you're on the field, if you're not on my team can't rock with you. So after the game, yeah, we can be cool, but Austin Price: When you transfer, what do you do with your old gear? Jermod McCoy: I kept mine. I had some good stuff. I can't lie. I had a bunch of stuff or I gave some to my family and stuff, gave it to people back from my high school. But I kept up most of my stuff. Holden Staes: I gave a bunch of stuff to my brother. He works out all the time so he can just work out with it. And then I just got his store in my room. He won't be touched, but yeah. Austin Price: Do you have jerseys from there in both places? Holden Staes: Yeah. I did frame a few jerseys. Nope, I couldn't get the helmet. They said you can't get it until you graduate. So I didn't graduate, but I did frame a few jerseys just that had meaning behind 'em, so I got those so I was cool. Yeah, Jermod McCoy: Me too. I got a jersey. Got framed. Austin Price: All right, we'll get you out of here on this one. A perfect year individually for both you guys is what? Holden Staes: You got Jermod McCoy: It? I need to have six plus picks. Two of them got to be a pick six and then man, let me see. Yeah, that's really what I need. I got to have that. Holden Staes: I would say for me the goal is 40 catches, 500 plus yards, six touchdowns and want to have 85 or above blocking. Great. Austin Price: And who knows if you do all that you're rating a year from now on ncaa, maybe more in line with what you guys want to get it to. For sure. Well guys, man, we appreciate y'all coming out and enjoy spring practice and I know Tennessee fans are excited to have you guys here and excited to see what you guys got come the fall. Holden Staes: Thank you for having Jermod McCoy: Us. Appreciate it sir. Appreciate you.
