(3s) - One, two. (8s) - One, two. (10s) - All right, everybody. (10s) Welcome back to the second episode of unpaid and underrated. (14s) It's actually the first official episode, (16s) because we're counting last week is a pilot. (18s) So we're gonna call this unpaid and underrated first bud, (21s) first blood part two is a call back to last week's, (24s) has he seen it? (25s) And let's get right into it, guys. (27s) I wanna talk about last week's episode. (30s) It hit live today, and we think it a lot of good feedback from all the crew. (33s) So how's everyone feel about last week's episode? (38s) - I think it went pretty darn good. (41s) The feedback I got mostly was, again, in the beginning, (44s) we're kind of like, we're finding each other. (47s) And then once we found each other, (48s) they said like that second half was, you know, (51s) it was like, I think it was a big Chris, (54s) or somebody said that it was an extension of the MassNomics podcast, which is a-- (1m) like, I was like, "I didn't know that's what I wanted this to be, (1m 2s) but that's what I wanted this to be." (1m 4s) And that to me made-- made me feel really good, actually. (1m 7s) And I don't know if you noticed, like, the new song that, you know, Big Nate worked really hard to get us. (1m 15s) So that would have played-- (1m 17s) if you heard the original unedited version, (1m 19s) you wouldn't have heard that. (1m 20s) But now, if you've listened to it on a streaming platform, (1m 22s) you've heard our new intro song. (1m 26s) -Yeah, shout-outs, Big Nate. (1m 27s) We literally wouldn't be able to do this without him. (1m 30s) He is the backbone of this podcast, as far as all or anything that requires technically a guy. (1m 37s) And we forgot to introduce ourselves. (1m 39s) So, again, briefly, I'm a big Keith and my co-host here is my good pal. (1m 45s) I'm big Joey. (1m 46s) I did forget to introduce myself. I'm very sorry. (1m 49s) Yeah, my bad. (1m 50s) And I'm like, in my job, that's like the first thing you're supposed to do. (1m 53s) And it's always the thing I forget. (1m 55s) It's pretty ridiculous. (1m 56s) Like, I don't matter here. Let's talk about you. (2m) We did get the new website up. (2m 2s) Yeah. Yeah. Unpaid intern podcast.com. (2m 6s) We did change the Instagram to better reflect the name of the podcast. (2m 11s) So, that is now at unpaid dot and dot underrated. (2m 17s) And it's like, just steadily growing Instagram. I'm moderating it. (2m 22s) And I'm kind of jealous at how much faster it's growing than my first one did. (2m 26s) You know, big Tyler Effernstone. (2m 28s) stone. Oh, nice. (2m 30s) So that one today, that's good stuff. (2m 33s) Oh, yeah. Sorry. This is the only podcast. (2m 37s) We have some guests watching. I was unaware. (2m 40s) Oh, nice. Oh, yeah. I have the I have people. (2m 43s) I have the non viewers blocked the non video guys blocks. (2m 47s) I actually missed that one of the hosts joined us in the video there. So that's kind of the hosts that is pretty nifty. (2m 54s) I got a little I got a little notepad of some. (2m 56s) I have a little cheat sheet this week to kind of work through. (2m 58s) That's one of the things that I... (3m) As far as feedback for last week's episode, (3m 2s) I thought everyone did great. (3m 3s) I personally walked away after listening to it, (3m 5s) but I'm like, okay, there's like three things I want to work on. (3m 7s) I want to talk a little bit slower. (3m 9s) There's some inside jokes. (3m 11s) I don't want to let slip kind of towards until the end. (3m 13s) But I think just talking a little more clearer and slower. (3m 16s) And as hosts not talking over each other, (3m 19s) one thing I did find weird listening back is there were a couple of times where I thought I made a joke, (3m 24s) but someone else made it like two seconds before me, (3m 26s) and I just didn't hear them because I was talking. (3m 28s) talking. So I feel that, uh, (3m 30s) going forward, we're probably all going to have a little bit better pacing of not talking over each other. So I think we kind of worked through those kinks in the first episode and we'll see if, uh, you know, (3m 37s) how we, how we improve weekly and you guys can, uh, go to Spotify and Apple and all those places where podcasts are found and, uh, let, let us know if we're improving or if we suck or, you know, (3m 46s) I feel that we're on the road 69 reviews. So we'll see how long it takes us to get there. (3m 49s) That's very good point. Cause my wife actually did point out, she said that, um, that I was talking over you a little bit as well. (3m 56s) And I said, well, I was just trying to make it like, (3m 58s) casual conversation. (4m) But it is a good thing that I'm also watching out for that and like tagging each other in, right? (4m 5s) Like, that feels really, I want to do more of that. (4m 7s) Like, that feels more intuitive. (4m 9s) Uh, so. (4m 11s) I think last week amazing. (4m 14s) That was the pilot episode. (4m 16s) We're at zero, zero one today. (4m 18s) And, uh, let's keep going until this loses value and humor, which can't happen. (4m 27s) My goal was to hit at least 702 episodes. (4m 30s) They're on seven or one. (4m 30s) So every week, my goal will be to one up, uh, the other podcast. (4m 35s) So, you know, we make it to a thousand. (4m 37s) That's great. (4m 38s) One thing. (4m 39s) Yeah. (4m 39s) I mean, we could, we could just split it up and do half episodes, just two, 30 minutes. (4m 44s) That'd be so much more work for Nate. (4m 46s) He would hate us so much. (4m 47s) He'd be like, you sons of guns. (4m 49s) Ain't nobody got time for that. (4m 55s) Jumping right into it. (4m 57s) Bag or bag. (4m 58s) What are you saying? (5m) The fact that Tanner, that bag is even considered to be used for the word bag, it's so baffling, (5m 8s) like it's bag. Yeah, be a bag. There is no, I actually was funny. And then the other discord, (5m 16s) I actually, I just wasn't thinking and I was like, bag is not a word. And then I was like, (5m 20s) wait, well, clearly bag is a word, but not in referencing bags. So bag B-A-G with a A sound, (5m 27s) not an E sound and it's it blows. (5m 30s) My mind that anyone could say it differently. (5m 32s) I just don't get it, but that's crazy about different regions. (5m 35s) I enjoy that I'm driving and I'm listening to the podcast and I've mentioned this in the other discord. I'm just going, bag, do you want to bag with that? Do you want to bag with that? Do you want to do it like it's a bag of chips or is it a bag of chips? And I like I'm doing that. I was like, (5m 51s) you know, you all did that. All of you listening to that. (5m 56s) But yeah, I'm going with that. (6m) know what I say because like as a Canadian I might bag bag bag bag like it might flow. (6m 7s) Sometimes if I've had a couple, a couple of cold brew skis. (6m 11s) I turn into a little bit of an East coaster, which has been commented on by several people in my life and then, you know, who knows what I'm saying at that point. (6m 19s) So, (6m 21s) I've had some, I've had some friends tell me that it's like oh I'm originally from West Virginia but I've lived in upstate New York for the last Jesus 12 years or so. (6m 30s) When I'm drinking my southern dialect really comes out so like there's some podcasts where I sound like I'm just you know literally is still from West Virginia and there's you know like I've been trying to cut back when you know, (6m 42s) if I am drinking I'm only drinking like one or two beers because you don't have an hour long podcast and you drink three or four beers, you know, unless you're cool with peeing in the middle of it in a jar or something. (6m 50s) It's not the, it's not the most you know it's not the most kosher thing to do nowadays so I think we're just going to stick with one can of sparkling water in episode and that brings us to a topic right now so I'm drinking a a wegman's brand mandarin orch you guys aren't familiar with white mens it's a huge grocery chain in the northeast I think it's going all over the place but they've got cheap and very good sparkly mortars and it's probably going to be drinking this for a few weeks in a row honestly. (7m 18s) I have an aha, we went with the peach and honey it is my wife's favorite so she gets that one, not my favorite, but it'll do. (7m 30s) There you go. And aside from what you said I actually do have a little cooler here I will probably enjoy a beer during this podcast. Not a bad idea. (7m 38s) Now, I do want to point out this entire time we've been chatting that Chris has been quiet so big Chris what are you drinking over there. (7m 46s) I am drinking a lemon La Croix, La Croix, whatever you want to say, La Croix, La Croix, La Croix, the most mild of the flavored waters I think I've had and I don't know. (8m 1s) For La Croix being like the butt of the jokes for all the other podcasts like I just like I think the four sucks I think it's the worst sparkling water at them. (8m 11s) I believe it's essence. (8m 14s) Like they drove by the water plant with the ingredients and that's where the flavor comes from gotcha but it's also the most expensive. (8m 23s) Oh yeah, that's a quiet. Tyler said it best when he said it was just delivered in a truck that had lemons next to it. Yeah, that's a good one. (8m 35s) So I do want to talk about July 22. (8m 40s) Absolutely. (8m 41s) A little bit easy. (8m 43s) Massonomics should have been the Jessica but like will will handle that at some other time. (8m 49s) Maybe I'll get a shirt that says welcome to the Jessica and I'll just wear it myself. (8m 53s) Now I'm not actually lifting at that. (8m 56s) As a Canadian, I didn't want to join another federation for one lift. (9m) But I do plan on attending and I do plan on partying with everybody and having fun like we did at the Arnold. How are you guys preparing for that? (9m 10s) I am like 11 weeks out. Basically my coach and I, we talked a couple weeks ago, got our meat prep kind of like what my plan is. (9m 18s) I'm not really looking to hit a big, like I don't have a big total regardless. I'm like, I'm like, you know, on a good day. I'm hitting like mid 1100s on my total, but this meat like I don't, I'm not going to hit. (9m 28s) I don't, I'm not gonna hit him, I doubt him, I need a PR on score. (9m 30s) If you're on the left bench is the only one I'm really, really going to push for because with the amount of travel, we're all going to be going. I think bench is going to be the easiest thing to be recovered from for the meat. (9m 41s) So if I can chip my current bench PR, I'll be ecstatic and just have a blast with my buddies. (9m 46s) I'm so excited. So big Dave posted the roster this morning so I mean it's been out a couple times but now it's under the XPC banner so they're trying to, you know, push everything under the on that Instagram page now so seeing all the post again and just kind of exciting to see. (10m) I know at least have at minimum, I've had conversations, either in DMs or in person, (10m 7s) but like a third of the people on the roster probably. So that's awesome. (10m 10s) Like the fact that we're driving, you're flying 20 states away and we're going to do a meet with like 30-ish people that you kind of know somewhat, that's amazing. And then another like you and Steve, there's me another half dozen to a dozen guys that aren't competing, that are still going to be there, helping out, having fun. And I'm assuming you're going to have some fun at Massenomics (10m 30s) Thursday Friday, like trying to, you know, maybe not PR or anything, I'm sure you're going to be like, I can't be in Massenomics and not like, you know, do something fun, something heavy. (10m 38s) I do want to jump into those. So I've never had an Atlas Stone. I've never held an Atlas Stone, (10m 42s) I've never even tried. And I do believe that the Massenomics Jim has some because I see a big Megan lifting them on her Instagram. I do, I am a little interested in that. But I do want to point out of, as you were talking about how some of us are attending, but not lifting, (10m 56s) Would we be the LaCroix of the Lift Heart, like are we the... (11m) Essence, favors of the Essence crew. (11m 4s) Just kind of there. (11m 5s) Yeah, just kind of there. (11m 6s) Like we drove by in a truck that was with the crew lifters. (11m 10s) How about you, Big Chris? (11m 12s) I was actually curious if you, Joey, were going to go to participate or not. (11m 17s) I know you had said that you might, but then kind of you couldn't. (11m 21s) I wasn't sure if you had jumped on when somebody backed out or not, or what was going on. (11m 26s) I did get some encouragement. (11m 30s) Even from one of the hosts. (11m 32s) But as it stands at the moment, I have a meet in two weeks. (11m 36s) And last month I got really sick. (11m 39s) And I've lost 25 pounds off of each left. (11m 43s) A month ago did 450 for two. (11m 47s) Today I did 425 and felt like maybe I could do another. (11m 51s) My bench went from probably pushing 200 down to maybe pushing 180. (11m 56s) And it is what it is. (11m 58s) And I said to somebody today, like, (12m) the point of strength is to just do what you can. (12m 3s) It's not how much you lift as long as you lift how much you can. (12m 5s) So at my meet, I was hoping for a 500 pound deadlift. (12m 10s) I'm not gonna get there. (12m 11s) I'll be lucky. (12m 12s) I wanted to do double my bodyweight, (12m 14s) which would have tripled my bodyweight, (12m 15s) which would have been close to 480 or 490, (12m 17s) depending on what I weigh in. (12m 19s) I'll be lucky to get there. (12m 20s) Like my third attempt will be that and I'm probably gonna fail it. (12m 23s) So knowing that and knowing all of my squat injuries, (12m 27s) I don't wanna, like I said, join a federation. (12m 30s) That I'll never lift in again, fly or drive for 24 hours with no prep. (12m 36s) Just to fail some lifts in front of some friends. (12m 40s) So I think that's kind of, I was talking to a potential vendor. (12m 45s) About representing them. (12m 48s) But they are kind of wishy washy at the moment. (12m 51s) So I might just be there to cheer load and. (12m 56s) I don't know, maybe I'll bartend. (12m 59s) I'm gonna be there in... (13m) some capacity, chairing everybody on. (13m 2s) Well, we're all there. That's all that matters. (13m 4s) But I was curious about that. (13m 6s) Thank you. (13m 7s) I started off the last year. (13m 9s) I stopped following a program called Power Build by Colin Whitney. (13m 13s) And then jumped on Juggernaut because I was actually able to program. (13m 17s) In the day of the meet, which helped out a ton. (13m 20s) But I've had some off days and I wanted to go in and hopefully hit 1500 before. (13m 27s) I hit the age of 40, which is the Christmas of next. (13m 30s) Of this year, I just don't, uh, the way that squats heel are awful right now. (13m 36s) Two weeks ago, I've deadlifted and hit five 60 per triple. (13m 42s) And then last weekend, I couldn't budge five 60 off the floor. (13m 46s) Yeah, dead, dead lifts suck like that, man. Like I, I have a, my deadlifts, like a hundred pounds less than that, but it's the only lift that I can, uh, I'll, I'll literally miss a warm up at like 90% get pissed off, smack myself, pinch my legs (14m) and fucking like hit 98% for a double or something, like 10 minutes later. (14m 4s) Whereas bench and squat, good fucking luck to one either of those like that. (14m 7s) Sorry to cut you off. I just had to get in. (14m 9s) That's one of my, one of my irritations with deadlift is just how crazy you can go up and down and fluctuate like that. (14m 15s) Very, very humbling sport. I'll tell you that. (14m 17s) My squad did the same thing. I was supposed to be able, because it all fairness, what I was aiming for. (14m 22s) And if I, if you'd asked me a month ago, I probably would have broken a thousand pound total, uh, but I chose not to do squats at this meet. (14m 30s) And then I got sick. And now, cause like, if I was able to do, let's say 750 between bench and dead, which at the time, maybe, right? Yeah. Or even 650. Let's say 650 is actually more realistic. (14m 48s) All I had to do was do a 350 squat. Okay. Do one 350 squat. I break. I get to a thousand, but then like between the injuries. Today, I was even doing lunges and my, my right leg just like nope. (15m 1s) MCL injury, right? So I'm just, it is, it is what it is. (15m 6s) And just unfortunate. (15m 8s) Yeah. Now, so go ahead. (15m 10s) Have you guys see all the awards that have been circulating on the Graham and the potential trophies and whatnot that they've gotten the works that pretty nifty looking. (15m 22s) I didn't see them. They do look good. (15m 24s) Those are the sort of words. (15m 26s) They're so they're not swords. (15m 27s) It's more it's like a medallion, but it's got like Massanomics the part of the busy okay. (15m 31s) It's not just your typical like like most metals that you'll get at like your US APO USPA those it's basically branded with the Federation more than anything else. (15m 44s) These are very massonomics, you know, if hardly easy kind of, you know, right in your face so hopefully hopefully everyone's in enough of their sub categories and masters and submasters to where at least most of us can walk away with some kind of trophy. (15m 58s) Are they made from aluminum grade? (16m 1s) Airport grade. Airport grade metal airplane grade. Like was it 50 caliber? What, what, what not? Airport grade. It sets off every alarm. (16m 13s) Speaking of that. (16m 15s) They had that big drop last week, speaking of the other podcast. (16m 19s) They had that big drop last week and I hope everybody was able to pick something up that wanted to pick something up. (16m 25s) But most importantly, I want to just mention if you're listening to this podcast, you're probably already a supporting member. (16m 31s) And you've been thinking about it. Just remember to head over to massnomics.com/join and jump in and you've got multiple levels that you can join in. (16m 39s) And you can become a member of the Discord crew and the Discord crew. I will, you know, let's do our quick advertisement for the Discord crew supporting our supporting members. We'll call it supporting members supporting members supporting members supporting members. (16m 51s) I was saying to my wife, my wife, and you can't know. I feel like I never say it right. Like I'm probably the only guy in the chat that asked me. (17m 1s) I'm not sure if it hasn't seen Bora, but I think I've seen the clip in like memes that are like, you know, like stories, but I can't bring myself to watch that movie. (17m 8s) But it's all right. So I don't have like a really good like fall back. How the hell am I supposed to say it? So I'm just using Tanner's bad interpretation of it as like what I'm gauging it off of. (17m 18s) So you're, you're a meme. You're actually mimetic. Like you're, you're, you're doing a copy of a copy. Yeah. That's fantastic. (17m 25s) Yeah. That's a horrible twist. I got right. (17m 32s) I was a keeper. (17m 37s) But you can join and I was saying today that one of my favorite things about that discord because I'm in one or two other discord that are not as active is that it's mostly just except for one threat. (17m 50s) It's mostly just everybody trying to make each other laugh. (17m 54s) And I always compare that to speaking of last week's episode to friends versus a show. (18m 2s) So, like latter Kenny friends isn't funny friends is a series of one liners with no setup no punchline it's repeated jokes. It is my least favorite TV show ever. Whereas later Kenny is people making each other laugh you can tell that those characters are being funny for each other, not for the camera. (18m 19s) And that's what I love about our discord is it is today when when I was just ripping on cottage cheese because it's the worst thing in the world. (18m 29s) goes. How much? How much? (18m 31s) protein are you absorbing when you vomit it up three seconds later? Like I laughed out loud. (18m 36s) That was so funny to me. And that's again, what I love about being a part of this discord. So if you want to be part of the discord, massnomics.com/join, if you're not already in there, if you are in there, or you get in there, there's probably a chance you might be called on to be on the discord. (18m 53s) Right now we're going to be cycling through some of the people that have helped build this podcast. (18m 57s) On the podcast, on the podcast. Yes, podcast discord. (19m 1s) Right now we're cycling through a couple of people who have helped build this podcast. (19m 6s) But then we will be reaching out to some of the members, including the chocolate chips and everybody to try and get them on this podcast to hopefully not talk as much as Big Chris is not talking right now. So let's fix that. Yeah, Chris, let's talk over everybody. So, well, this is the now we're entering the Chris Damma dengelinger 20 minute half hour segment of the podcast. So (19m 31s) first off, buddy, what the fuck is your name? I'm Big Chris. Demingus, no, it is damage. (19m 40s) And I thought he is more of a J. I've always said, I've always said dammingers, (19m 45s) so I'm glad to know that I was close. It is close. So the funny story about that is if somebody would call the house when I was younger, that's how you knew it was a telemarketer because they never got the last name right. You've seen my last name. Yes. Remember the first time, tell me They are one of the hosts. (20m 1s) me one of the hosts tried to say my name and he just said, (20m 5s) mother, no, too many consonants. So I hear you. I feel you on that one. (20m 11s) But yes, it is damage. It kind of just flows. It's as I described it to one of the hosts, the soft J soft J. (20m 20s) Sounds nice. That was much in the in anger, you think anger. (20m 26s) And why we're on the topic of your name. I don't think any (20m 31s) just follow your wife, but you're always reposting what she posts. She literally calls you damage her and everything you post. Like, has your wife ever called you Chris? Has your wife called you Chris more than 20 times in your life? Chris comes out if I've messed up. Okay, so when I so so if you're having a good day, you don't hear your name at home. Yes, yes. It's very interesting. That's that you don't get that a whole lot like (20m 57s) where you're, you know, you're just a bit other just now is it's. (21m 1s) Do your friends call you damage or two is like, is that where it came from? (21m 4s) Or is she just like my entire life that has never been Chris? (21m 9s) It's always just been my last name. (21m 10s) That's it. (21m 11s) So that's it. (21m 11s) Which is that and it's ironic that now is it just the massonomics crowd and the discord, the fact that like we've only ever seen it as a screen name that we don't know how to that no one that it's such a struggle pronunciation or has your friend, like has your whole have you been explaining people how to say your name your entire life, I guess. (21m 29s) I think the long way to say a very short question. (21m 31s) For the most part, it's been, I'd say about 80% of people get it. (21m 36s) And then, every once in a while, I have to be like, like, I didn't nor PS meet. I was like, you got to say, "Davenger." (21m 43s) It's not "Daminger." It's not at all. (21m 47s) That's funny. (21m 49s) Well, I'd say moving on for your name, what are you wearing tonight, buddy? (21m 53s) I can see it because we're on a Zoom chat. (21m 55s) And I know what it is, but tell the audience what you're wearing and how you got that. (22m) I'd have my... (22m 1s) Frankenstein bench heavy shirt on that I won for doing the Massanomics meme contest and kind of being (22m 10s) Swim hack from wish (22m 14s) That was great. I'm happy that one. Yeah (22m 18s) I'm happy you won that in I'm excited for the next thing we have going on (22m 24s) I don't know what it is yet, but I'm excited. Yeah (22m 27s) I think I think it is do (22m 30s) I think if anybody knows. (22m 31s) It's the mall. (22m 32s) It's the mall. (22m 33s) Yeah. (22m 34s) Well, one of the most one of the moles. (22m 37s) Yeah, there's there's there's multiple moles because you know that just everyone has a little bit too much insight information, you know, well, with being host of an affiliate podcast, (22m 47s) we're probably going to start getting named as a yeah, possibly also that the here's here's a good benefit that came out of last week's podcast that that proves to me that one of host of the other podcast actually listens to our episode. (23m 1s) So remember last week I, I think it was towards the tail end, I asked about the Chad Leslie Smith (23m 6s) visit to Aberdeen and if there was any content from that. And I was like, hey Tanner, if you have that, send it over. And like, you know, this morning, I opened up a DM from Tanner from one of the hosts. And there it was. There was the juggernaut recap of their, you know, hanging out at Aberdeen. (23m 23s) So I'll have to watch that this weekend. But basically, that's one of the benefits of being on the the podcast is other people that do podcasts will listen to you sometimes. (23m 31s) Yeah, I saw when I was very busy at work and I was just like, oh, that's cool. I got a DM from, (23m 39s) you know, so-and-so. And I was like, oh, okay, let me circle back to that when I have a little bit of time. But yeah, it was definitely a juggernaut specific video. And speaking of YouTube videos, (23m 51s) we'll get into another little ad read here briefly. So if you've noticed, (23m 55s) Massenomics has been really picking up their YouTube content, not just posting their podcast weekly so I'm sure every. (24m 1s) one's you know if you follow along you've been enjoying it there they're pretty they're quick and digestible I know a lot of people have it you know for that very short attempts and span and can't do anything more than like an eight minute video so I think for the most part of the couple of their longer blogs they've all been you know five six minutes so make sure to follow along at the Massenomics YouTube page and check out the instagram and all that good stuff and you know if you're short of any t shirts go check out the last drop. (24m 28s) which actually the how to use the. (24m 31s) That would, that one almost annoyed me, but solely because like I'm such a, I love Ben Block. (24m 40s) Like I use my bench block like weekly. (24m 42s) I feel that it's added pounds to my bench press. (24m 45s) I actually met the guy that built the bench block that like owns the company that built the product. (24m 50s) I met up at home gym con last month. (24m 52s) So like coming off of that, I mean, like, I literally like shook this guy's hand and hung out with him for a few minutes and then like the, the realizing that the entire video was a gag. (25m 2s) in and I was like, I was hooked, and then it was just like, you're really just going to call it a goddamn phone holder for five minutes and then just say, bye, I was like, (25m 10s) it was, it was, it was peak mess and always, I mean, that's what I expected from them. (25m 13s) But it was just like, that was like the one time where I just wanted them to actually give us a little bit of, you know, sets and reps basically. And like, they kind of pulled the rug out from under me, but it was, it was hysterical. But it was just like, ah, damn it. (25m 26s) They got me. Like, like, I would have been disappointed if they did do something serious. (25m 32s) It's funny cuz I was working out during that one, and I just had it on the background. (25m 36s) And they're going to go and they go and they're like, all right, (25m 38s) they're just talking about, you know, board press and bench box. (25m 41s) And then I start hearing them talk about how I set up phones and stuff. (25m 44s) And I am dying life and trying to get through my sense. (25m 47s) >> Nice. (25m 48s) So you regularly can like listen to you. (25m 53s) You can consume media and not music while working out cuz I cannot do that. (25m 57s) If we think stuff in a cardio, it depends on like when I started it. (26m 2s) If there's only like 15 minutes of the podcast left, I'll go now and start warming up and I'll just throw it on as I'm warming up. (26m 8s) And then once it stops, even if I'm in the middle of a set, (26m 11s) I'll just climb out and change it to music or something like that. (26m 15s) I can't do what Big Gen was doing with small town murder. (26m 19s) >> Yeah, I don't know how she lifts. (26m 22s) It's just that big wide open garage with like, it seems like it has no acoustics and all you hear is the podcast is hilarious. (26m 28s) And I'm just like, she's doing like max effort RP 10 squats. (26m 32s) Just listening to a podcast like, I can't do that, man. (26m 35s) He was like, especially like, if you're really listening to it, and like, you're in the bottom of the hole and someone says something hysterical, like, how are you not busting a gut laughing? (26m 44s) Why you have like a big weight on your back? (26m 45s) Like, I almost would be afraid to do that just to not be in the zone. (26m 50s) Yeah, I mean, it's mostly 90% music. (26m 52s) And now I love it because I'm not in a gym. (26m 55s) So I'm not tied down to just putting in headphones in all the time. (26m 59s) I can put on just put on Bluetooth speaker and go to town. (27m 2s) Nice. (27m 3s) So you follow him or anything? (27m 5s) So you've transitioned mostly to the whole gym. (27m 7s) I think when I first started following you a couple of years ago, you were, you had just started the whole gym, maybe, but you were still commercial gym most of the time. (27m 14s) And I'm trying to think back when last time I saw you in a commercial gym was. (27m 17s) It was a, I'll say it was, it's probably been about four months now since I've actually been in a commercial gym. (27m 24s) I still hit, we have a tillus out here and on Saturday mornings, I go to a tillus and deadlift because I don't have a deadlift. (27m 32s) And that is like a mental break for me because that is where everyone I started lifting with goes on Saturday mornings. (27m 38s) And we go, we hang out, we laugh, we have a good time. (27m 42s) I deadlift that day. (27m 43s) Some guys just do speed days that day. (27m 46s) It's just a random day for most people, but we usually have a good time. (27m 49s) Sometimes we'll go out and practice afterwards. (27m 51s) Just ends up being a good day. (27m 55s) Nice. (27m 56s) I think we can all appreciate that. (27m 58s) I mean, I know I touched on it last week, but like that just resonates with the whole community thing. (28m 2s) Like I'm on this discord because I want to be in a community. (28m 4s) I'm doing this podcast because I want to grow my circle. (28m 6s) I want to be a part of community. (28m 8s) Like the fact that you're doing that in a gym, like nothing makes me happier than knowing like people that have gym friends and actually go and do stuff with them outside of that too. (28m 15s) Like that's, that's like, I, that's a very enjoyable thing in my life. (28m 20s) So I'm glad that other people are partaking in that as well. (28m 22s) What about you, Joey? (28m 23s) I know you have, I know you are mostly trained in your whole gym. (28m 26s) Do you, I know you're, you have a, Steve, your buddy is the one that lives by. (28m 30s) You guys trained somewhat regularly. (28m 32s) We wanted to, yeah, we wanted to, but our schedules, just like he works and my schedule, I don't have the same days off. So it's really hard to establish that it is ideal and we have said like, let's start doing that because I have a little more disciplined plus I have the juggernaut AI program, which is, you know, a messonomics supporter as well. (28m 58s) So I am on that, but like, personally, (29m 2s) because I'm on a program, when somebody says, (29m 4s) oh, come work out with me. (29m 6s) Like, what they really want to do is they want to push their maxes with me. (29m 10s) And I don't want to do that. (29m 11s) I don't, and that's not Steve. (29m 13s) I got to say, that's not big Steve. (29m 15s) He's never done that to me. (29m 16s) He can actually out bench and out squat me. (29m 19s) So like, he's never going to push me to hurt myself or do anything outside of my program. (29m 23s) But like, when my buddies are messaging me and they're saying, like, oh, come work out of my gym. (29m 27s) And like, what am I going to do? (29m 27s) Like, sorry, I have a program. (29m 29s) And if I come work out with you, you're doing my program (29m 32s) or we're not working out together, like, so no. (29m 36s) I don't really do that, but I will say that I don't really have a desire to do that. (29m 40s) So you guys talk about what you're listening to in the gym. (29m 44s) Sometimes I honestly will just put on Viking beads and it'll just be a steady drum for two hours. (29m 50s) - Whatever words you've heard. (29m 52s) Now that's when you prepare to go to war, right? (29m 54s) - That's when I prepare to go to war with the bar. (29m 56s) But no, it's because that stuff, it's just like entrancing. (30m) It's just in your head. It's in your chest. (30m 2s) and it's because I'm there to just do the job. (30m 5s) I'm not there to, to, you know, freak out and scream. (30m 9s) But then other days I dance and listen to like tech, (30m 11s) don't stuff like that, but no, (30m 13s) I don't really have a desire to work out with people or work in with people or work out near people or even be around people most of the time. (30m 22s) I would much prefer to be in the backyard smoking a cigar staring at the sky than being in public. (30m 29s) I did a job fair yesterday for my job. (30m 32s) And can I tell you that that was the most psychologically and socially exhausting thing I have done in months, probably since Christmas, because it was just, oh, it was like on the spot interviews doing 30 an hour for four hours. (30m 48s) At the end of it, I just came home and I said to him, my wife, I'm like, I need to go bench. I need to go hit the bench like, leave me alone. (30m 56s) Like I had to do that. (30m 58s) So not to put you on the spot or anything, but do you have any so don't say anything to get in trouble, obviously do you have any? (31m 2s) Like do you like one good story of like this stupid son of a bitch wanted a job here and this was his resume or this was his appearance or was there anything that just made you go, you came to a job fair and this is how you presented yourself or this is the words that you spoke and anything like that that you're at privy to say but don't do anything is obviously going to get in trouble when we can just move on. (31m 21s) No, no, I would actually say that I actually interviewed a couple people that in the middle of the interview, just telling them what I do ask them how they feel about it. (31m 32s) And there was at least two or three people that and then my boss was there to do a second interview right like he was kind of in the back. (31m 39s) Then if we had like a fish on the line, we go okay I want you to meet my boss he's it and I will say that I found two people that I immediately was just like you're moving to the front of the line of the second interview. (31m 49s) And I want to say I hired both of them. (31m 52s) They were, they were topped here there was a weird story. I don't know how much I want to get into it, but some guy came and started asking about why newcomers to the country. (32m 2s) And then I was like, oh, I don't know how many are able to find work. And I felt like he was trying to trap me into saying something that I shouldn't say, because obviously but I'm not stupid. (32m 12s) So I just said, well, I don't know like a lot of the time in our in our in our role as you know sales, sometimes a barrier is language or communication. (32m 21s) And then I say, all of the people I hire a new hire a newcomer to the country, but I don't just say like, maybe that's what's stopping them. (32m 29s) But I do kind of feel like that dude was trying to trap me into saying something. (32m 32s) So he clearly wasn't there for the job fair, he was trying like, cause a ruckus. (32m 39s) So again, like fuck you, you don't even left like, it was that Arnold like that Arnold meme was like look at you, you tiny little man. (32m 49s) But no, I actually was really successful. Thank you for asking. It was like I said, exhausting. We did lose somebody from my team that I'm very sad to see go. (32m 57s) I am also very excited that my interview skills and my first intuition when meeting people. (33m 2s) Has so far been extremely successful. (33m 5s) Nice. (33m 6s) I feel like that can't hurt your venture into being a podcast host with me here. (33m 12s) Like just this, just daily, just being able to talk to people more and more. (33m 16s) And then like people you don't know, I mean, I know us. (33m 19s) To me, that's, I have to talk people briefly at my job, (33m 22s) but it's like, I don't have to be very personable with them. (33m 24s) And it's just, you know, yes, sir, no ma'am, just kind of, (33m 26s) I'm here to do a service and get in and out of your home as quickly as I can. (33m 30s) I'm not making conversation. (33m 31s) So like just the. (33m 32s) Small talk that we have to do here it's it's I'm getting better at it I feel like you know I think each week will progress I feel like we've almost been talking a little bit too much and we've got to try to refocus back on our crew of the week Chris here. (33m 46s) There's a podcast going on. (33m 47s) Yeah sorry about that guys wait we know you want to hear about Mr Damager he is he seems pretty wrong. No, that was right. (33m 55s) It's like Dillinger, but with a dam, Dillon Dam. (34m 3s) That's the joke I was talking about before. (34m 5s) Yeah, that was. (34m 7s) That was top tier fun. (34m 9s) So Chris, you've the floor is the if yeah, we can turn through some of these questions but like what do you, you know, tell us about anything you want to say you did the, you know, I hate to put you on the spot but we're kind of scrambling here with our questions we didn't we didn't get a whole lot of help from the crew to the end. I've got one let's not let's not like, okay, I'm not dance monkey big Chris dance monkey let's let's ask him. (34m 33s) I'm too. (34m 34s) I'm creating so let's let's enjoy. (34m 35s) I've got to the silly question. (34m 37s) No, that one we're going to go with last I hope. (34m 40s) Because I feel like that's going to we're going to be able to spiral off that for a while for a while. (34m 43s) What was your first massonomics purchase. (34m 47s) Oh, and why. (34m 49s) How did you find massonomics. (34m 51s) Talked about the gym that I go to on Saturday mornings, probably about. (34m 57s) I want to say I had to be over a year ago because I was working. (35m 3s) I'm at now. So he, one of my buddies that makes shirts here, I was like, I'm shocked. (35m 9s) You don't have these shirts yet. And he showed me mass knocks. (35m 12s) This is my friend Brian. Good guy makes awesome shirts. (35m 17s) He shows me mass knocks. I'm like, well, now I need one. Now he showed me the lift shirt and then a few other shirts just scrolled through. I had no idea about the podcast until I actually went and bought the neon lift hard of easy, which I no longer have because there was a giant hole in it. (35m 36s) There's three laws in it. (35m 37s) That's where your arms and head go. (35m 38s) Yeah. (35m 40s) That's the scants dad joke of the week. (35m 43s) It's the first one bought. (35m 44s) Uh, and then after that, I was like, I liked the material they use, the shirts that use everything. (35m 50s) They all came in. (35m 51s) And then I think I've went huge life after that. (35m 54s) And good to good. (35m 55s) That one's that one's a banger. (35m 57s) Yeah. (35m 57s) That one is a banger. (35m 58s) It fits a little different, but it is a banger. (36m) It's definitely like a. (36m 3s) Extra, you know, it definitely fits like 1.25% of the other ones, but then some of the other ones fit like 0.75. I feel like the the the mass and all makes metal one like I almost can't wear because the arms are so small and it's like I get it. I know I'm fat, but like my wardrobe tells me that every day to like I basically cycle through the same rear four shirts because they're the only ones that fit kind of perfect. (36m 23s) And there's a couple other ones that like, okay, it's the exact same shirt. Some reason it's just cut like 12% smaller or something. I just like I don't I'm just way too self conscious on it but we forgot to mention it. (36m 33s) Tonight, I am wearing, I am wearing the the ouch everything hurts AC DC parody shirt that is that is my shirt of choice tonight. What about you Joey. What do you got on. I see a yellow. (36m 45s) I have I have the don't curling me. I said it was what I knew it was going to be one of those two. (36m 51s) And it's it doesn't fit that well, because one thing about joining juggernaut AI. Remember to use code mass economics and sign up on the website not on the app and save 10% off the lifetime of your membership. (37m 4s) I have gotten bigger. So all of my shirts that were small just don't really fit. So I thought this was a good opportunity to wear this because I don't have to worry about anybody in public judging me. So I'm wearing this one now. (37m 16s) But also because of that rascal advertisement where I think that they are particularly calling out mass economics yet again, where they said that they tell us not to curl in the squat rack, and then they have a biceps friendly shirt. (37m 31s) And I felt like they really wanted to. (37m 33s) I would stick that to them a little bit on this podcast they're never going to listen to. (37m 38s) Yeah rascal and Omar ass muffin has kind of been on my shit list ever since the whole George war and you know, obviously we have to support our team mass economics to anyone that kind of comes after us basically becomes our sworn enemy instantly so I mean it's all water in the bridge now and I, you know, I know some of the guys are rep fitness and it's great but rep fitness had a little thing where they made a you can curl and me it's your squat rack kind of flag. (38m 3s) And this was pre discord I believe so it was just like, you know it was just people who knew on Instagram and like it was basically I think it blew up in the, I mean, I think one of the hosts posted on the stories kind of calling them out, because this was right, you know obviously it was a It was a blatant rip off of the don't curling me flag, which is a blatant rip off of the you know the Marines flag etc you know so do you know it was just a wonderful thing but anyway like I just remember that this was this had to been like 2019 maybe because it was definitely pre pre-COVID, I believe, and the garage gym, the garage gym, Facebook. (38m 33s) group, a bunch of people posted it in there and we were just like basically roasting rep fitness and then like within a couple hours between everyone on Instagram tagging rep fitness and memes like making fun of them for you know, copycatons flag, you know, it was like off their website and down and I'm pretty sure that just threw the stock down or gave it away. And that was that was pre that that was like the first time I experienced mass economics army and like was able to play a small part of it because I definitely made five or six memes and was like like you know my buddies memes that were just supporting mass andomics and kind of shit known rep. But like I said, (39m 3s) I got friends from Repfitness, like they're, you know, they're water under the bridge and all that, but it was just like really cool to see like mass andomics army really, like, you know, take something down. It was like, it was like an, you know, like a million aunts like just carrying something like 1000 times in size away and just destroying it. And I was like, that's pretty awesome. But I was, I was kind of shocked when Dan, you know, Chris said he only kind of found us about a year ago like I feel like you've been a presence in the discord for significantly longer than that so that just goes to show you know it's not a. (39m 33s) You know, it's not how long you've been here. It's, you know, just how, what kind of impact you've been making it's not what you know. Yeah, I was trying to play on that, but it just, it didn't, my brain was commuting fast enough how to make that upon and make it funny so glad you picked up where I let down. (39m 49s) The days are long with the years are short, right? That honestly is so fucking true. Another day closer to Monday. (39m 55s) Dude, I'm gonna be I'm gonna be 38 next month and I'm like, freaking out about that. (40m) Okay, big Chris. (40m 1s) Yep, yep, yep. (40m 3s) What is the weirdest way and the funniest way somebody's ever said your last name? (40m 12s) I would just sit the ball. Tanner had a really good one because he over-anunciated it all. (40m 18s) Well, the host. We all do it. It is what it is. (40m 22s) Yeah. We'll get there. He was like, "Domingner!" (40m 29s) just time but usually that's how it's... (40m 33s) like it's just that way no matter what because I get where it comes from but that's how just how people say it and that's usually 90% of the time. Sometimes people add an extra end in there somewhere. (40m 45s) What? No idea where they get that from. (40m 48s) Dominger? Dominger. Dominger. (40m 50s) Okay, I'll share something with you on that because we both have last names that are for some reason difficult. (40m 59s) for that my entire elementary school. (41m 3s) MLE CZKO, it's a Polish last name, it's there's a whole history behind it, but for some reason, through all of elementary and more part of middle school, they had MLE CZK ZKO, so me being the smartass that I was one day, I went into the principal's office and they were like, oh, you got this and I looked at it and I was like, yeah, that's not me. (41m 23s) And I just pretended like the sorry that's not my last name I don't have to talk to you any of you or anything about this. So I got fixed pretty quickly to be honest with you. (41m 34s) Dominger, I like that. Dominger. (41m 38s) It's usually just how? (41m 41s) That sounds more evil, doesn't it? Dominger? (41m 43s) That sounds like a bad guy from a 1984 novel. (41m 47s) The uploader. (41m 49s) I mumble quite a bit, if you can't tell. (41m 52s) You're coming for pretty clear, but you're doing good. (41m 56s) If I get talking very fast, there's been some people that swear I say these. (42m 4s) I'm like, yeah, I can see that. So it would be Dominger. (42m 8s) I don't hear that. (42m 11s) There's some times where I've called myself and I'm like, oh, man, that does. (42m 15s) I can see where you're coming from with that. (42m 17s) That one sounds a bit less evil. Like that one's more of a librarian. (42m 22s) What is that beeping? Is that me? (42m 25s) I don't hear anything. (42m 26s) Oh, cool. Hopefully the recording didn't just destroy us or die on us, but that's fine. (42m 31s) Okay, I have... (42m 34s) Two questions if you don't mind me taking the lead for a few more minutes there. Okay, so do you guys want (42m 42s) The silly goose question of the week, or would you like me to go to the kind of Canadian specific idea that I had? (42m 50s) Is the I kind of like the idea of this probably the silly goose laugh. Well, I (42m 56s) Yeah, you're right. You're right because the Canadian one might the Canadian one might fail. Oh (43m 2s) We do always talk about (43m 3s) the differences between the Canadian and the US Discord crew and, you know, I'm south of you, blah, blah, blah, so I'm actually wearing some clothing on my, you know, bottom from something that we used to have up here that was called body break. (43m 17s) So you might be closer to me so from New York you might have heard some of it. So body break was two people held Johnson and Joanne McCloud, and they would be during your after school or lunchtime schooling, they would just be there to show you some healthy eating tips, show you some quick workout tips, and it was all keep fit and have fun. So if you ever are on YouTube and you want to see some really great stuff from the 80s and 90s from these two, and they still live in my area. (43m 46s) And it's worth looking at, do you guys have like any of those memories. Do you remember anything like that from your childhood that you know where these weird little like just almost PSAs, but maybe childhood TV shows that would like remind you to eat more and get healthy. (44m 7s) I don't think about that. I don't watch a ton of TV as a kid and I'm sure 20 years ago I'd have like the perfect immediate answer but I'm just I'm drawn up like everything. (44m 18s) But that was all science. I feel like there were some save by the bell episodes where they were like basically don't do drugs and shit like that but nothing that was more like PSA kind of thing. (44m 31s) Didn't NBC have a bunch of like like not necessarily a commercial but like in between the episodes they would just kind of be like just like a don't do stupid shit as a kid kind of acting them up because we completely misremembering that I don't know. (44m 44s) We had a robot here in Canada, who would remove her arm. (44m 51s) And then she would tell you I can put myself back together you can't stay safe while you're out there we had some rabbits to that had a weird stay alert stay safe thing. (44m 59s) So is that like just strictly a Canadian thing we're just reminding your kids to not. (45m 4s) I mean, we had a lot of like, amazing, I, most of our stuff, I guess, like that would have been all like drug and alcohol related and like don't drink and drive don't do drugs day day day was really big. (45m 16s) That's as far as just like don't do stupid shit that's not drug and alcohol related or like don't smoke, you know, I think I grew up when like there was like the war on, you know, I was a kid in the early 90s I was like the war on drugs and all that shit so I think that was the biggest thing that I remember. (45m 31s) Now it's now it's all like don't don't vape and don't do all this shit that I don't even like I don't know anyone the babes in my life it's like it's like it's like it's just like it's a fucking pandemic and I don't know anyone that does it it's kind of weird alright well that is not the answer I was expecting so I'm glad I didn't know I'm glad I didn't go with that one last yeah that would have that would have been a before you get to your last one I want to I got I got one to chime in so let's talk it's just one of the other tabs there but Chris if you ever met either of the post another podcast or if you haven't met them tell us about (46m 4s) other I know you've met some crew in person so you know fire away on that the only person that I've met so far is Big Eddie. Okay. And there's a I think it's Big Johnny POV. Yeah, he's a one at the one outside of New York City. The strong man guy. (46m 22s) There's two guys that the one of the strong man events I did and they both recognized the hat. They thought I was Jackson ginger. I was not. (46m 35s) See we're not on the TV show recently. They didn't think beer muscles strong man event that I that I completely shipped the bed on and I was just miserable that day but meeting those guys was cool. I can't remember the other guy's name. (46m 49s) I know they're both from New York. That's that's about all I can tell you. The host. (46m 56s) That's one of the things I'm looking forward to is going to meet and everything. Obviously meeting those guys. (47m 5s) I'm being able to go all middle class fancy on everyone. (47m 10s) Both is going to be said a lot that we can. (47m 13s) So you said you said you have done a strong man. Have you done a power to meet in the past two. (47m 18s) There's going to be your two powerless meets. Nice. Okay. And two strong man events. (47m 23s) So you're in open power lifting so you can there you go. That's good stuff. I love it. (47m 28s) Don't make this brutal. That's the only thing I can say. Because you'll go in. (47m 34s) Do your, basically you'll go into your parallel thing. And then you'll be like, (47m 39s) Oh, you know what? Let me throw some log press on the end of this. And it's just, (47m 44s) my never been so beat up in my life. And when I was getting ready for Strongman. (47m 49s) It looks fun. I just, I don't really have access to any of that stuff. You know, it's, but, uh, (47m 53s) I don't know, I'm too OCD to the point that like, I like things that stay the same. Like, (47m 57s) I like variations in like the 20 lifts that I already do. I don't, like, it's hard. I'm already (48m 4s) for, uh, I already have too much variation on most because I'll, you know, high bar, low bar, (48m 8s) tough low bar, safety squat bar, neutral grip bar for bench. Like, I track all those and like, (48m 14s) pause the versions of it and touch and go versions of it. So to me, adding Strongman in where I can't (48m 19s) like tell you exactly what this weighs or exactly what that weighs. It would just, (48m 23s) it would drive me crazy to not be able to like, just track things on a spreadsheet perfectly of like exactly what I did. I don't know. That's just my OCD brain. I don't. (48m 34s) to think I would ever mesh with it. Well, that's why I'm like, I know I'm going to squat. I know I'm going to bench. I know I'm going to deadlift. You could go to Strowman and they could be like, well, this implement is not working the way we are. So you're going to lift it this way instead. (48m 49s) See, maybe it's just me, but that sounds fun as hell. I remember I was out at a managers meeting with a couple of, we call it managers meeting because all the managers from around Terry, all of Ontario come together we go for dinner. And we were at a restaurant and they were walking by and one of them pushed on this little bed. (49m 4s) And he was like, Hey, that's pretty heavy. And I was like, BS, and I want to just pick it up. And he goes, do you just like look for things that are too heavy to lift up? And I'm like, yeah, you don't. (49m 16s) And so I think that it would be really fun to kind of do something like that. So I do, like I said last week, there is a likelihood of me being in Strongman. (49m 26s) And my wife also likes to joke that when we're driving, and there's like my wife, and there's like a big pile of rocks in the field. She's always like. (49m 34s) So you're going to pull over and lift those or what? Because I bet I can live that one. And I think that seems kind of fun to me. So maybe that's just me. (49m 44s) He does there's trail wall rocks. Well, so that guy that he's wandering around and pick up soon. (49m 49s) Yeah, that sounds great. (49m 52s) So that's the best stuff you can do kind of do with your family, too. Like I see like, but your kids are going to watch you like picking shit up for that for years and they probably like imitate you and well, I imagine like some of your kids have probably like been like, I see a rock. (50m 2s) Let me be like daddy and try to pick it up. Yeah, can we. (50m 5s) got to be good students. My dad went and filled a bunch of the blue boxes and stuff with (50m 10s) compost because the city was giving out free compost and then he's like okay well wait for me we'll get those out of the back of the truck and I was like no and I just started carrying them out of the back of the truck myself and then the one was like a big V-shape and I was like honey it's a who's a full stone and I just started like walking around the deck with it. (50m 28s) I gotta I gotta have you follow up with that you said a blue bin was that a recycling bin? (50m 33s) - Yes. (50m 35s) - Okay. (50m 35s) - Yeah, the blue bin's are recycling bins. (50m 36s) - Yeah, no, okay, I put my blue bin out to the curbs. (50m 40s) Last night I just, I have never heard a call to blue bin, (50m 43s) like just in a quick conversation like that. (50m 45s) I was like, is that it? (50m 45s) So anytime I'm having, I've been so exposed to Canadian, (50m 49s) like my Canadian friends this last couple of years, (50m 52s) you know, via the Discord and now via the podcast. (50m 54s) So it's like, okay, there's just certain things that I don't, you know, know that people talk like that, (51m 1s) you know, like I've been on a couple, (51m 3s) like, well, prior. (51m 5s) to this podcast starting we've had a whole bunch of different in the mass in the mass economics discord there's you there's the the intern lounge you can just get on there we have like seven or eight guys in there one night just on a group audio chat. (51m 20s) And then anytime scans would get on it but you had to like, really like he's a really good speaker but it's like just his his I'm not going to call it a twang but just like his what is what what what what do we Americans call the Canadian diet like that I don't know but it was just strong and scans that is where yours is much more. (51m 35s) You know, distance, I am in the middle of the country and he is on the almost farthest east you can get before you go to the ocean, but he was in Ottawa when we first started talking, but I believe he is a niece coaster born and raised, and I'm just a niece coaster at heart who happens to live in the middle and not near any ocean. (51m 56s) I do find a lot of new Canadians. (52m 3s) I do find a lot of new Canadians. (52m 5s) Who will ask me if I'm from out east. (52m 7s) I get that sometimes, but. (52m 9s) Now I'm now I'm self conscious and I'm kind of like trying not to do it. (52m 13s) No, it's it's like it's unknown. (52m 15s) It's not really noticeable. (52m 17s) I'm curious if you were to drink more. (52m 19s) If it would be more obvious or like less. (52m 22s) I mean, if you're tipsy, it would probably be a little more Canadians. (52m 26s) It depends on how fast I'm talking. (52m 28s) The last time it came out is one of my coat. (52m 31s) I the last time it came out is one of my co my name. (52m 35s) My co workers who moved from out east to work with me here. (52m 40s) And I think I had just said something like, like, get fockin' (52m 43s) rack to bod like it was just something and she looked at me and she goes, see, that was Kate Breton right there. (52m 49s) And I was just like, yeah, and it just comes out. (52m 51s) Like it just comes out sometimes. (52m 55s) - During start flowing, work in 18 comes out, right? (52m 58s) - Well, actually that was stone sober at work. (53m) Something annoyed me. (53m 3s) And it's like I forgot to be-- (53m 5s) And I want to give a little bit of backstory to how these are going to go every week. (53m 10s) This week, I was playing the new Star Wars game. (53m 14s) And Morgan turns to me, and she asked me the question. (53m 18s) Morgan, his why? (53m 20s) I think it's going to be a little bit of fun. (53m 22s) I think it's going to be a little bit of fun. (53m 24s) I think it's going to be a little bit of fun. (53m 26s) I think it's going to be a little bit of fun. (53m 28s) I think it's going to be a little bit of fun. (53m 30s) I think it's going to be a little bit fun. (53m 32s) Ask me the question Morgan his wife. (53m 35s) I laugh she asked me the question I'm about to ask you guys and naturally my first reaction was to ask her if she just had a stroke. (53m 45s) And then I was like no that's a really funny question I'm going to put that into the into a notes to ask on the next podcast and now she wants to be a part of that so she can add more questions. (53m 58s) But I want to say in her brain because she had already seen somebody talk about talk about this on her Instagram. (54m 5s) That's a completely legitimate question. (54m 9s) Now this is how much I love my life. (54m 12s) So I want you guys to tell me. (54m 15s) If you were gifted to baby praying mantises to adopt and raise. What would you name those two baby praying mantises. And why use your drivers. (54m 29s) And why. (54m 36s) This is all around a star wars game right. (54m 39s) Nope she saw somebody on her Instagram who had adopted baby praying mantises named. (54m 45s) Named them what they she thought was hilarious names. And then asked me what I would name them and I was like what I would never even they're paying mantises I don't need to name them they're not going to come when they call. (54m 57s) That's very true. And so there now like now you have to think about it like what would you name baby praying mantises. (55m 5s) - I, the only thing, I don't even know. (55m 10s) I think you've seen a brain, Madison, years. (55m 12s) They're so rare. (55m 15s) Something, something, I don't know. (55m 18s) What were the dinosaurs names in Lamaphore time? (55m 21s) Is it the only, like the dinosaurs are kind of lizardy-ish thing? (55m 24s) So was it Spike and Littlefoot, I guess? (55m 27s) I don't know, that was where there's two of them. (55m 28s) Like Spike, the Spike was the guy with the tail and then Littlefoot was the main character, yeah. (55m 35s) And then it goes Spike and Littlefoot solely because it's like the only thing I can think of and I'm not a, I'm a huge pet guy, (55m 40s) but like I don't consider a, I don't know, (55m 42s) it's a bug a pet, like what do you do with a praying man? (55m 45s) Like, and the praying man is, it's gotta be two males, right? (55m 47s) 'Cause there's, I mean, they said an old wives tail. (55m 49s) It's like it's a literal thing. (55m 50s) Like the woman literally fucking eat the head off the guy after coin is right. (55m 53s) I guess that's a thing. (55m 57s) So, so if it is a male. (56m) - Yes, they were actually our males. (56m 1s) She told me that I had to ask that in particular. (56m 5s) They already have a bunch of nicknames because they are like murderous monsters. (56m 10s) So yeah, she did wanna say they're males. (56m 12s) So are the males. (56m 13s) So, Chris, what would you name these two praying mantises that are forced on your lap and you are forced to love and raise them? (56m 21s) - I will go full on office and go the two most underrated office characters and say Creed and Kevin. (56m 30s) - There you go. (56m 31s) - Hi, there is things that Creed and Kevin do background of the office. (56m 35s) that get me every time so I will go with that that is there's my brothers I really can't go off on it besides the fact that we have probably been praying menaces everywhere down here and they wonderful everywhere. (56m 49s) So I can walk out I could probably walk out the woods right now and probably find some. (56m 53s) There, there rare around here, but you know before once COVID hit and everybody kind of just stopped destroying the ecology for a little bit. (57m 3s) They did start coming back out here. (57m 6s) So did the fireflies, I think that my dad said he hadn't seen fireflies in a decade and we got fireflies out here again so. (57m 13s) You tried to or I tried to bunk over the grill one day, and then I looked down and there is maybe five or six little tiny baby praying manaces crawling all over it. (57m 25s) I can't kill them. No, they cover off to somewhere there in there they were all living. (57m 32s) They eat the things that I don't like like I'll keep them around all day. (57m 36s) So that is our silly good question of the week and I want to assure you, they are going to continue in this weird. (57m 45s) Just superfluous non sequitur kind of silly things that I hope I get the same reactions of just utter confusion yet somehow you got to answer. (57m 59s) More on the answer, but that's a tough question. Yeah, it's so random. (58m 5s) And I feel like nothing. I didn't have anything that triggered me tonight yet. Hopefully we can, I know we might be towards the end here, but maybe we can find one thing that'll trigger me. (58m 13s) That was always a good segment we've enjoyed but I'll get back to one thing I'll call back to what you were saying a second ago did to get. (58m 19s) So you said fireflies Joe is lightning bug interchangeable with fireflies with your address that I okay okay because I always like to like, you know, it's cool to see like what is regional to something like within a shitty is something I've never I've never fucking heard anyone using my life. (58m 35s) But until podcast, so like that's so it's a doughnut. (58m 38s) Like I had never heard that. (58m 41s) I had never heard whip in a shitty until the one day. (58m 43s) I'm driving down a country road and there are two young ladies selling. (58m 49s) Girl guide cookies and I happen to have cash. (58m 52s) I never have cash. (58m 53s) I looked at my wife and I was like, we're turning around and going to buy those cookies because those kids are just so cute. (59m) And then I was like, well, I'm actually going the other way. (59m 2s) And the mother actually went, I'll just turn in the driveway and whip a shitty. (59m 5s) If she had said that to me before I got into Massenomics, I'd have been like, do a what? (59m 11s) But yeah, so that's that's it. (59m 13s) Massenomics has expanded my vocabulary. (59m 17s) Lightning bug is interchangeable with Firefly. (59m 19s) But because of Bray Wyatt, everything is fireflies now. (59m 24s) Is it lightning bug? (59m 25s) Is it lightning bag or lightning bag? (59m 28s) Lightning boom. (59m 29s) You put the oomle out over the EU. (59m 33s) Nice. (59m 36s) >> Do you want to jump into overrated underrated with Chris? (59m 39s) >> Yeah, I think we can, okay, Chris, we can probably have this be one of the last segments here. (59m 46s) So these were some, actually, no, we had a question I think we missed earlier that one of our loyal listeners had asked. (59m 54s) Chris, what is your favorite meat to smoke? (59m 57s) And he asked it in a very much of a like, and implying that you smoke meat kind of manner. (1h 2s) And if you know what I mean. (1h 6s) That was how it was posed, but you're a big barbecue and girl guy, it looks like. (1h 12s) - This one I can elaborate on. (1h 13s) - Yeah, let's have it. (1h 14s) - As much as I love a brisket and I love ribs, (1h 20s) but smoking a brisket is just a pain in the ass. (1h 25s) Like just the fact that you gotta throw it on for two to three hours at a certain temperature, (1h 31s) then you gotta take it off, you gotta wrap it, (1h 33s) pull more shit in there with it, (1h 34s) then you gotta put it back on, (1h 36s) four to six hours and then it may stall and it's just a pain. (1h 40s) - That sounds horrible. (1h 42s) - But chicken turns out phenomenal. (1h 45s) Full chickens on there, turn out great. (1h 48s) Chicken thighs are awesome ball in there. (1h 52s) Pork butts are always amazing, (1h 55s) but I would go chicken and pork have to be, (1h 57s) just because it's super simple, (1h 59s) but it's kind of just season 'em, (1h 1m 1s) toss it in there and you're done. (1h 1m 3s) - Was that, you think you cut out right, (1h 1m 4s) you said juicy chicken and pork. (1h 1m 6s) chicken and pork. (1h 1m 7s) Yeah. (1h 1m 8s) Absolutely. (1h 1m 9s) Because I'm still not here. (1h 1m 11s) Chicken and pork are his two things. (1h 1m 14s) Okay. (1h 1m 15s) Well, it's you have your brothers to an extent, but it's it's one. (1h 1m 19s) So chicken or pork sugar get off the pot. (1h 1m 21s) Chicken. (1h 1m 22s) Chicken because it's. (1h 1m 24s) Any they come out perfect. (1h 1m 26s) Nice. (1h 1m 27s) Like no, it seems as a matter of how long they stay on there. (1h 1m 30s) They're just so good. (1h 1m 31s) Now, do you basically debone it or do you just eat it like a... (1h 1m 36s) You can just throw it on there and it's usually about three hours and you're done and you're good to go. (1h 1m 43s) Nice. So good. (1h 1m 46s) Okay. (1h 1m 47s) The more I look at the thing, the more I see there's like five questions we missed, but another one here. What about your favorite beer? (1h 1m 53s) Yes. (1h 2m 6s) some I think there was an anhyzer verse, cores, Miller kind of stuff. I don't know if that was more of a gag or like what is what it looks like. Tell us about the future. I know we'll do in the future. We'll probably I'm sure the crew of the week probably won't be as much as in the know. So this will be a lot more like spontaneous rather than this is kind of our friend Chris has kind of had access to all our show notes just because he's been a very in integral part of putting all this (1h 2m 36s) help in us and anything we need. He's been there to help us out and it's been up and along for the journey. So this is we're doing our best. All right. So if we're going (1h 2m 45s) anhyzer bush Miller cores, I will drink high life any day of the week. Wow. I cannot do I can't do anything by anhyzer bush. They threw with rice and it gives me incredible hangovers. (1h 2m 59s) Okay. That's how I feel about bug wiser. Like I haven't I haven't drink bug wiser. It's for like 16 or 17. But Budweiser is booed with rice. (1h 3m 6s) Yeah, but like, well, I, I drank bushlight probably until I, you know, I drank bushlight probably five or six years as a youth and then I think I'd switch over to Miller and then as all I'll touch and touch anymore nowadays is make culture and everyone calls it, you know, just basically water, but that's, that's my, I don't know man. (1h 3m 23s) I can drink three or four mcalchers and like seldom get a hangover so yeah, I can do like with Miller Miller highlights as old as my good to grow it up. (1h 3m 33s) That was good. (1h 3m 36s) I know big Matt loves other half and things from New York. (1h 3m 41s) Me and him talk beer quite often. (1h 3m 45s) And there's a, I keep meaning to send it down to them. (1h 3m 49s) There's a little brewery right around here. (1h 3m 52s) They're called Tone Wood. (1h 3m 54s) And they have a IPA called Fuego and it is. (1h 3m 58s) A very solid, not too happy. (1h 4m 1s) Like kind of it does ride the line middle of the road nice and. (1h 4m 6s) It's very good. (1h 4m 8s) That's what you want out of an IPA. (1h 4m 10s) I don't like those. (1h 4m 12s) I do kind of like them sometimes, but I have to be in the mood for them. (1h 4m 15s) Those ones that I, my wife says, they taste like a grapefruit farted on your tongue. (1h 4m 22s) Yeah. (1h 4m 23s) And she says that some of the IPAs can get that way because they're just so hoppy. (1h 4m 27s) So, yeah, interesting note, I wanted to point out and I kind of was zoning out for. (1h 4m 33s) for just a moment they're trying to remember what year it was, (1h 4m 36s) I'll never remember it, so we're going to forget I brought it up when FIFA I believe was in Germany, the World Cup or something like that, and Budweiser was a sponsor, they actually got really mad at that, because the Germanic laws of beer, you're only allowed to have four ingredients, but because Budweiser uses rice, they got really upset about it I don't know if it, I don't know if it was the Germans or somebody else but (1h 5m 6s) how I know that there's rice in interesting. (1h 5m 10s) - Oh yeah, I don't know what it is about there. (1h 5m 12s) Just, and it has to be the rice because it's the only thing that's different, (1h 5m 16s) but man, it kills me the next day. (1h 5m 18s) - So you're not a fan of rice and chicken, Chris. (1h 5m 22s) - I love rice. (1h 5m 25s) - There you go. (1h 5m 25s) - Somebody burritos them hung over. (1h 5m 29s) - Okay, I do think that might wrap up all our questions. (1h 5m 31s) And I know Big Joy had mentioned O'Rourke Dundrader. (1h 5m 34s) So if he wants to start us off in that. (1h 5m 36s) And you can see what process to say on some of these topics that were, I can't pick for him. (1h 5m 40s) Okay, um, yeah, these are supposed to be a surprise. So going forward, don't look at our notes. (1h 5m 47s) So overrated underrated. (1h 5m 51s) Overrated underrated. (1h 5m 55s) Sushi. (1h 5m 57s) Can I say, oh, you guys did your homework. (1h 6m) Yes, yes. (1h 6m 1s) And do you need to explain the rules about you know you can answer the question as long as you don't write the line (1h 6m 6s) Oh, yes, please. I'm assuming everybody knows. Yeah. So, um, overrated underrated is a series of topics that are handpicked for big Chris's damage. They are asked of you and you have to choose either overrated or underrated. (1h 6m 21s) You have your druthers, but you cannot write the line. You do have to write only one horse with one ass. (1h 6m 29s) This cannot be a chicken fort situation you have to fucking answer. (1h 6m 36s) This is going to yell at you. Do you want, you want the discord crew mom to yell at you again. (1h 6m 42s) If it's that big of a deal we can have Nate spend another 12 hours next week, believe in us out but I don't know what they'll do. (1h 6m 50s) Every people be a honk. (1h 6m 52s) So, I think I mentioned it last week it's not my fault like I'm listening, I'm listening to the older episodes like that, like I highly recommend it some I get that you super you know you're with your commute you can barely get the new episodes in but at some point (1h 7m 6s) you just just pick one randomly because that'll be funnier because you were like it'll be so obscure. Just but I'm listening to the early episodes of the Massanomics podcast and they were like it was, I was a free for all like when Tyler was still there like the two main hosts that are still on the podcast and the tall guys with the long hair and the beers, like it was a they were saying fuck left and right and like I don't remember the last time I heard either drop an F bomb on the episode so it's just it's that's in my mind because I'm listening to both podcasts simultaneously so to me it's like oh this is still like normal. (1h 7m 36s) It's just because this is the die this in the podcast today and everyone's cursing so I don't do apologize if my swearing offends anyone but to really don't overrated underrated sushi yes to go back into the beer thing and I don't like beer with beer with rice but I love rice and I love sushi is underrated (1h 8m 6s) I do on myself I will spend $60 on sushi. (1h 8m 11s) Now this was brought up this was brought up for you being of course swim hack from wish famous meme what is your favorite sushi. (1h 8m 25s) So I like the crazy ones but if I have to pick one a volcano rolls always good but everywhere makes a difference so you can't just say that. (1h 8m 36s) And then I will say a spicy salmon hand roll is by far. (1h 8m 44s) Is that the ones wrapped in the nori. Yeah absolutely hate those. (1h 8m 51s) I'm a dragon roll man myself. (1h 8m 53s) Dragon rolls are good. (1h 8m 55s) Yeah spicy salmon's up there for me for sure. (1h 8m 59s) And I overrated or underrated the boss brew springsteen. (1h 9m 7s) I will probably be the only person from New Jersey to say this but he is overrated. (1h 9m 13s) First, how dare you second who do you think you are. (1h 9m 18s) Why tell me tell me he's got a few songs that I like I do like the ghost Tom Joe. (1h 9m 24s) He's got songs that I do really like but he is a marina. (1h 9m 28s) I don't want to go here that he just mumbles. (1h 9m 31s) I don't I don't want to go listen to that I really don't. (1h 9m 36s) Kim. Wow. Okay, so underrated. All right. Overrated. (1h 9m 46s) It's like, it's got to be the region too, because I hear it so much that I'm just like, God, just just kill me already. (1h 9m 54s) I actually had the pleasure of seeing him live. Okay. When I was young. Not that I'm like a super fan of Bruce Springsteen. I think I could name three songs. (1h 10m 3s) I don't think it is a regional thing. He's big everywhere. Just not a... (1h 10m 7s) household. I feel like he hasn't been like, when's the last time he said a new single like 1980? (1h 10m 14s) Like, or am I just on my own face on that? Like, like, he was he peak in the early 90s? (1h 10m 19s) And he blew the last song that I think blew up for him was probably Streets of Philadelphia with the Philadelphia, the Tom Hanks movie. Because that's on that's on skyrocketed. Yeah, (1h 10m 29s) then he had another one called Devil's and Dust that actually I heard randomly. So it must have been pretty good, but I think that was early 2000s. (1h 10m 35s) Yeah. (1h 10m 37s) early 90s, 30 years ago, as sad as that is, like, that's like, I'm feeling. (1h 10m 41s) Again, how dare you, who do you think you are? It was not. Yeah. Okay. So overrated Bruce Bingstein, check. Overrated or underrated? I have no clue what this one's about. This one's from this cord crew. I know I'm assuming this is something you know, the Philly sports fan. All right. So this is a difficult one. (1h 11m 7s) Now, I'm not a new fan. I'm not a new fan. Not a flyer fan. Not a sexist fan. But I do like the Phillies. So I can kind of play both sides on this because some of them are assholes. (1h 11m 22s) Most of them are assholes. They make it extremely difficult to like another team and go to their stadium to watch another team play, especially if it's Dallas or the Giants. Anybody that's in their division in football. (1h 11m 37s) Might as well just wear an Eagle's jersey. (1h 11m 39s) Because they will never let you go. (1h 11m 41s) But if we're going over it, you're underrated. (1h 11m 44s) I'm going to say underrated because they are a fan base that will 100% always love their team. (1h 11m 52s) And if the team is playing shitty, they will let them know because they will stay there until the very end. (1h 11m 59s) They don't leave. (1h 12m) And then when you're walking off the field, they are booing you. (1h 12m 3s) They're letting you know how bad you are. (1h 12m 7s) Because they're totally never breeding when it comes to Philly sports. (1h 12m 11s) Okay. (1h 12m 12s) It's Billy Ford's Philly sports fan underrated. (1h 12m 15s) I had assumed that that was some sort of mascot. (1h 12m 18s) We will show that I have no clue what's going on in some ways. (1h 12m 23s) He was too. (1h 12m 25s) When he mentioned the Phillies, he was talking about a baseball team of old leaves for as I when you said Phillies, I think Joey's eyes kind of like, I don't know what he's talking about. (1h 12m 33s) I know the Eagles. (1h 12m 35s) I know. (1h 12m 37s) He named like the big four sports teams in Philadelphia basically. (1h 12m 42s) Are you closer to Philly than you would be like the like New York teams then? (1h 12m 47s) Yeah. (1h 12m 48s) Like the Jersey. (1h 12m 49s) I can be in Philly in like 15 minutes. (1h 12m 51s) Jesus. (1h 12m 52s) Yeah. (1h 12m 53s) That's crazy. (1h 12m 54s) You're close to big Frank. (1h 12m 55s) Where's big Frank at? (1h 12m 57s) Jersey. (1h 12m 58s) Oh, is he? (1h 12m 59s) Cause I got in New Jersey. (1h 13m 1s) Oh, sounds like a crew meet up on its way. (1h 13m 4s) Oh, you're talking about the legal Frank, right? (1h 13m 7s) He's North. (1h 13m 8s) He's North Jersey. (1h 13m 9s) He's way up there. (1h 13m 10s) He's like Ramapo area. (1h 13m 11s) So he's literally like, oh, okay. (1h 13m 13s) Like right outside New York. (1h 13m 15s) Okay. (1h 13m 16s) It just doesn't go through Carol stream. (1h 13m 17s) So I have no clue. (1h 13m 18s) It's direction. (1h 13m 19s) It's from him and I can argue with. (1h 13m 22s) Pork roll and things like that all day. (1h 13m 24s) And then whether or not there's a central Jersey or not. (1h 13m 28s) My, I have one experience with New Jersey. (1h 13m 31s) It's on, I was on my hunt to finish my work around a collection that one of the hosts is actually on. (1h 13m 38s) And I was like, oh, I got a company truck. (1h 13m 40s) My, I was like, oh, I got a company truck. (1h 13m 42s) And I was like, oh, I got a company truck. (1h 13m 44s) And I was like, oh, I got a company truck. (1h 13m 46s) My as well. (1h 13m 47s) It's only like a six hour drive or whatever it was. (1h 13m 49s) I didn't realize like, I like literally drove basically passed in through New York City to get to Jersey. (1h 13m 53s) And I'm like, man, I'm getting so much trouble going through like, like $100 with the tolls and a company truck using like $100 with the company gas. (1h 14m) And yeah, I saw New York City from a distance and I saw New Jersey. (1h 14m 4s) That was my one experience in your state, buddy. (1h 14m 7s) He probably came right down the term like. (1h 14m 9s) Yeah, it was a, it was the traffic is ridiculous. (1h 14m 13s) There is weird areas up in the, the northern part of New Jersey where if you take a wrong term, somehow you cross the border and you're in New York, but you're not in New York City. You're in like the, the rural parts of New York that are on the outskirts of the city. (1h 14m 28s) It's, it's so weird up there. (1h 14m 30s) I think it was my first experience, like the highways were like five lanes by, and then like, there were two lanes all the way to the left that were like. (1h 14m 37s) solely if you work in on or off. (1h 14m 38s) And then like that in the first time I said, (1h 14m 40s) they had incorporated easy passes that didn't actually have tolls. (1h 14m 43s) Like everything in New York now, (1h 14m 44s) there's no tolls for the easy pass, (1h 14m 46s) but like this was like five, six years ago. (1h 14m 49s) So like I was so confused like driving through a toll at like 60 miles an hour. (1h 14m 53s) Like, am I gonna like, is this gonna work? (1h 14m 56s) - We just actually got hit with the, (1h 14m 58s) from our little trip to Niagara Falls when we drove into Toronto, (1h 15m 3s) We drove down what is considered their easy pass. (1h 15m 7s) I have that thing. Ooh, I probably cost you an arm and a leg. It was like 80 bucks. (1h 15m 13s) Yeah, actually, when I, when I came down to the Arnold, we took our tolls, which is, of course, (1h 15m 18s) the version of the easy pass. And then I ended up on the way back doing the I-98, I want to say, (1h 15m 23s) through New York. That's nine. Well, I-90, I believe. I-90, thank you. Okay. Yeah, 9-0. (1h 15m 29s) Can I tell you that my toll for about less time was $35. (1h 15m 37s) >> But to drive all the way across New York was $3. (1h 15m 40s) >> [LAUGH] (1h 15m 41s) >> So I will tell you that American tools are significantly less expensive. (1h 15m 46s) >> You want to take- >> Okay. (1h 15m 47s) >> Yeah, Southern New Jersey to New York. (1h 15m 51s) You're going to be upwards of like $20 or $30. (1h 15m 55s) >> Yeah, so Mississauga to Toronto is $30. (1h 15m 59s) >> Yeah. (1h 15m 59s) >> And it's a 25 minute drive. (1h 16m 2s) Okay, last but not least, and this is when I added it at last minute. (1h 16m 5s) so I don't know if you saw this change. (1h 16m 8s) Overrated, underrated, wives who are active on Instagram. (1h 16m 21s) - Uh-huh, I went through the same thing. (1h 16m 24s) - That's a such a, we need to hear those brothers. (1h 16m 27s) - Brothers and brothers and brothers. (1h 16m 29s) - Verbal actually, the fans need to hear. (1h 16m 32s) - I really can't say it's overrated because everything my wife does on it is very, it brings money in the house, so. (1h 16m 40s) - It's all business related to her, right? (1h 16m 42s) - Definitely underrated, definitely underrated. (1h 16m 44s) Especially if they're putting it to good use and it's making money, then that underrated, (1h 16m 50s) 100% underrated. (1h 16m 51s) I also like being in the back of her videos. (1h 16m 54s) I don't even post that much for myself. (1h 16m 57s) That's what brought it up is you reposted a bunch of stuff. (1h 17m 2s) And I think at one point I followed her, but I don't know if I still do anymore. (1h 17m 7s) I don't know why, but I assume I have to be a very hard guest on the show because I don't post much whatsoever. (1h 17m 13s) It's mostly just what she does. And if I'm in the background in the background, that's all this. (1h 17m 18s) So I was I was debated about. (1h 17m 21s) I think it's going to get into this or not. (1h 17m 22s) So I think, you know, it's might be one of the good thing to kind of say so before you jump into that. (1h 17m 28s) Yeah. Let's just wrap this up. It looks like you passed overrated underrated. Oh, yeah. Yeah. (1h 17m 32s) So we will we will air this episode. (1h 17m 35s) We don't have any cool beans. (1h 17m 37s) So cool beans. Soundboard's coming. (1h 17m 40s) If we did, it would be the triple cool beans because we got to one up the other guys. (1h 17m 45s) Okay. But yes, sorry Keith interrupt. Just want to stop the segment so we can move into the last segment of the day. (1h 17m 52s) I was kind of correlated with the last overrated underrated. So big Chris, I'm not sure if you're aware, but you know, I slid into your wife's DMS buddy. (1h 18m) I was trying to fish for some scoop though insight trying to get some because basically like, you know, I wanted some more overrated. (1h 18m 8s) I want to see if she had any suggestions and I hate to tell a buddy, but your wife thinks you're kind of boring and doesn't really have much to say about shit. (1h 18m 17s) - Yeah, I will 100% agree with it. (1h 18m 21s) - Okay, well, I'm glad that's not a shock to you. (1h 18m 25s) She says she loves you dearly, you just, you know, (1h 18m 28s) you basically, you like to buy mass anomic shirts and smoke meats and, you know, a couple other things, (1h 18m 34s) but I might save that for off-air, and we'll try to risk it. (1h 18m 38s) - I will say-- - No, no, no, she was great. (1h 18m 40s) She was a good sport, but she just, (1h 18m 41s) she couldn't think of anything on the spot really. (1h 18m 43s) - If it makes you feel any better, (1h 18m 45s) although you probably feel fine about it, (1h 18m 47s) us men also like to refer to that as consistent. (1h 18m 51s) >> That's what it looks like. (1h 18m 52s) >> Some might call us boring, but the people who love us will call us consistent. (1h 18m 55s) >> [LAUGH] (1h 18m 57s) >> To see how much riot out in South Dakota, so we'll have a good time. (1h 19m 3s) >> It'll be a hell of a time, and I can't wait to see everybody there. (1h 19m 6s) It'll be, I remember talking to Big Jackson saying like, are you coming to the Arnhold? (1h 19m 13s) But because she was preparing for the Sheffield, she couldn't come. (1h 19m 15s) And I was like, yeah, it doesn't matter. (1h 19m 17s) The lift hardly visa is gonna be way more fun anyway, cuz I do think she plans on coming. (1h 19m 21s) The Arnhold was incredible for other reasons. (1h 19m 25s) But I do think that this is going to be just a lot more fun seeing. (1h 19m 30s) The Arnhold is a lot of people who you don't know, remember shark tooth? (1h 19m 34s) Like that guy, like the people that just are there to take themselves really seriously. (1h 19m 37s) They get in the way, there's too many people. (1h 19m 39s) And I think lift hardly visa is gonna be a lot of us that have no desire to take ourselves seriously. (1h 19m 46s) And that's gonna be, I think super fun for us. (1h 19m 49s) It's so kind of envy. (1h 19m 51s) I kind of envy Joey's situation. (1h 19m 53s) I don't envy your 24 hour drive or ride depending on how much depending on how much you decide. (1h 19m 57s) I have big steams. (1h 19m 57s) You know, I have big steams. (1h 19m 58s) I have big steams. (1h 19m 59s) It allows you to learn how to try to stick this car. (1h 20m 1s) But just the no pressure to lift. (1h 20m 5s) Like we couldn't really justify staying an extra day and leaving on Monday. (1h 20m 10s) So I'm like, I'm catching a flight. (1h 20m 12s) I had ever been at like 630 on Sunday morning. (1h 20m 14s) Like we're probably going to. (1h 20m 16s) I mean, I have to give myself a hard cut off of when I leave the zoo on Saturday. (1h 20m 19s) I'm like, I'm gonna be looking away from a good. (1h 20m 21s) time, but it's like, I just, I can't be completely still drunk the next morning. (1h 20m 26s) So I don't know, like one o'clock midnight, like I'm gonna have to call it quits at some point. (1h 20m 31s) So I'm kind of hoping that like we can have some crew meetups. If not, definitely Friday, possibly even. (1h 20m 36s) I think a lot of us are getting in Thursday too. So we'll be, we'll be pulling in Friday afternoon. (1h 20m 41s) If everything goes right, that'll be a bit of a party night, but it depends on when Wayne's and everything because maybe the crew does not want a party Friday night before the lift. (1h 20m 51s) So I might be able to just pay for, you know, an extended check out. (1h 20m 57s) But I mean, that doesn't say I'm not going to lift. (1h 21m 1s) I mean, I'm not gonna pretend that like I'm, my deadlifts are, I think, relatively impressive for my body weight. So I might like have some fun deadlifting with people, but it doesn't mean I'll be doing it to cues and and standards and stuff right. (1h 21m 17s) Yeah, I didn't mean to say you're not going to exert yourself physically. (1h 21m 21s) - I might pick up that way. (1h 21m 23s) - To me lifts are, our meats are like, (1h 21m 26s) it's like, you know, 80% mental, you know? (1h 21m 28s) It's like it's like it's like a fucking head game. (1h 21m 29s) It's like, if you're not mentally prepared and in the right spot, like you can really, (1h 21m 33s) like shit, the better to meet if you're just not, (1h 21m 35s) I don't know, it's just, especially me, (1h 21m 37s) I'm overanalyzing everything. (1h 21m 39s) So for me, like it's a, it's a, (1h 21m 41s) me, it's your heart sometimes, especially, (1h 21m 42s) I've never done a, I've never traveled for me. (1h 21m 44s) I've never done more than like drive two hours to go do a meat. (1h 21m 46s) So don't want to meet after often. (1h 21m 49s) Yeah, no, I'm not looking forward to that at all. (1h 21m 51s) But that's why I think, I think, (1h 21m 52s) I think most people are going into it. (1h 21m 55s) Like, I'm not going to hit a, I'm not going to hit a PR total. (1h 21m 58s) And if I am, it's like, great. (1h 21m 59s) But I'm, you know, I feel like a lot of people are like, (1h 22m 2s) if I can hit like 95% of my best day, (1h 22m 4s) like that'll be a fun meat. (1h 22m 5s) Like it's just we're here for fun. (1h 22m 6s) Not necessarily like. (1h 22m 7s) - Yeah, remember Dan Bell is going to be there. (1h 22m 11s) Right? (1h 22m 11s) Lindsey's going to be there. (1h 22m 13s) Jess is going to be there. (1h 22m 15s) Like the idea that somebody like me is going to go in and win anything is pretty silly. (1h 22m 20s) So like... (1h 22m 21s) I would say this old man, me old man, that's gonna be fun. (1h 22m 25s) Is old him coming? (1h 22m 26s) Yeah, he's gonna be on there. (1h 22m 28s) Oh, I can't wait to see him again. (1h 22m 29s) I'm gonna bring him some more Canadian beer. (1h 22m 31s) I owe him a couple beers. (1h 22m 32s) At the Arnold, that man was just like, (1h 22m 34s) "Here, have one, here, have one, here, have one." (1h 22m 35s) So I owe that man a couple beers. (1h 22m 37s) Yes. (1h 22m 39s) As long as they still keep the weighings at 9 o'clock, (1h 22m 43s) I'm all game for anything on product. (1h 22m 47s) Yeah, me too. (1h 22m 48s) It's gonna be fun. (1h 22m 50s) All right, I think. (1h 22m 51s) I'm ready to wrap things up if you guys are. (1h 22m 53s) We're ready to dive right into the to the podcast. (1h 22m 59s) All right, so I've already mentioned that our Instagram has changed. (1h 23m 3s) But it is unpaid dot and dot underrated now. (1h 23m 9s) I just wanted to make it a little easier for people to find. (1h 23m 11s) I am the moderator. So a lot of the time if you're messaging, (1h 23m 13s) you are talking to me. (1h 23m 15s) Remember the website, which is unpaid intern podcast.com. (1h 23m 19s) And of course, (1h 23m 21s) where can we find you guys? (1h 23m 24s) Well, but Chris, where you at, buddy? (1h 23m 27s) Oh, so big Chris, you can find me at on Instagram. It's a beer belly underscore list. (1h 23m 34s) And that's pretty much it because yes, I'm on Facebook, (1h 23m 38s) but I don't read this on there. So don't even go after that. (1h 23m 41s) And then I don't really use anything but Instagram. (1h 23m 44s) So pretty much it. (1h 23m 45s) Nice. So I am. (1h 23m 47s) So I am, uh, this is Big Keith, Big Keith on a kit, Instagram, Keith on. (1h 23m 51s) And I'm going to get 73 and go follow Massanomics on Instagram. (1h 23m 57s) That was a good call on that one. Uh, and, uh, oh, man, uh, sorry to Big Matt, uh, mostly squad videos. Uh, really wanted to get to you again this week, just kind of ran out of time. Uh, we will get hopefully to you next week. Uh, once again, thanks for tuning into the underrated underpaid. (1h 24m 14s) Crewcast, whatever the list of things you want to call us. Hopefully we will talk to somebody again next week. Absolutely. I'll. (1h 24m 22s) We'll see you next week. Take care. (1h 24m 23s) Ladies, guys.
