00:00:01:00 - 00:00:08:13 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry You have 20 amazing volunteer youth ministry leaders and you have no budget. 00:00:08:19 - 00:00:29:04 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry You want to appreciate them. You want to make sure that they feel seen and noticed and valued for what they give to your youth ministry, but you are literally scraping by. So in this episode, I'm going to give you 15 of my favorite budget $10, $15 or less. 00:00:29:06 - 00:00:50:01 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry Gifts that you can give to your small group leaders that still actually feel valuable. Welcome, everybody, to the hybrid Ministry show. Well, what is up, everybody? Welcome to the Hybrid Ministry show. If you and I haven't had a chance to meet yet, my name is Nick Klassen. I am a 16 year. I had to think about that for a second youth ministry leader. 00:00:50:05 - 00:01:17:07 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry And I know the importance and the value of small group leaders, like they're incredibly important. Now, the question that we have at hand, though, is if you have no budget, how do you like appreciate these leaders? For cheap, but in a way that doesn't feel cheap, you know what I'm saying? Like, you know what it's like to get a cheap gift that the person didn't have money or budget for. 00:01:17:08 - 00:01:42:16 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry And so you're like, oh, gee, thanks. How do we actually appreciate them in a meaningful way? Doesn't you know that your leaders aren't doing it because of the money? They don't need it to be expensive, but you also want it to feel worth it. So here are 15 of my favorite cheap youth volunteer gifts, and you should know that it is part two of the Mega Guide, linked down below the completely free Mega Guide. 00:01:42:18 - 00:02:01:23 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry Down below in the description is over on my Patreon, so might look like you have to pay to join, but you can join for free and get access to all of this in my entire list. So let's start off with the first category food and Drink. Number one gift cards always hit even if your budget is $15 or $10 or $5. 00:02:01:23 - 00:02:24:24 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry You can go buy a gift card at from Lenny Local coffee shop. Any favorite fast food? Or maybe you know all of your volunteers preferences. Maybe you have like a Starbucks person and then you have a Dunkin person. Then you have a local coffee shop person. You can take the time to go get them a custom gift, and pair that with a custom handwritten card that will definitely hit. 00:02:24:27 - 00:02:44:05 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry The next idea is maybe find a local coffee roaster, either a person that you know or a shop in town. Grab that coffee in bulk and then nicely bag it for them with little note tied to it, and it gives them like a cup of coffee. Really, you know, really nice. Really well done. We actually did this a couple years ago. 00:02:44:05 - 00:03:02:25 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry I used to roast my own coffee, and so I roasted coffee for all of my volunteer leaders, and they didn't get a big one in bulk. But it was still a nice touch and a nice gesture. And people were very thankful and complimentary for for the act. Number three, you could do like a branded mug with like your church or youth ministry logo. 00:03:02:25 - 00:03:25:00 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry So you have to kind of go find that and source that and get some that makes sense. And maybe you buy some extra. So like you buy some for first time guests or something like that, or you already have some on hand, you borrow from those and then give them like a hot chocolate bomb. And then the fourth idea is just like a homemade you make a bunch of homemade cookies, and then you put them in a tin that's linked in the in the guide. 00:03:25:00 - 00:03:47:25 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry And then once again, you pair that with a handwritten tag or some sort of handwritten note. Listen, here's the reality. Like you might not think that you need to do anything with social media. You might not even consider it that important. But here's the good news. Your students, they do. And they live in that world. Like we just had some students create a bar stool of our student ministry account. 00:03:47:26 - 00:04:06:27 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry It's like a satire account. It's like a it's like a spam account, but it gets incredible traction. And they have incredibly creative ideas. And so my seasonal social media pack is not done by Gen Z or Gen Alpha, right? But it is done with them in mind. And I will help coach you how to start creating a structure and a framework of content. 00:04:07:00 - 00:04:29:07 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry Maybe you're not the content creator. That's fine. Hand it over to a student and watch what they can do when you let their creativity be unleashed. And so I will keep you consistent. I'll keep you when when things get difficult. When your schedule gets busy, my pack will just keep things moving for you, okay? And then you hand it over to a student and you see what they can do. 00:04:29:09 - 00:04:52:22 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry Go check it out. It's less than the cost of a cup of coffee per month. Actually, if you get the Patreon Hybrid Hero membership to your $4 per month, you get access to all of my social media packs and we are releasing the one for fall. So go check out the fall seasonal social media pack. Even though this video looks very much like them right in the middle of summer, trust me, it's just Texas. 00:04:52:24 - 00:05:12:26 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry Okay, go check it out and back to the rest of the video. Ideas five through eight are actually like practical ideas. And so there are four different youth ministry books. So the first idea or the fifth idea I guess is the lead small book. I personally think it's one of the best, descriptions for small group leaders. That exists. 00:05:12:26 - 00:05:35:15 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry It's a quick read. It's easy, and it helps your leaders kind of know, like what their job description is. The other one is 99 thoughts for small Group leaders. The next one is the on the spot no prep games for youth ministry. I've personally used this one, and it's an amazing resource to hand to leaders when they're feeling stuck or in a pinch, or they don't know exactly how to proceed forward. 00:05:35:15 - 00:05:53:22 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry This this is a great idea book. Great. Just like resource for them to turn to if there ever in a room full of students and they're kind of in a pinch. And the last one is small group leaders quick guide to almost everything. Grab those books, see if you can get a book discount sort of order, and then pass them out to your leaders. 00:05:53:22 - 00:06:16:03 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry And then finally, this category is called Other Ideas. It's idea nine through 15. ID number nine is get them just like a nice pen and a nice notebook set. And once again pair it with a handwritten note and let them know just how much you value and appreciate them at the number ten. Practical A portable phone charger I got one here linked for under $10 you can get one to all of your leaders. 00:06:16:05 - 00:06:36:13 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry As just another way to say thank you. 11 in enamel pin set. It might just be a fun little thing that you maybe start this year as a tradition. Every year you get them a different pin for their year of service. So over, you know, ten years, they'll get ten different pins. And that's sort of like a way to commemorate them being a volunteer in your team. 00:06:36:15 - 00:07:00:21 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry Number 12, you can buy them a canvas tote. Number 13, you can give them a nice candle. Number 14, you get them a Christmas ornament custom with, like, the year and maybe their name. And then 15. This might be, like, the most meaningful of all. If they're small group leaders specifically, you can get a photo of their small group, put it in a in a frame, and then have all of the students write them a handwritten note as a thank you for what they do. 00:07:00:22 - 00:07:22:02 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry So these are just 15 ideas. Once again, go check out my Mega Christmas guide. Part one is games ten games part two is Leader Gift Ideas. So check those out. There are some links in there that you take you over to Amazon, and you can grab some of these things if you find them helpful. Share this with a friend. 00:07:22:02 - 00:07:30:22 Nick Clason | Hybrid Ministry If they are also in a pinch in budget season or Christmas season with their budget. But until next time my friends. And as always, don't ever forget. Stay hybrid.
